In this study, we conducted a numerical investigation on the Hall conductance ($σ_{Hall}$) of graphene based on the magnetic energy band structure calculated using a nonperturbative magnetic-field-containing relativistic tight-binding approximation (MFRTB) method. The nonperturbative MFRTB can revisit two types of plateaus for the dependence of $σ_{Hall}$ on Fermi energy. One set is characterized as wide plateaus (WPs). These WPs have filling factors (FFs) of 2, 6, 10, 14, etc. and are known as the half-integer quantum Hall effect. The width of WPs decreases with increasing FF, which exceeds the decrease expected from the linear dispersion relation of graphene. The other set is characterized by narrow plateaus (NPs), which have FFs of 0, 4, 8, 12, etc. The NPs correspond to the energy gaps caused by the spin-Zeeman effect and spin-orbit interaction. Furthermore, it was discovered that the degeneracy of the magnetic energy bands calculated using the nonperturbative MFRTB method leads to a quantized $σ_{Hall}$.

For a long time predicting, studying and analyzing financial indices has been of major interest for the financial community. Recently, there has been a growing interest in the Deep-Learning community to make use of reinforcement learning which has surpassed many of the previous benchmarks in a lot of fields. Our method provides a feature rich environment for the reinforcement learning agent to work on. The aim is to provide long term profits to the user so, we took into consideration the most reliable technical indicators. We have also developed a custom indicator which would provide better insights of the Bitcoin market to the user. The Bitcoin market follows the emotions and sentiments of the traders, so another element of our trading environment is the overall daily Sentiment Score of the market on Twitter. The agent is tested for a period of 685 days which also included the volatile period of Covid-19. It has been capable of providing reliable recommendations which give an average profit of about 69%. Finally, the agent is also capable of suggesting the optimal actions to the user through a website. Users on the website can also access the visualizations of the indicators to help fortify their decisions.

To do this we first show that if G is a topological group and H is any generalized covering subgroup of fundamental group of G, then H is as intersection of all covering subgroups, which contain H. Unfortunately, they are also relatively error-prone and have low resistance on/off ratio. This suggests that as computing elements, they are best suited for non-Boolean architectures. Here, we propose and analyze a ternary content addressable memory implemented with s-MTJs and some transistors. It overcomes challenges encountered by traditional all-transistor implementations, resulting in exceptionally high cell density.

Protein structure prediction is considered as one of the most challenging and computationally intractable combinatorial problem. Thus, the efficient modeling of convoluted search space, the clever use of energy functions, and more importantly, the use of effective sampling algorithms become crucial to address this problem. For protein structure modeling, an off-lattice model provides limited scopes to exercise and evaluate the algorithmic developments due to its astronomically large set of data-points. In contrast, an on-lattice model widens the scopes and permits studying the relatively larger proteins because of its finite set of data-points. In this work, we took the full advantage of an on-lattice model by using a face-centered-cube lattice that has the highest packing density with the maximum degree of freedom. We proposed a graded energy-strategically mixes the Miyazawa-Jernigan (MJ) energy with the hydrophobic-polar (HP) energy-based genetic algorithm (GA) for conformational search. In our application, we introduced a 2x2 HP energy guided macro-mutation operator within the GA to explore the best possible local changes exhaustively. Conversely, the 20x20 MJ energy model-the ultimate objective function of our GA that needs to be minimized-considers the impacts amongst the 20 different amino acids and allow searching the globally acceptable conformations. On a set of benchmark proteins, our proposed approach outperformed state-of-the-art approaches in terms of the free energy levels and the root-mean-square deviations.

Protein structure prediction is a challenging and unsolved problem in computer science. Proteins are the sequence of amino acids connected together by single peptide bond. The combinations of the twenty primary amino acids are the constituents of all proteins. In-vitro laboratory methods used in this problem are very time-consuming, cost-intensive, and failure-prone. Thus, alternative computational methods come into play. The protein structure prediction problem is to find the three-dimensional native structure of a protein, from its amino acid sequence. The native structure of a protein has the minimum free energy possible and arguably determines the function of the protein. In this study, we present the preliminaries of proteins and their structures, protein structure prediction problem, and protein models. We also give a brief overview on experimental and computational methods used in protein structure prediction. This study will provide a fundamental knowledge to the computer scientists who are intending to pursue their future research on protein structure prediction problem.

Healthcare institutes enrich the repository of patients' disease related information in an increasing manner which could have been more useful by carrying out relational analysis. Data mining algorithms are proven to be quite useful in exploring useful correlations from larger data repositories. In this paper we have implemented Association Rules mining based a novel idea for finding co-occurrences of diseases carried by a patient using the healthcare repository. We have developed a system-prototype for Clinical State Correlation Prediction (CSCP) which extracts data from patients' healthcare database, transforms the OLTP data into a Data Warehouse by generating association rules. The CSCP system helps reveal relations among the diseases. The CSCP system predicts the correlation(s) among primary disease (the disease for which the patient visits the doctor) and secondary disease/s (which is/are other associated disease/s carried by the same patient having the primary disease).

Protein structure prediction (PSP) is computationally a very challenging problem. The challenge largely comes from the fact that the energy function that needs to be minimised in order to obtain the native structure of a given protein is not clearly known. A high resolution 20x20 energy model could better capture the behaviour of the actual energy function than a low resolution energy model such as hydrophobic polar. However, the fine grained details of the high resolution interaction energy matrix are often not very informative for guiding the search. In contrast, a low resolution energy model could effectively bias the search towards certain promising directions. In this paper, we develop a genetic algorithm that mainly uses a high resolution energy model for protein structure evaluation but uses a low resolution HP energy model in focussing the search towards exploring structures that have hydrophobic cores. We experimentally show that this mixing of energy models leads to significant lower energy structures compared to the state-of-the-art results.

In literature usual point like symmetries of the Lagrangian have been introduced to study the symmetries and the structure of the fields. This kind of Noether symmetry is a subclass of a more general family of symmetries, called Noether Gauge Symmetries (NGS). Motivated by this mathematical tool, in this article, we discuss the generalized Noether symmetry of Quintom model of dark energy, which is a two component fluid model of quintessence and phantom fields. Our model is a generalization of the Noether symmetries of a single and multiple components which have been investigated in detail before. We found the general form of the quintom potential in which the whole dynamical system has a point like symmetry. We investigated different possible solutions of the system for diverse family of gauge function. Specially, we discovered two family of potentials, one corresponds to a free quintessence (phantom) and the second is in the form of quadratic interaction between two components. These two families of potential functions are proposed from the symmetry point of view, but in the quintom models they are used as phenomenological models without clear mathematical justification. From integrability point of view, we found two forms of the scale factor: one is power law and second is de-Sitter. Some cosmological implications of the solutions have been investigated

Its definition follows from the entropy-area relation $S(A)$, where $S$ and $A$ are entropy and area respectively. In the framework of loop quantum gravity, a modified definition of HDE called "entropy-corrected holographic dark energy" (ECHDE) has been proposed recently to explain dark energy with the help of quantum corrections to the entropy-area relation. Using this new definition, we establish a correspondence between modified variable Chaplygin gas, new modified Chaplygin gas and the viscous generalized Chaplygin gas with the entropy corrected holographic dark energy and reconstruct the corresponding scalar potentials which describe the dynamics of the scalar field.

Thus our results indicate that the restriction $0<c<1$ on the coupling constant occurs as a very special case. Our analysis also supports the existence of phantom energy under certain conditions on the coupling constant.
