We present a new model of the Discrete-Time Open Quantum Walk (DTOQW) applicable to an arbitrary graph, thereby going beyond the case of quantum walks on regular graphs. The impact of noise is studied by constructing Kraus operators of different dimensions, making use of the Weyl operators. These Kraus operators are employed as the coin operators of the DTOQW. The walker dynamics is studied under the impact of non-Markovian amplitude damping, depolarizing and dephasing noise channels. In addition, the walk is implemented on arbitrary graphs, such as path graph, cycle graph, star graph, complete graph, and complete bipartite graph. The dynamics, due to the influence of noise, is gauged by computing the coherence and fidelity at different time steps. Further, the probability distribution, representing the availability of the quantum walker at different vertices of the graph, is computed at different time steps for the above noises.

This article investigates the existence of an $r$-primitive $k$-normal polynomial, defined as the minimal polynomial of an $r$-primitive $k$-normal element in $\mathbb{F}_{q^n}$, with a specified degree $n$ and two given coefficients over the finite field $\mathbb{F}_{q}$. Here, $q$ represents an odd prime power, and $n$ is an integer. The article establishes a sufficient condition to ensure the existence of such a polynomial. Using this condition, it is demonstrated that a $2$-primitive $2$-normal polynomial of degree $n$ always exists over $\mathbb{F}_{q}$ when both $q\geq 11$ and $n\geq 15$. However, for the range $10\leq n\leq 14$, uncertainty remains regarding the existence of such a polynomial for $71$ specific pairs of $(q,n)$. Moreover, when $q<11$, the number of uncertain pairs reduces to $16$. Furthermore, for the case of $n=9$, extensive computational power is employed using SageMath software, and it is found that the count of such uncertain pairs is reduced to $3988$.

The assumption that no LoS channels exist between wireless access points~(APs) and user equipments~(UEs) becomes questionable in the context of the recent developments in the direction of cell free massive multiple input multiple output MIMO~(CF-mMIMO) systems. In CF-mMIMO systems, the access point density is assumed to be comparable to, or much larger than the the user density, thereby leading to the possibility of existence of LoS links between the UEs and the APs, depending on the local propagation conditions. In this paper, we compare the rates achievable by CF-mMIMO systems under probabilistic LoS/ NLos channels, with and without acquiring the channel state information~(CSI) of the fast fading components. We show that, under sufficiently large AP densities, statistical beamforming that does not require the knowledge about the fast fading components of the channels, performs almost at par with full beamforming, utilizing the information about the fast fading channel coefficients, thus potentially avoiding the need for training during every frame. We validate our results via detailed Monte Carlo simulations, and also elaborate the conditions under which statistical beamforming can be successfully employed in massive MIMO systems with LoS/ NLoS channels.

Moreover, for $n>6k$, we show that there always exists an $r$-primitive and $k$-normal element $α$ such that $α^{-1}$ is also $r$-primitive and $k$-normal in all but finitely many fields $\mathbb{F}_{q^n}$ over $\mathbb{F}_q$, where $q$ and $n$ are such that $r\mid q^n-1$ and there exists a $k$-degree polynomial $g(x)\mid x^n-1$ over $\mathbb{F}_q$. This study reports first synthesis of MXene-derived co-existing phases. New family of two-dimensional materials such as Ti3C2 namely MXene, having transition metal forming hexagonal structure with carbon atoms have attracted tremendous interest now a days. We have reported structural, optical and magnetic properties of undoped and La-doped Ti3C2Tx MXene synthesized using co-precipitation method. The c-lattice parameters (c-LP) calculated for La-MXene is c=18.3Å which is slightly different from the parent un-doped MXene (c=19.2Å), calculated from X-ray diffraction data. The doping of La+3 ions shrinks Ti3C2Tx layers perpendicular to the planes but expands slightly the in-plane lattice parameters. The band gap for MXene is calculated to be 1.06 eV which is increased to 1.44 eV after the doping of La+3 ion that shows its good semiconducting nature. The experimental results for magnetic properties of both the samples have been presented and discussed, indicating the presence of ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic phases co-existing. The results presented here are unique and first report on magnetic properties of two-dimensional carbides for magnetic data storage applications.

With the growing economy, e-learning consequently gained increasing attention as it conveys knowledge globally with improved interactivity, assistance, and reduced costs. For the past few years, accidental challenges have become the severe problem with railway units due to irresponsibility, lack of knowledge and improper guidance of station controllers (learners). While focusing on e-learning technologies railway units failed to admit learner's need, cultural diversity and background skills by creating ethnically impartial e-learning environments, which resulted in inadequate training and degraded performance. The purpose of this study is to understand the vision of a global diverse group of station traffic controllers about e-learning courses developed by their individual railway units. The opinions of these officials have been verified by questionnaires on the basis of course organization, course accuracy, course effectiveness, course relevance, course productivity and course interactivity. The results obtained show that the developed e-learning course was highly helpful, interactive, creative, and user-friendly for learners. This lead to making e-learning conquered among independent learners.

E-learning and online education have made great strides in the recent past. It has moved from a knowledge transfer model to a highly intellect, swift and interactive proposition capable of advanced decision-making abilities. Two challenges have been observed during the exploration of recent developments in e-learning. Firstly, to incorporate e-learning systems effectively in the evolving semantic web environment and secondly, to realize adaptive personalization according to the learner's changing behavior. An ontology-driven system has proposed to implement the Felder-Silverman learning style model in addition to the learning contents, to validate its integration with the semantic web environment. Software agents are employed to monitor the learner's actual learning style and modify them accordingly. The learner's learning style and their modifications are made within the proposed e-learning system. Cloud storage is used as the primary back-end in order to maintain the ontology, databases and other required server resources. To verify the system, comparisons are made between the information presented and adaptive learning styles of the learner along with actions of agents according to learners' behavior. Finally, various conclusions are drawn by exploring the learner's behavior in an adaptive environment for the proposed e-learning system.

The current learning systems typically lack the level of metacognitive awareness, self-directed learning, and time management skills. Most of the ontologically based learning management systems are in the proposed phase and those which are developed do not provide the necessary path guidance for proper learning. The systems available are not as adaptive from the viewpoint of the learner as required. Ontology engineering has become an important pillar for knowledge management and representation in recent years. The design, approach, and implementation of ontology in e-learning and m-learning systems have made them more effective. In this paper, we have proposed a system for the betterment of knowledge management and representation of associated data as compared to the previously available learning management systems. Here, we have presented the application and implementation of ontological engineering methodology in the Computer Science domain. For knowledge management, we have created a domain associated ontology which represents knowledge of a single domain. Subsequently, ontology has been created to manage a learner profile so that a learner may be aligned to a proper path of learning. The learner ontology will use the VARK learning model which classifies what kind of learning does the learner requires so that necessary resources could be provided.

Several challenges are faced by citizens of urban centers while dealing with day-to-day events, and the absence of a centralised reporting mechanism makes event-reporting and redressal a daunting task. With the push on information technology to adapt to the needs of smart-cities and integrate urban civic services, the use of Open311 architecture presents an interesting solution. In this paper, we present a novel approach that uses an existing Open311 ontology to classify and report non-emergency city-events, as well as to guide the citizen to the points of redressal. The use of linked open data and the semantic model serves to provide contextual meaning and make vast amounts of content hyper-connected and easily-searchable. Such a one-size-fits-all model also ensures reusability and effective visualisation and analysis of data across several cities. By integrating urban services across various civic bodies, the proposed approach provides a single endpoint to the citizen, which is imperative for smooth functioning of smart cities.

In this article, we consider the classical complexity and fixed-parameter tractability of $(a)$ Simultaneous Consecutive Ones Submatrix ($SC1S$) and $(b)$ Simultaneous Consecutive Ones Editing ($SC1E$) [Oswald et al., Theoretical Comp. We consider the parameterized versions of $SC1S$ and $SC1E$ problems with $d$, being the solution size, as the parameter. Given a binary matrix $M$ and a positive integer $d$, $d$-$SC1S$-$R$, $d$-$SC1S$-$C$, and $d$-$SC1S$-$RC$ problems decide whether there exists a set of rows, columns, and rows as well as columns, respectively, of size at most $d$, whose deletion results in a matrix with the $SC1P$. Medical images are produced and transferred between hospitals for review by physicians who are geographically apart. Such image data need to be stored for future reference of patients as well. This necessitates compact storage of medical images before being transmitted over Internet. Moreover, as the patient information is also embedded within the medical images, it is very important to maintain the confidentiality of patient data. Hence, this article aims at hiding patient information as well, within the medical image followed by joint compression. For Épsilon = 0, the chemical potential μ = - 0.27 eV for 10% doping level, and |v0| \geq |t| (where |t| = 0.25 eV is the first neighbor hopping), at zero/non-zero magnetic field (B), the FS on the first Brillouin zone are found to correspond to Fermi pockets around anti-nodal regions and barely visible patches around nodal regions. For Épsilon \neq 0, we find Pomeranchuk distortion of FS. We next relate our findings regarding FS to the magneto-quantum oscillations in the electronic specific heat. Since the nodal quasi-particle energy values for B = 0 are found to be greater than μ for |v0| \geq |t|, the origin of the oscillations for non-zero B corresponds to the Fermi pockets around anti-nodal regions. The oscillations are shown to take place for 17 T \leq B \leq 53 T and beyond in the weak disorder regime (|v0|=0.25eV) only.

Abstract:
We present our best estimates of the uncertainties due to heavy particle threshold corrections on the unification scale $M_U$, intermediate scale $M_I$ and coupling constant Alpha_U in the minimal non-supersymmetric SO(10) models. Using these , we update the predictions for proton life-time in these models.
