Entanglement and nonlocality are two important nonclassical features of quantum correlations. Recently the study of quantum correlations in networks has undergone remarkable progress owing to technological development towards scalable quantum networks. However, compared to standard Bell scenario, manifestation of the interplay between these two aspects has received less attention in network scenarios featuring independent sources. In this work we have analyzed the relation between entanglement content of the sources and detectable non n-locality in two distinct network topologies(linear and star). We have studied the extremal violations of n-local inequalities(compatible with linear and star network) for any fixed amount of entanglement(in terms of concurrence) of the independent sources. It is observed that each of the sources must be entangled for detecting non n-locality in linear network. However, the same is not true for star n-local network. Present analysis is revealing that entanglement of all the independent sources is not a necessity for generation of non n-local correlations in star topology. Characterization of sources in terms of minimum entanglement requirement for any fixed violation amount of the n-local inequalities is also provided. Interestingly, detection of non n-locality is ensured in the network if product of concurrence of all the sources involved exceeds 1/2. .

The Be/X-ray binary pulsar RX J0440.9+4431 went through a giant outburst in December 2022 with a peak flux of $\sim$2.3 Crab in 15--50 keV. We studied the broad-band timing and spectral properties of RX J0440.9+4431 using four $AstroSat$ observations, where the source transited between subcritical and supercritical accretion regimes. Pulsations were detected significantly above 100 keV. The pulse profiles were found to be highly luminosity- and energy-dependent. A significant evolution in the pulse profile shape near the peak of the outburst indicates a possible change in the accretion mode and beaming patterns of RX J0440.9+4431. The rms pulsed fraction was luminosity- and energy-dependent, with a concave-like feature around 20--30 keV. The depth of this feature varied with luminosity, indicating changes in the accretion column height and proportion of reflected photons. The broad-band continuum spectra were best fitted with a two-component Comptonization model with a blackbody component or a two-blackbody component model with a thermal Comptonization component. A quasi-periodic oscillation at 60 mHz was detected at a luminosity of $2.6 \times 10^{37}$ erg s$^{-1}$, which evolved into 42 mHz at $1.5 \times 10^{37}$ erg s$^{-1}$. The QPO rms were found to be energy dependent with an overall increasing trend with energy. For the first time, we found the QPO frequency varying with photon energy in an X-ray pulsar, which poses a challenge in explaining the QPO with current models such as the Keplarian and beat frequency model. Hence, more physically motivated models are required to understand the physical mechanism behind the mHz QPOs.

The Aharonov-Bohm (AB) caging is the phenomenon of extreme localization of particles experiencing magnetic field in certain tight binding lattices. While the AB caging involves the localization of non-interacting particles, it often breaks down due to the effect of interaction resulting in delocalization. In this study, however, we show that interactions under proper conditions can restore the AB caging of particles. By analysing the dynamics of two bosons possessing both onsite and nearest neighbor interactions on a one dimensional diamond/rhombus lattice pierced by an artificial gauge field, we show that the AB caging is restored when both the interactions are of equal strengths. Furthermore, the AB caged bosons, with the onset of an antisymmetric correlated onsite disorder in the lattice, escape from the cages, demonstrating the phenomenon of inverse Anderson transition which is known to be exhibited by the non-interacting AB caged particles. We also obtain situation similar to the inverse Anderson transition when an external potential gradient is applied to the lattice. These findings offer route to realize the AB caging and inverse Anderson transition of interacting particles in experiments involving ultracold atoms in optical lattices or superconducting circuits.

The recent surge in AI-generated songs presents exciting possibilities and challenges. While these inventions democratize music creation, they also necessitate the ability to distinguish between human-composed and synthetic songs to safeguard artistic integrity and protect human musical artistry. Existing research and datasets in fake song detection only focus on singing voice deepfake detection (SVDD), where the vocals are AI-generated but the instrumental music is sourced from real songs. However, these approaches are inadequate for detecting contemporary end-to-end artificial songs where all components (vocals, music, lyrics, and style) could be AI-generated. Additionally, existing datasets lack music-lyrics diversity, long-duration songs, and open-access fake songs. To address these gaps, we introduce SONICS, a novel dataset for end-to-end Synthetic Song Detection (SSD), comprising over 97k songs (4,751 hours) with over 49k synthetic songs from popular platforms like Suno and Udio. Furthermore, we highlight the importance of modeling long-range temporal dependencies in songs for effective authenticity detection, an aspect entirely overlooked in existing methods. To utilize long-range patterns, we introduce SpecTTTra, a novel architecture that significantly improves time and memory efficiency over conventional CNN and Transformer-based models. In particular, for long audio samples, our top-performing variant outperforms ViT by 8% F1 score while being 38% faster and using 26% less memory. Additionally, in comparison with ConvNeXt, our model achieves 1% gain in F1 score with 20% boost in speed and 67% reduction in memory usage. Other variants of our model family provide even better speed and memory efficiency with competitive performance.

We study the emergent dynamics of quantum self-sustained oscillators induced by the simultaneous presence of attraction and repulsion in the coupling path. We consider quantum Stuart-Landau oscillators under attractive-repulsive coupling and construct the corresponding quantum master equation in the Lindblad form. We discover an interesting symmetry-breaking transition from quantum limit cycle oscillation to quantum inhomogeneous steady state; This transition is contrary to the previously known symmetry-breaking transition from quantum homogeneous to inhomogeneous steady state. The result is supported by the analysis on the noisy classical model of the quantum system in the weak quantum regime. Remarkably, we find the generation of entanglement associated with the symmetry-breaking transition that has no analogue in the classical domain. This study will enrich our understanding of the collective behaviors shown by coupled oscillators in the quantum domain.

During the outburst, two target of opportunity observations were made with \textit{NuSTAR}. The main goal of this work is to model the multiple cyclotron scattering features (CRSFs) present in 4U 0115$+$63 and study their dependence on the luminosity of the source. The 3$-$79 keV broadband X-ray coverage of \textit{NuSTAR} allowed us to properly model the continuum and investigate the nature of the multiple cyclotron resonance scattering features present in the source spectrum. We used the epoch-folding technique to find the pulsation from the source and also studied the changes in the cyclotron line energy with an order of magnitude variation in the source luminosity. We detected five cyclotron lines during the 2023 outburst near 12, 16, 24, 34, and 47 keV. The $\sim$16 keV cyclotron line cannot be harmonically related to the other cyclotron lines at $\sim$12 keV and $\sim$24 keV. This indicates the presence of two fundamental lines in the spectrum of 4U 0115$+$63 at 12 keV and 16 keV. With the inclusion of the two latest \textit{NuSTAR} observations, we have expanded the data set of the CRSF line center to encompass a broad range of luminosity. This enables us to comprehensively investigate the relationship between the centroid energy of the cyclotron lines and luminosity. The CRSF line center shows no anticorrelation with luminosity, unlike previously reported. Instead, a weak positive correlation is found in four out of the five detected cyclotron lines of 4U 0115$+$63. The luminosity variation of the two fundamental CRSFs could be well explained with the prediction from the collisionless shock model.

A non-Hermitian complex scalar field model is considered from its $\mc{PT}$ symmetric aspect. A matrix constructed from the Euler-Lagrange equations of motion is utilized to analyze the states of the model. The model has two mass terms which determine the real or complex nature of the eigen values. A mismatch is found in the Lagrange equations of motion of the fields as the equations do not agree with the other after complex conjugation of the either. This is resolved by exploiting a preferred similarity transformation of the Lagrangian. The discrepancy even at the Hamiltonian level is found to have vanished once we consider the similarity transformed Hamiltonian.

The persistent underrepresentation of women and other gender minorities in physical science fields has been an ongoing concern. This study investigates gender dynamics in introductory physics laboratory courses, specifically exploring whether students of different gender identities exhibit equal inclination and confidence in conducting lab experiments, and whether they face barriers that impact their participation. The study was conducted across three institutions, involving non-physics students enrolled in algebra-based and calculus-based physics courses. Our findings reveal no significant differences in participation levels across genders in various lab activities. However, a subtle yet significant trended was observed: non-male students tend to express greater preferences and comfort levels for note-taking, calculations, and graphing tasks compared to their male counterparts, who gravitated more towards hands-on equipment handling. Although no overt barriers deterring participation based solely on gender were identified, some students reported experiences or witnessed instances where gender dynamics hindered full engagement, such as assumptions about competence or difficulty asserting voices in male-dominated groups. These findings contribute insights into potential gender-based inclinations and experiences within laboratory environments. The results underscore the importance of fostering an inclusive climate that encourages equitable opportunities and engagement from all gender identities in scientific exploration and learning.

These can be used to search for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics via $2νββ$ decay spectral distortions. $^{100}$Mo has a natural advantage due to its relatively short half-life, allowing higher $2νββ$ decay statistics at equal exposures compared to the other isotopes. We demonstrate the potential of the dual read-out bolometric technique exploiting a $^{100}$Mo exposure of 1.47 kg $\times$ y, acquired in the CUPID-Mo experiment at the Modane underground laboratory (France). We set limits on $0νββ$ decays with the emission of one or more Majorons, on $2νββ$ decay with Lorentz violation, and $2νββ$ decay with a sterile neutrino emission. In this analysis, we investigate the systematic uncertainty induced by modeling the $2νββ$ decay spectral shape parameterized through an improved model, an effect never considered before. This work motivates searches for BSM processes in the upcoming CUPID experiment, which will collect the largest amount of $2νββ$ decay events among the next-generation experiments.

In a search for the presence of QPOs in 99 \textit{XMM-Newton} and \textit{NuSTAR} observations, we detected QPOs in eleven observations of five sources, viz., 4U 1626--67 (48 mHz), IGR J19294+1816 (30 mHz), V 0332+53 (2, 18 and 40 mHz), Cen X--3 (30 mHz), and XTE J1858+034 (180 mHz). A positive correlation of the QPO rms amplitude with energy is exhibited by 4U 1626--67, IGR J19294+1816, Cen X--3 and XTE J1858+034, while no energy dependence is observed in V 0332+53. We also analysed the energy spectrum to decouple thermal (soft-excess) from non-thermal emission and determine if the soft-excess has different QPO properties. We found no evidence for different QPO characteristics of the soft excess. The \textit{NuSTAR} observations of V 0332+53 during the Type-I outburst in 2016 show the presence of twin QPOs at 2.5 mHz and 18 mHz, while the \textit{XMM-Newton} and \textit{NuSTAR} observations during the Type-II outburst in 2015 show a QPO at 40 mHz. We review the observed QPO properties in the context of QPOs found in other types of accreting sources and the models usually used to explain the QPOs in accreting X-ray pulsars.

We present the broadband X-ray study of the BeXRB pulsar IGR J06074+2205 using NuSTAR observations. The temporal and spectral characteristics of the source are investigated. We detect coherent X-ray pulsations of the source and determine the spin period evolution. Using the current spin period data of the source, we show that the source is spinning down at 0.0202(2)\; s\; $day^{-1}$. The pulse profiles are found to evolve with energy and luminosity. Another interesting feature of the source is that the pulse profiles are dual peaked. The dual-peaked pulse profile is characterized by a decreasing secondary peak amplitude with increasing energy. We also observed a proportionate increase in the primary peak amplitude as the energy increases. The pulse fraction exhibits an overall increasing trend with the energy. The X-ray continuum of the source indicates the existence of a characteristic absorption feature with a centroid energy $\sim 55$ keV, which may be interpreted as a cyclotron line. We estimate the corresponding magnetic field strength to be $\sim4.74\times10^{12}$ G. A peculiar `10 keV' absorption feature is observed in the X-ray spectra of the second observation. The luminosity measurements predict that the source may be accreting in the sub-critical regime.

Missing values or data is one popular characteristic of real-world datasets, especially healthcare data. This could be frustrating when using machine learning algorithms on such datasets, simply because most machine learning models perform poorly in the presence of missing values. The aim of this study is to compare the performance of seven imputation techniques, namely Mean imputation, Median Imputation, Last Observation carried Forward (LOCF) imputation, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) imputation, Interpolation imputation, Missforest imputation, and Multiple imputation by Chained Equations (MICE), on three healthcare datasets. Some percentage of missing values - 10\%, 15\%, 20\% and 25\% - were introduced into the dataset, and the imputation techniques were employed to impute these missing values. The comparison of their performance was evaluated by using root mean squared error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE). The results show that Missforest imputation performs the best followed by MICE imputation. Additionally, we try to determine whether it is better to perform feature selection before imputation or vice versa by using the following metrics - the recall, precision, f1-score and accuracy. Due to the fact that there are few literature on this and some debate on the subject among researchers, we hope that the results from this experiment will encourage data scientists and researchers to perform imputation first before feature selection when dealing with data containing missing values.

We report here results from pulse arrival time delay analysis of the eclipsing high mass X-ray binary pulsar LMC X-4 using observations made with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer, XMM-Newton, NuSTAR and AstroSat. Combining the orbital parameters determined from these observations with the historical measurements dating back to 1998, we have extended the $T_{π/2}$ epoch history of LMC X-4 by about 4600 binary orbits spanning about 18 years. We also report mid-eclipse time measurements ($T_{ecl}$) using data obtained from wide-field X-ray monitors of MAXI-GSC and Swift-BAT. Combining the new $T_{π/2}$ and $T_{ecl}$ estimates with all the previously reported values, we have significantly improved the orbital evolution measurement, which indicates that the orbital period is evolving at a time scale ($P_{\rm orb}/\dot{P}_{\rm orb}$ ) of about 0.8 Myr. For the first time in an accreting X-ray pulsar system, we confirm the existence of a second derivative of the orbital period, having an evolution time scale ($\dot{P}_{orb}/\ddot{P}_{orb}$) of about 55 yr. Detection of a second derivative of the orbital period in LMC X-4 makes its orbital evolution timescale more uncertain, which may also be true for other HMXBs. Independent solutions for the orbital evolution measurement using the mid-eclipse data and the pulse timing data are consistent with each other, and help us put an upper limit of 0.009 on the eccentricity of the binary system.

In eclipsing X-ray binary systems, the direct X-ray emission is blocked by the companion star during the eclipse. We observe only reprocessed emission that contains clues about the environment of the compact object and its chemical composition, ionization levels, etc. We have found flares in some X-ray binaries during their eclipses. The study of eclipse flares provides additional clues regarding the size of the reprocessing region and helps distinguish between different components of the X-ray spectrum observed during the eclipse. In the archival data, we searched for flares during eclipses of high-mass X-ray binaries and found flares in three sources: Vela X-1, LMC X-4, and 4U 1700-37. Comparing spectral properties of the eclipse flare and non-flare data, we found changes in the power-law photon index in all three sources and multiple emission lines in Vela X-1 and 4U 1700-37. The fluxes of prominent emission lines showed a similar increase as the overall X-ray flux during the eclipse flare, suggesting the lines originate in the binary environment and not in the interstellar medium. We also observed a soft excess in 4U 1700-37 that remains unchanged during both eclipse flare and non-flare states. Our analysis suggests that this emission originates from the extremely thin shell of the stellar wind surrounding the photosphere of its companion star. The detection of short (100-200 seconds) count-rate doubling timescale in 4U 1700-37 and LMC X-4 indicates that the eclipse reprocessing occurs in a region larger than, but comparable to the size of the companion star.

Dynamical formation of doublons or onsite repulsively bound pairs of particles on a lattice is a highly non-trivial phenomenon. In this work we show the signatures of doublon formation in a quantum computing experiment by simulating the continuous time quantum walk in the framework of the one dimensional extended Fermi-Hubbard model. By considering two up-component and one down-component particles initially created at the three neighbouring sites at the middle of the lattice and allowing intra- (inter-) component nearest neighbour (onsite) interactions we show the formation a stable onsite doublon in the quantum walk. The probability of such doublon formation is more (less) if the hopping strength of the down particle is weaker (stronger) compared to the up particle. On the contrary, for an initial doublon along with a free up particle, the stability of the doublon is more prominent than the doublon dissociation in the dynamics irrespective of the hopping asymmetry between the two components. We first numerically obtain the signatures of the stable doublon formation in the dynamics and then observe them using Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices.

With the advent of Information technology, the Bioinformatics research field is becoming increasingly attractive to researchers and academicians. The recent development of various Bioinformatics toolkits has facilitated the rapid processing and analysis of vast quantities of biological data for human perception. Most studies focus on locating two connected diseases and making some observations to construct diverse gene regulatory interaction networks, a forerunner to general drug design for curing illness. For instance, Hypopharyngeal cancer is a disease that is associated with EGFR-mutated lung adenocarcinoma. In this study, we select EGFR-mutated lung adenocarcinoma and Hypopharyngeal cancer by finding the Lung metastases in hypopharyngeal cancer. To conduct this study, we collect Mircorarray datasets from GEO (Gene Expression Omnibus), an online database controlled by NCBI. Differentially expressed genes, common genes, and hub genes between the selected two diseases are detected for the succeeding move. Our research findings have suggested common therapeutic molecules for the selected diseases based on 10 hub genes with the highest interactions according to the degree topology method and the maximum clique centrality (MCC). Our suggested therapeutic molecules will be fruitful for patients with those two diseases simultaneously.

IGR J0607.4+2205 is a transient Be X-ray binary discovered two decades ago. IGR J0607.4+2205 underwent an outburst in 2023 during which it was observed twice with \textit{NuSTAR}. The main goal of this work is to model the broadband X-ray spectrum of IGR J0607.4+2205 during the outburst and to study the variations of the spectral and timing features at different intensities. We extracted the light curve and spectrum of the source from the two \textit{NuSTAR} observations carried out during the recent outburst in the energy range of 3$-$78 keV. We used the epoch folding technique to find pulsation from the source and to study the changes in emission characteristics from the source with energy across an order of magnitude variation in source luminosity. IGR J0607.4+2205 shows pulsations with a period of $\sim$347.6 s during both the observations, with a pulse fraction of $\geq$50\%. The broadband spectrum of the source was modelled using a power-law continuum with a high-energy cutoff. During the first observation, a cyclotron absorption line at $\sim$51 keV was also present in the source with an optical depth of $\sim$1.3. However, no cyclotron line feature was detected in the second observation when the source was an order of magnitude fainter. Additionally, soft excess was detected in the second observation, which was modelled with a black body component emerging from close to the neutron star (NS). We report the first ever detection of a cyclotron line in the broadband spectrum of IGR J0607.4+2205 centred at 51$\pm$1 keV. The magnetic field strength of the NS is estimated to be $\sim$4$\times$$10^{12}$ G from the centroid energy of the absorption line. A significant change is observed in the pulse profile with luminosity during the decay of the outburst, indicating an associated change in the beaming pattern.

We report the X-ray characteristics of the persistent X-ray pulsar 4U 1626-67 using simultaneous NuSTAR and NICER observations. The X-ray pulsar 4U 1626-67 has just encountered a torque reversal in 2023 and is presently in the spin-down state. We have examined the temporal and spectral characteristics of the source during its ongoing spin-down episode. The pulse profiles of the source are characterized by multiple substructures at lower energies and a wide asymmetric single-peaked structure at higher energies. The pulse fraction follows an overall increasing trend with energy. We confirm the existence of mHz quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) exclusively during the current spin-down phase in all the observations. The source is spinning down at 0.00045(4)\; s\; $yr^{-1}$. The broadband spectrum during this phase is described by empirical NPEX model and a soft blackbody component with kT $\sim$ 0.25 keV. In addition to the iron emission line, we also confirm the presence of cyclotron line at $\sim$ 36 keV. The source flux continues to decrease during the current spin-down phase, and the corresponding luminosity $\sim$ (3.3-4.9)\;$\times 10^{36}\; ergs\; s^{-1}$ lies in the intermediate range of accreting X-ray pulsars that may be associated with a hybrid accretion geometry. The magnetic field strengths estimated using the cyclotron line measurements and QPO frequency are consistent. The evolution of the spectral parameters relative to the pulsed phase is examined using phase-resolved spectroscopy.

We investigate the evolution of a flat Emergent Universe obtained with a non-linear equation of state (nEoS) in Einstein's general theory of Relativity. The nEoS is equivalent to three different types of barotropic cosmic fluids, which are found from the nEoS parameter. The EU began expanding initially with no interaction among the cosmic fluids. Assuming an interaction that sets in at a time $t \geq t_i$ in the fluid components, we study the evolution of the EU that leads to the present observed universe. We adopt a dynamical system analysis method to obtain the critical points of the autonomous system for studying the evolution of an EU with or without interaction in fluid components. We also study the stability of critical points and draw the phase portraits. The density parameters and the corresponding cosmological parameters are obtained for both the non-interacting and interacting phases of the evolution dynamics.

We advance a covariant construction for the holographic odd entanglement entropy (OEE) of time dependent bipartite states in CFT$_2$s dual to bulk AdS$_3$ geometries. In this context we obtain the OEE for bipartite states in zero, finite temperature and finite size CFT$_2$s dual to bulk pure AdS$_3$ and BTZ black hole geometries through appropriate replica techniques. The replica technique results for the time dependent OEE are reproduced modulo constants in the large central charge limit through holographic computations involving the bulk entanglement wedge cross section (EWCS). Subsequently we obtain the time dependent OEE for bipartite states in zero and finite temperature CFT$_2$s with a conserved charge dual to bulk extremal and non-extremal rotating BTZ black holes through both field theory and covariant holographic computations which again match up to constants in the large central charge limit.

The presence of this line, its dependence on the pulse phase, and its variation with luminosity have been of some debate since. In this work, we present the reanalysis of two $\textit{AstroSat}$ observations: one made during the rising phase of the 2018 outburst and the other during the declining phase of the 2021 outburst. We also present a new analysis of the $\textit{Insight}$-HXMT observations of the source at the peak of the 2018 outburst. We find the source to be spinning up over the course of the outburst and spinning down between the two outbursts. We report the presence of a higher cyclotron line energy using the 2018 $\textit{AstroSat}$ observation ($\sim 45$ keV) and 2018 $\textit{Insight}$-HXMT observation ($\sim$ 50 keV) and a line at $\sim$ 40 keV during the declining phase of the 2021 outburst using data from $\textit{AstroSat}$. We also investigate the pulse phase dependence of the cyclotron line parameters and find that the line is significantly detected in all the phases of both $\textit{AstroSat}$ observations, along with showing variation with the pulse phase. This differs from the previous results reported using $\textit{BeppoSAX}$ and $\textit{NuSTAR}$. We explain this behaviour of the cyclotron line to be due to photon spawning and different accretion column radii at the two poles of this neutron star.

A thorough comprehension of textual data is a fundamental element in multi-modal video analysis tasks. However, recent works have shown that the current models do not achieve a comprehensive understanding of the textual data during the training for the target downstream tasks. Orthogonal to the previous approaches to this limitation, we postulate that understanding the significance of the sentence components according to the target task can potentially enhance the performance of the models. Hence, we utilize the knowledge of a pre-trained large language model (LLM) to generate text samples from the original ones, targeting specific sentence components. We propose a weakly supervised importance estimation module to compute the relative importance of the components and utilize them to improve different video-language tasks. Through rigorous quantitative analysis, our proposed method exhibits significant improvement across several video-language tasks. In particular, our approach notably enhances video-text retrieval by a relative improvement of 8.3\% in video-to-text and 1.4\% in text-to-video retrieval over the baselines, in terms of R@1. Additionally, in video moment retrieval, average mAP shows a relative improvement ranging from 2.0\% to 13.7 \% across different baselines.

We study the quantum walk of two bosons possessing onsite repulsive interaction on a two-leg ladder and show that the presence of uniform flux piercing through the plaquettes of the ladder favors the localization of the bound states in the dynamics. We find that when the two bosons are symmetrically initialized on the edge rung of the ladder, they tend to edge-localize in their quantum walk - a phenomenon which is not possible in the absence of flux. On the other hand, when the bosons are initialized on the bulk rung they never localize and exhibit linear spreading in their quantum walk. Interestingly, however, we find that in the later case a finite flux favours localization of the bulk bound states in the presence of sufficiently weak quasiperiodic disorder which is otherwise insufficient to localize the particles in the absence of flux. In both the cases, we obtain that the localization in the dynamics strongly depends on the combined effect of the flux and interaction strengths, as a result which we obtain a signature of re-entrant delocalization as a function of flux (interaction) for fixed interaction (flux) strengths.

We present the results from an analysis of data from an \textit{XMM-Newton} observation of the accreting high mass X-ray binary pulsar GX 301$-$2. Spectral analysis in the non-flaring segment of the observation revealed that the equivalent width of the iron fluorescence emission is correlated with the observed absorption column density and the ratio of the iron K$β$ and K$α$ line strength varied with the flux of the source. Coherent pulsations were detected with the spin period of the pulsar of 687.9$\pm$0.1 s, and a secondary pulsation was also detected with a period of 671.8$\pm$0.2 s, most prominent in the energy band of the iron line. At the spin period of the neutron star, the pulsation of the iron line has a low amplitude and the profile is different from the continuum. Pulse phase-resolved spectroscopy also revealed pulsations of the iron emission line during the non-flaring segment of the light curve. At the secondary period, both the iron line and the continuum have nearly identical pulse fraction and pulse profile. The additional periodicity can be attributed to the beat frequency between the spin of the neutron star and the Keplerian frequency of a stellar wind clump in retrograde motion around the neutron star. Reprocessed X-ray emissions originating from the clump can produce the observed secondary pulsations both in the continuum and the iron fluorescence line. The clump rotating around the neutron star is estimated to be approximately five lt-s away from the neutron star.

Here we have developed a tight upper bound for genuine four party Svetlichny type nonlocality. The constraints on the quantum states for the tightness of the bound are also presented. The method enables us to provide necessary and sufficient conditions for violating the four qubit Svetlichny type inequality for several quantum states. The relations between the genuine multipartite entanglement and the maximal quantum value of the Seevinck and Svetlichny operators for pure four qubit states are also discussed. Consequently, we have exhibited genuine four qubit hidden nonlocality under local filtering. Our result provides an effective and operational method for further study of multipartite quantum nonlocality.

Using data taken with the Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) and Large Area X-ray Proportional Counter (LAXPC), we have detected 0.9$-$10 keV coherent pulsations at a period of $\sim$10.4 s. The pulse profiles were single-peaked, asymmetric and consisted of minor peaks attributable to hotspots on the neutron star surface. The pulsed fraction evolved significantly with energy, increasing to energies around 5 keV with a steep drop thereafter. The 0.9--25 keV SXT--LAXPC energy spectrum is best described with two thermal components having temperatures $\sim$0.46 and $\sim$1.1 keV (emission radii of $\sim$2.4 and $\sim$0.65 km, respectively, assuming a distance of 4 kpc) along with a power-law component having a photon index of $\sim$0.39. The most important observation is the positive correlation of the centroid energy of the fundamental cyclotron line with the luminosity. This observation agrees with the usual positive correlation of the centroid energy cyclotron line with luminosity in the sub-critical regime. The correlation between the two quantities is verified using two different continuum models. The photon index decreases with an increase in flux. Thus, the spectrum is softer when the flux is low, which may be due to a decrease in the optical depth of the accretion column with a decrease in the flux.

We report the orbital decay rate of the high mass X-ray binary GX 301$-$2 from an analysis of its long-term X-ray light curves and pulsed flux histories from CGRO/BATSE, RXTE/ASM, Swift/BAT, Fermi/GBM and MAXI by timing the pre-periastron flares over a span of almost 30 years. The time of arrival of the pre-periastron flares exhibits an energy dependence (hard lag) and the orbital period decay was estimated after correcting for it. This method of orbital decay estimation is unaffected by the fluctuations in the spin rate of the X-ray pulsar associated with variations in the mass accretion rate. The resulting $\dot P_\textrm{orb}$ $=-(1.98\pm0.28)\times10^{-6}$ s s$^{-1}$ indicates a rapid evolution timescale of $|P_\textrm{orb}/\dot P_\textrm{orb}|\sim 0.6\times10^{5}$ yr, making it the high mass X-ray binary with the fastest orbital decay. Our estimate of $\dot P_\mathrm{orb}$ is off by a factor of $\sim2$ from the previously reported value of $-(3.7\pm0.5)\times10^{-6}$ s s$^{-1}$ estimated from pulsar TOA analysis. We discuss various possible mechanisms that could drive this rapid orbital decay and also suggest that GX 301$-$2 is a prospective Thorne-Żytkow candidate.

It is evident that at time $\sim$ 58620 MJD, a torque reversal occurred, thereafter the source exhibited a spin-up trend at the rate - (0.305 $\pm$ 0.018) s $\text{yr}^{-1}$ until 59275 MJD. We analyzed the overall trend of the temporal evolution of fundamental Cyclotron Resonance Scattering Feature (CRSF), $\text{E}_\text{cyc}$, incorporating recent NuSTAR measurements. Initially, during the time span $\sim$ (50452.16-55270.8) MJD, the cyclotron line energy is found to increase at a rate of 0.11 $\pm$ 0.03 keV $\text{yr}^{-1}$ which is further followed by a decrease at a rate - 0.14 $\pm$ 0.01 keV $\text{yr}^{-1}$ between (55270.8-59267) MJD. The combined measurements in the time span (50452.16-59267) MJD reveal that the cyclotron line energy is increasing linearly at a rate of 0.08 $\pm$ 0.02 keV $\text{yr}^{-1}$.

Coherent pulsation with a period of 322.738$\;\pm\;0.018$ s was found in the light curve, implying, the source pulsation has spun down by 0.341 s $yr^{-1}$ when compared with the coherent pulsation estimated from XMM Newton more than 7 years ago.
The pulse profile of the source demonstrates energy dependence and has evolved with time. The pulse fraction of the source observed by NuSTAR initially decreases with energy upto $\sim$15 keV, followed by a non-monotonic increasing trend above 15 keV. The source spectrum can be well approximated by an absorbed power-law model with modification by an exponential cutoff at high energies. The absorbed flux of the source is $4\times10^{-11}\;erg\;cm^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ and its corresponding luminosity is $3.5\times10^{35}\;erg\;s^{-1}$. The study of pulse-phase resolved spectroscopy shows a strong variation of spectral parameters on the phase. No additional emission or absorption features in the form of Fe line or Cyclotron lines were observed both in the phase-averaged and phase-resolved spectra of IGR J21347+4737.

We present X-ray observations of the recent outburst of 2022 from the neutron star low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) source 1A 1744-361. Spectral properties of the source have been analyzed using joint NuSTAR and NICER observations. During our observations, the source happens to be in the banana state (soft state) of the hardness intensity diagram (HID). In addition to a power-law with a high energy cutoff, the spectrum is found to exhibit broad iron $K_α$ emission along with distinct absorption features. A prominent absorption feature observed at 6.92 keV may be interpreted as $K_α$ absorption line from hydrogen-like iron. The absorption feature observed at 7.98 keV may be interpreted as a blend of Fe XXV and Ni XXVII transitions. We have summarized the evidence of variability of the spectral features observed in the X-ray continuum by time-resolved spectroscopy.

We investigate a flat Emergent Universe (EU) with a nonlinear equation of state which is equivalent to three different compositions of fluids. In the EU, initially, the evolution of the universe began with no interaction, but as time evolves, an interaction sets in among the three fluids leading to the observed universe. The characteristic of an EU is that it is a singularity-free universe that evolves with all the basic features of the early evolution. A given nonlinear equation of state parameter permits a universe with three different fluids. We get a universe with dark energy, cosmic string, and radiation domination to begin with, which at a later epoch transits into a universe with three different fluids with matter domination, dark matter, and dark energy for a given interaction strength among the cosmic fluids. Later the model parameters are constrained using the observed Hubble data and Type Ia Supernova (SnIa) data from the Pantheon data set. The classical stability analysis of the model is performed using the square speed of sound. It is found that a theoretically stable cosmological model can be obtained in this case, however, the model becomes classically unstable at the present epoch when the observational bounds on the model parameters are taken into account.

With the huge technological advances introduced by deep learning in audio & speech processing, many novel synthetic speech techniques achieved incredible realistic results. As these methods generate realistic fake human voices, they can be used in malicious acts such as people imitation, fake news, spreading, spoofing, media manipulations, etc. Hence, the ability to detect synthetic or natural speech has become an urgent necessity. Moreover, being able to tell which algorithm has been used to generate a synthetic speech track can be of preeminent importance to track down the culprit. In this paper, a novel strategy is proposed to attribute a synthetic speech track to the generator that is used to synthesize it. The proposed detector transforms the audio into log-mel spectrogram, extracts features using CNN, and classifies it between five known and unknown algorithms, utilizing semi-supervision and ensemble to improve its robustness and generalizability significantly. The proposed detector is validated on two evaluation datasets consisting of a total of 18,000 weakly perturbed (Eval 1) & 10,000 strongly perturbed (Eval 2) synthetic speeches. The proposed method outperforms other top teams in accuracy by 12-13% on Eval 2 and 1-2% on Eval 1, in the IEEE SP Cup challenge at ICASSP 2022.

Some of the accreting X-ray pulsars are reported to exhibit a peculiar spectral feature at $\sim$10 keV, known as the "10 keV feature". The feature has been characterized as either an emission line or an absorption line, and its origin is unknown. It has been found in multiple observations of the same source by different observatories, but not all the observations of any particular source consistently showed the presence of it. In this work, we have carried out a systematic investigation for the presence of the "10 keV feature" using data from NuSTAR, a low background spectroscopic observatory having uninterrupted wide band coverage on either side of 10 keV. We performed a systematic spectral analysis on 58 archival NuSTAR observations of 30 bright X-ray pulsars. The 3$-$79 keV spectral continua of these selected sources were fitted with a model chosen on the basis of its fitting quality in 3$-$15 keV and model simplicity, and then inspected for the presence of the "10 keV feature". Our analysis indicates the presence of such a feature in 16 out of 58 the NuSTAR observations of 11 different sources and is fitted with a Gaussian absorption model centered around 10 keV. Our analysis also suggests that such a feature could be wrongly detected if flare data is not analyzed separately from persistent emission.

Eclipsing X-ray binaries make an ideal condition to study reprocessed X-rays, as the X-rays detected during eclipse are purely reprocessed while the much brighter primary X-rays are blocked by the companion star. We carried out a comprehensive study of X-ray reprocessing with four eclipsing Low Mass X-ray Binary (LMXB) systems by comparing X-ray spectra during and outside eclipse with \textit{XMM-Newton} EPIC pn observations. The 17 observations of MXB 1659$-$298, AX J1745.6$-$2901, EXO 0748$-$676 and XTE J1710$-$281 give unique features of the systems. For example, X-ray reprocessing characteristics in AX J1745.6$-$2901 is found to be nearly same irrespective of the intensity state; there is an indication of different types of variable warp structures in the inner accretion disk in EXO 0748$-$676, a high out-of-eclipse to eclipse flux ratio in XTE J1710$-$281 inspite of a large size of the accretion disk perhaps indicates low scale height of the accretion disk. The eclipse spectra for some of the LMXB sources are reported for the first time. We have derived the fractional visible area of the accretion disk during maximum eclipse phase for various obscuration geometries. The out-of-eclipse to eclipse flux ratio in LMXBs observed to be smaller compared to that found in High Mass X-ray Binaries. This indicates greater reprocessing in LMXBs despite having less dense, less extended stellar wind from the companion. The X-ray reprocessing efficiencies observed in LMXBs indicate large dependencies of X-ray reprocessing on the scale height of the accretion disk, relative size of the disk compared to the companion and some other unknown factors.

From NuSTAR observation of May 2023, we have investigated the timing and spectral properties of this pulsar during its 2SD phase, while also comparing them with previous spin-up-down states. For energies upto 8 keV, a distinct bi-horned pulse profile was observed during the spin-up phase, while several sub-structures emerged during spin-down. Beyond 8 keV, a broad asymmetric peak was consistently observed across all torque states. The pulse fraction during the 2SD phase was higher than that during 2SU phase. A prominent ~46.8 mHz quasi-periodic oscillation has been exclusively detected during the spin-down phase. The broadband spectrum during the 2SD phase is described by empirical NPEX model, cyclotron absorption feature and its first harmonic. The spectrum during 2SU phase requires an additional blackbody component and asymmetry in the cyclotron absorption line. A significant flux drop by a factor of ~3 in the 2SD was observed.

The process two neutrino double beta decay ($2νββ)$ is allowed by the Standard Model and has been measured in numerous experiments. In this letter, we report a measurement of $2νββ$ decay half-life of $^{100}$Mo to the ground state of $^{100}$Ru of $(7.07~\pm~0.02~\text{(stat.)}~\pm~0.11~\text{(syst.)})~\times~10^{18}$~yr by the CUPID-Mo experiment. With a relative precision of $\pm~1.6$ \% this is the most precise measurement to date of a $2νββ$ decay rate in $^{100}$Mo. In addition, we constrain higher-order corrections to the spectral shape which provides complementary nuclear structure information. We report a novel measurement of the shape factor $ξ_{3,1}=0.45~\pm 0.03~\text{(stat.)} \ \pm 0.05 \ \text{(syst.)}$, which is compared to theoretical predictions for different nuclear models. We also extract the first value for the effective axial vector coupling constant obtained from a spectral shape study of $2νββ$ decay.

The starting point for much of multivariate analysis (MVA) is an $n\times p$ data matrix whose $n$ rows represent observations and whose $p$ columns represent variables. Some multivariate data sets, however, may be best conceptualized not as $n$ discrete $p$-variate observations, but as $p$ curves or functions defined on a common time interval. Here we introduce a framework for extending techniques of multivariate analysis to such settings. The proposed continuous-time multivariate analysis (CTMVA) framework rests on the assumption that the curves can be represented as linear combinations of basis functions such as $B$-splines, as in the Ramsay-Silverman representation of functional data; but whereas functional data analysis extends MVA to the case of observations that are curves rather than vectors -- heuristically, $n\times p$ data with $p$ infinite -- we are instead concerned with what happens when $n$ is infinite. We present continuous-time extensions of the classical MVA methods of covariance and correlation estimation, principal component analysis, Fisher's linear discriminant analysis, and $k$-means clustering. We show that CTMVA can improve on the performance of classical MVA, in particular for correlation estimation and clustering, and can be applied in some settings where classical MVA cannot, including variables observed at disparate time points. CTMVA is illustrated with a novel perspective on a well-known Canadian weather data set, and with applications to data sets involving international development, brain signals, and air quality. The proposed methods are implemented in the publicly available R package \texttt{ctmva}.

We construct a replica technique to perturbatively compute the odd entanglement entropy (OEE) for bipartite mixed states in $\text{T}\bar{\text{T}}$ deformed CFT$_2$s. This framework is then utilized to obtain the leading order correction to the OEE for two disjoint intervals, two adjacent intervals, and a single interval in $\text{T}\bar{\text{T}}$ deformed thermal CFT$_2$s in the large central charge limit. The field theory results are subsequently reproduced in the high temperature limit from holographic computations for the entanglement wedge cross sections in the dual bulk finite cut-off BTZ geometries. We further show that for finite size $\text{T}\bar{\text{T}}$ deformed CFT$_2$s at zero temperature the corrections to the OEE are vanishing to the leading order from both field theory and bulk holographic computations.

In this paper, we attempt to explore the possibility of a obtaining a viable emergent universe scenario supported by a type of fluid known as the extended Chaplygin gas, which extends a modification to the equation of state of the well known modified Chaplygin gas by considering additional higher order barotropic fluid terms. We consider quadratic modification only. Such a fluid is capable of explaining the present cosmic acceleration and is a possible dark energy candidate. We construct a theoretical model of the emergent universe assuming it is constituted from such a fluid. It interestingly turns out that the theoretical constraints we obtain on the extended Chaplygin gas parameters from our emergent universe model are well in agreement with the observational constraint on these parameters from BICEP2 data. Our model is found to replicate the late time behaviour really well and reproduces $Λ$-CDM like behaviour, as evident from the analysis of the statefinder parameters. Moreover, the Hubble parameter analysis shows that for theoretically constrained values of the ECG parameters, the Hubble tension can be resolved yielding higher values of the present Hubble parameter $H_0$ in all possible cases. Also, the value of $H(z)$ at a redshift $z=2.34$ fits better than $Λ-CDM$ with recent observations in some cases. This leads us to the realization that such a fluid is not only a probable candidate for dark energy, but also sources an emergent universe unlike modified Chaplygin gas and the initial singularity problem can be resolved in a flat universe within the standard relativistic context.

We study the recently discovered Be/X-ray pulsar MAXI J0655--013 using the 2022 \emph{NuSTAR} observations. The paper is the first detailed study of the timing and spectral properties of the source. The pulse profiles of the pulsar vary with energy. The pulsed fraction is found to increase monotonically with energy. In between the two \emph{NuSTAR} observations, a large spin-up rate of $\sim$ -1.23 s d$^{-1}$ is observed, which can be due to large spin-up torque acting on the pulsar during an outburst. Such a large spin-up rate is observed for the first time in an X-ray pulsar during an outburst. The variation of the spin period with time can be employed to obtain the orbital parameters of the binary system, and we found the orbital period to be $\sim$ 27.9 d. The second \emph{NuSTAR} observation is done in a low luminosity state ($L_{X} \sim$3.9$\times$10$^{34}$ \unilum). We have detected the pulsation of the pulsar in such a low luminosity state. In such a low luminosity state, the pulsar MAXI J0655--013 might be accreting from the cold disk.

We study the quench dynamics of interacting bosons on a two-leg flux ladder by implementing the continuous-time quantum walk and explore the combined effect of the magnetic field and onsite interaction in the presence of uniform flux. We show that in the regime of weak interaction, the magnetic field substantially slows down the spreading of the particles' wavefunction during the dynamics. However, in the presence of strong interaction, we obtain an interesting re-entrant behaviour in the dynamics where the radial velocity associated to the spreading first increases, then decreases, and increases again as a function of the flux strength. We also find a re-entrant dynamics in the chiral motion of the particles as a function of interaction for fixed flux strengths.

A non-singular Emergent Universe (EU) scenario within the realm of standard Relativistic physics requires a generalization of the Equation of State (EoS) connecting the pressure and energy density. This generalized EoS is capable of describing a composition of exotic matter, dark energy and cosmological dust matter. Since the EU scenario is known to violate the Null Energy Condition, we investigate the possibility of presence of static, spherically symmetric and traversable Lorentzian wormholes in an EU. The obtained shape function is found to satisfy the criteria for wormhole formation, besides the violation of the NEC at the wormhole throat and ensuring traversability such that tidal forces are within desirable limits. Also, the wormhole is found to be stable through linear stability analysis. Most ${importantly}$, the numerical value of the emergent universe parameter $B$ as estimated by our wormhole model is in agreement with and lies within the range of values as constrained by observational data in a cosmological context. Also, the negative sign of the second EU parameter $A$ as obtained from our wormhole model is in agreement with the one required for describing an EU, which further indicates on the existence of such wormholes in an emergent universe ${without}$ accounting for any additional exotic matter field or any modification to the gravitational sector.

Melanoma is considered to be the deadliest variant of skin cancer causing around 75\% of total skin cancer deaths. To diagnose Melanoma, clinicians assess and compare multiple skin lesions of the same patient concurrently to gather contextual information regarding the patterns, and abnormality of the skin. So far this concurrent multi-image comparative method has not been explored by existing deep learning-based schemes. In this paper, based on contextual image feature fusion (CIFF), a deep neural network (CIFF-Net) is proposed, which integrates patient-level contextual information into the traditional approaches for improved Melanoma diagnosis by concurrent multi-image comparative method. The proposed multi-kernel self attention (MKSA) module offers better generalization of the extracted features by introducing multi-kernel operations in the self attention mechanisms. To utilize both self attention and contextual feature-wise attention, an attention guided module named contextual feature fusion (CFF) is proposed that integrates extracted features from different contextual images into a single feature vector. Finally, in comparative contextual feature fusion (CCFF) module, primary and contextual features are compared concurrently to generate comparative features. Significant improvement in performance has been achieved on the ISIC-2020 dataset over the traditional approaches that validate the effectiveness of the proposed contextual learning scheme.
