Entangling Schrödinger's cat states by seeding a Bell state or swapping the cats
Abstract: In quantum information processing, two primary research directions have emerged: one based on discrete variables (DV) and the other on the structure of quantum states in a continuous-variable (CV) space. It is increasingly recognized that integrating these two approaches could unlock new potentials, overcoming the inherent limitations of each. Here, we show that such a DV-CV hybrid approach, appli… ▽ More

Properties of minimal charts and their applications X: charts of type $(5,2)$
Abstract: Charts are oriented labeled graphs in a disk. Any simple surface braid (2-dimensional braid) can be described by using a chart. Also, a chart represents an oriented closed surface embedded in 4-space. In this paper, we investigate embedded surfaces in 4-space by using charts. Observation and manipulation of quantum interference in a superconducting Kerr parametric oscillator
Abstract: Quantum tunneling is the phenomenon that makes superconducting circuits "quantum". Recently, there has been a renewed interest in using quantum tunneling in phase space of a Kerr parametric oscillator as a resource for quantum information processing. Here, we report a direct observation of quantum interference induced by such tunneling in a planar superconducting circuit through Wigner tomography.… ▽ More

Distinguishing surface-links with 4-charts with 2 crossings and 8 black vertices
Abstract: Charts are oriented labeled graphs in a disk. Any simple surface braid (2-dimensional braid) can be described by using a chart. Also, a chart represents an oriented closed surface (called a surface-link) embedded in 4-space. In this paper, we investigate surface-links by using charts. In [11], [12], we gave an enumeration of the charts with two crossings. In particular, there are two classes for 4… ▽ More

Interaction between skyrmions and antiskyrmions in a coexisting phase of a Heusler material
Abstract: Coexisting phases of magnetic skyrmions and antiskyrmions have proposed to exhibit a variety of fascinating properties, owing to interactions between them. The recent discovery of the coexisting phase in a Heusler material could offer a platform for skyrmion-antiskyrmion-based spintronics. The structure of a minimal $n$-chart with two crossings I: Complementary domains of $Γ_1\cupΓ_{n-1}$

Minimal charts of type (3,3)
Abstract: Let $Γ$ be a chart. For each label $m$, we denote by $Γ_m$ the "subgraph" of $Γ$ consisting of all the edges of label $m$ and their vertices. Let $Γ$ be a minimal chart of type $(m;3,3)$. That is, a minimal chart $Γ$ has six white vertices, and both of $Γ_m\capΓ_{m+1}$ and $Γ_{m+1}\capΓ_{m+2}$ consist of three white vertices. Then $Γ$ is C-move equivalent to a minimal chart containing a "subchart"… ▽ More

Self-shielding effect of a single phase liquid xenon detector for direct dark matter search
Abstract: Liquid xenon is a suitable material for a dark matter search. For future large scale experiments, single phase detectors are attractive due to their simple configuration and scalability.
