Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifolds and generalized recursion relations
Abstract: We present two involutivity theorems in the context of Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifolds. The second one stems from recursion relations that generalize the so called Lenard-Magri relations on a bi-Hamiltonian manifold. We apply these results to the case of the closed (or periodic) Toda lattice. Then we show how this geometrical setting is related to the bi-Hamiltonian pair of the lattice and to it… ▽ More

Quasi-Lie bialgebroids, Dirac structures and deformations of Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifolds
Abstract: We show how to deform a Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifold by means of a closed 2-form. Then we interpret this procedure in the context of quasi-Lie bialgebroids, as a particular case of the so called twisting of a quasi-Lie bialgebroid. Finally, we frame our result in the setting of Courant algebroids and Dirac structures.

What is the Magnus Expansion?
Abstract: The Magnus expansion, introduced by Wilhelm Magnus in 1954, is an infinite Lie series employed to express solutions for first-order homogeneous linear differential equations involving a linear operator. Since its discovery it has evolved into a pivotal tool used across diverse disciplines, including physics, chemistry, and engineering. Over the past 25 years, the Magnus expansion has undergone sig… ▽ More

A Dubrovin-Frobenius manifold structure of NLS type on the orbit space of $B_n$
Abstract: Generalizing a construction presented in [3], we show that the orbit space of $B_2$ less the image of coordinate lines under the quotient map is equipped with two Dubrovin-Frobenius manifold structures which are related respectively to the defocusing and the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations. Motivated by this example, we study the case of $B_n$ and we show that the defocusing case ca… ▽ More

Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis deformations of the canonical PN structure
Abstract: We present a result which allows us to deform a Poisson-Nijenhuis manifold into a Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifold by means of a closed 2-form. Under an additional assumption, the deformed structure is also Poisson-Nijenhuis. We apply this result to show that the canonical Poisson-Nijenhuis structure on R^2n gives rise to both the Poisson-Nijenhuis structure of the open (or non periodic) n-particl… ▽ More

Crossed morphisms, (integration of) post-Lie algebras and the post-Lie Magnus expansion
Abstract: In the first part of this letter it will be shown that the post-Lie Magnus expansion can be interpreted as a crossed morphism between two (local) Lie group. The second part will be devoted to present two combinatorial methods, both based on special tubings on planar trees, to compute the coefficients of this remarkable formal series.

Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifolds and the Toda system
Abstract: The notion of Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifold generalizes that of Poisson-Nijenhuis manifold. The relevance of the latter in the theory of completely integrable systems is well established since the birth of the bi-Hamiltonian approach to integrability. In this note, we discuss the relevance of the notion of Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis manifold in the context of finite-dimensional integrable systems.… ▽ More

Post-Lie Algebras, Factorization Theorems and Isospectral-Flows
Abstract: In these notes we review and further explore the Lie enveloping algebra of a post-Lie algebra. From a Hopf algebra point of view, one of the central results, which will be recalled in detail, is the existence of a second Hopf algebra structure. By comparing group-like elements in suitable completions of these two Hopf algebras, we derive a particular map which we dub post-Lie Magnus expansion. The… ▽ More

Abstract: In this note we further explore the properties of universal enveloping algebras associated to a post-Lie algebra. Of particular interest is the case of post-Lie algebras defined in terms of solutions of modified classical Yang-Baxter equations.… ▽ More

Bi-Hamiltonian geometry and canonical spectral coordinates for the Rational Calogero-Moser system
Abstract: We reconsider the (rational) Calogero-Moser system from the point of view of bi-Hamiltonian geometry. By using geometrical tools of the latter, we explicitly construct set(s) of spectral canonical coordinates, that is, complete sets of Darboux coordinates defined by the eigenvalues and the eigenvectors of the Lax matrix.
