In the present paper we propose the use of desnity matrix formalism for the calculation of the atomic spectroscopic properties of autoionizing states in dense plasmas, i.e. warm dense matter and strongly coupled plasmas. This is motivated by the importance of taking into account the effect of the electric microfield generated by the plasma charge constituents in the calculation of the atomic populations of autoionizing states. For autoionizing states, electron densities justifying the statistical approach exceed solid density bringing serious doubts to the statistical approach even in dense plasmas. This leads also to the change of the spectral line shapes in the frame of the standard methods. We discuss the importance of the present analysis in view of the radiation emission originating from dense plasmas created by the interaction of the X-ray Free Electron Lasers (XFEL) with solid density matter.

The new statistical approach for calculation of radiation processes with heavy multielectron ions in plasma is developed. The method consists in consideration of atomic structure as a condensed medium, characterized by the spectrum of elementary excitations with plasma frequency, determined by local atomic electron density. For instance, the radiation losses in this model are due to excitation of plasma type oscillations in atom under its collisions with plasma electrons and have a universal statistical representation for all sorts of multielectron ions. The calculations of radiation losses on tungsten ions are performed in the wide range of plasma temperature variation, typical for physics of high temperature plasma with magnetic confinement. It is shown that the universal statistical approach results are within the scattering of current numerical codes data. The proposed statistical method for description of complex atoms collective excitations for calculations of plasma radiation losses is of general physical interest and allows to obtain the necessary data more faster with the lesser computational resources.

The aim of this work is the investigation of the statistical properties of local electric fields in an ion-electron two component plasmas for coupled conditions. The stochastic fields at a charged or at a neutral point in plasmas involve both slow and fast fluctuation characteristics. The statistical study of these local fields based on a direct time average is done for the first time. For warm and dense plasma conditions, typically $N_{e}\approx 10^{18}cm^{-3}$, $% T_{e}\approx 1eV$, well controlled molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of neutral hydrogen, protons and electrons have been carried out. Relying on these \textit{ab initio} MD calculations this work focuses on an analysis of the concepts of statistically independent slow and fast local field components, based on the consideration of a time averaged electric field. Large differences are found between the results of these MD simulations and corresponding standard results based on static screened fields. The effects discussed are of importance for physical phenomena connected with stochastic electric field fluctuations, e.g., for spectral line broadening in dense plasmas.
