On explosion time in stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motion
Abstract: In this article, we study the explosion time of the solution to autonomous stochastic differential equations driven by the fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter $H>1/2$. With the help of the Lamperti transformation, we are able to tackle the case of non-constant diffusion coefficients not covered in the literature. In addition, we provide an adaptive Euler-type numerical scheme for appro… ▽ More

Weyl channels for multipartite systems
Abstract: Quantum channels, a subset of quantum maps, describe the unitary and non-unitary evolution of quantum systems. We study a generalization of the concept of Pauli maps to the case of multipartite high dimensional quantum systems through the use of the Weyl operators. The condition for such maps to be valid quantum channels, i.e. complete positivity, is derived in terms of Fourier transform matrices.… ▽ More

HJB equation for maximization of wealth under insider trading
Abstract: In this paper, we combine the techniques of enlargement of filtrations and stochastic control theory to establish an extension of the verification theorem, where the coefficients of the stochastic controlled equation are adapted to the underlying filtration and the controls are adapted to a bigger filtration $\mathbf{G}$ than the one generated by the corresponding Brownian motion $B$. Euler scheme for SDEs driven by fractional Brownian motions: Malliavin differentiability and uniform upper-bound estimates
Abstract: The Malliavin differentiability of a SDE plays a crucial role in the study of density smoothness and ergodicity among others. For Gaussian driven SDEs the differentiability property is now well established. In this paper, we consider the Malliavin differentiability for the Euler scheme of such SDEs. We will focus on SDEs driven by fractional Brownian motions (fBm), which is a very natural class… ▽ More

Pauli component erasing quantum channels
Abstract: Decoherence of quantum systems is described by quantum channels. However, a complete understanding of such channels, especially in the multi-particle setting, is still an ongoing difficult task. We propose the family of quantum maps that preserve or completely erase the components of a multi-qubit system in the basis of Pauli strings, which we call Pauli component erasing maps. For the correspondi… ▽ More

Numerical scheme for stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motion with 1/4 < H < 1/2
Abstract: In this article, we study a numerical scheme for stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H in (1/4; 1/2). Towards this end, we apply Doss-Sussmann representation of the solution and an approximation of this representation using a first order Taylor expansion. The obtained rate of convergence is n^(2H+rho), for rho small enough.

Fractional stochastic differential equation with discontinuous diffusion
Abstract: In this paper we study a stochastic differential equation driven by a fractional Brownian motion with a discontinuous coefficient. We also give an approximation to the solution of the equation. This is a first step to define a fractional version of the skew Brownian motion.

Young Differential Equations with Power Type Nonlinearities
Abstract: In this note we give several methods to construct nontrivial solutions to the equation $dy_{t}=σ(y_{t}) \, dx_{t}$, where $x$ is a $γ$-Hölder $R^{d}$-valued signal with $γ\in(1/2,1)$ and $σ$ is a function behaving like a power function $|ξ|^κ$, with $κ\in(0,1)$. In this situation, classical Young integration techniques allow to get existence and uniqueness results whenever $γ(κ+1)>1$, while we foc… ▽ More

Stability for a class of semilinear fractional stochastic integral equations
Abstract: In this paper we study some stability criteria for some semilinear integral equations with a function as initial condition and with additive noise, which is a Young integral that could be a functional of fractional Brownian motion. Namely, we consider stability in the mean, asymptotic stability, stability, global stability and Mittag-Leffler stability. To do so, we use comparison results for fract… ▽ More

On Uniqueness for some non-Lipschitz SDE
Abstract: We study the uniqueness in the path-by-path sense (i.e. $ω$-by-$ω$) of solutions to stochastic differential equations with additive noise and non-Lipschitz autonomous drift. The notion of path-by-path solution involves considering a collection of ordinary differential equations and is, in principle, weaker than that of a strong solution, since no adaptability condition is required. We use results… ▽ More

An Osgood's criterion for a semilinear stochastic differential equation
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to give an Osgood's criterion for solutions of semilinear stochastic differential equations of the form $X_{t}=ξ+\int_{0}^{t}b(s,X_{s})ds+\int_{0}^{t}σ(s)X_{s}dW_{s},\ t\geq 0$. Here, $b$ is a non-negative, non-decreasing by components and continuous random field and $σ$ is a predictable and continuous process. Local Malliavin Calculus for Lévy Processes and Applications
Abstract: In this paper a Malliavin calculus for Lévy processes based on a family of true derivative operators is developed. The starting point is an extension to Lévy processes of the pioneering paper by Carlen and Pardoux [8] for the Poisson process, and our approach includes also the classical Malliavin derivative for Gaussian processes. Anticipating Linear Stochastic Differential Equations Driven by a Lévy Process
Abstract: In this paper we study the existence of a unique solution for linear stochastic differential equations driven by a Lévy process, where the initial condition and the coefficients are random and not necessarily adapted to the underlying filtration. Towards this end, we extend the method based on Girsanov transformation on Wiener space and developped by Buckdahn to the canonical Lévy space.

A strong uniform approximation of sub-fractional Brownian motion
Abstract: Sub-fractional Brownian motion is a process analogous to fractional Brownian motion but without stationary increments. In \cite{GGL1} we proved a strong uniform approximation with a rate of convergence for fractional Brownian motion by means of transport processes. In this paper we prove a similar type of approximation for sub-fractional Brownian motion.

Characterizing top gated bilayer graphene interaction with its environment by Raman spectroscopy
Abstract: In this work we study the behavior of the optical phonon modes in bilayer graphene devices by applying top gate voltage, using Raman scattering. We observe the splitting of the Raman G band as we tune the Fermi level of the sample, which is explained in terms of mixing of the Raman (Eg) and infrared (Eu) phonon modes, due to different doping in the two layers. An anticipating Itô formula for Lévy processes
Abstract: In this paper, we use the Malliavin calculus techniques to obtain an anticipative version of the change of variable formula for Lévy processes. Here the coefficients are in the domain of the anihilation (gradient) operator in the "future sense", which includes the family of all adapted and square-integrable processes. This domain was introduced on the Wiener space by Alòs and Nualart.

The Local Time of the Classical Risk Process
Abstract: In this paper we give an explicit expression for the local time of the classical risk process and associate it with the density of an occupational measure. To do so, we approximate the local time by a suitable sequence of absolutely continuous random fields. Also, as an application, we analyze the mean of the times $s \in [0,T]$ such that $0\leq X_{s} \leq X_{s+ε} $ for some given $ε>0$.
