Ricci-Bourguignon solitons on sequential warped products
Authors:

Abstract:
We study Ricci-Bourguignon solitons on sequential warped products. The necessary conditions are obtained for a Ricci-Bourguignon soliton with the structure of a sequential warped product to be an Einstein manifold when we consider the potential field as a Killing or a conformal vector field.

Authors:

Abstract:
In this work we study Lie symmetry analysis of initial and boundary value problems for partial differential equations (PDE) with Caputo fractional derivative. We give generalized definition and theorem for the symmetry method for PDE with Caputo fractional derivative, according to Bluman's definition and theorem for the symmetry analysis of PDE system. We investigate the symmetry analysis of initi…

We give generalized definition and theorem for the symmetry method for PDE with Caputo fractional derivative, according to Bluman's definition and theorem for the symmetry analysis of PDE system. We investigate the symmetry analysis of initial and boundary value problem for fractional diffusion and the third order fractional partial differential equation (FPDE). Also we give some solutions.

Abstract:
The use of bremsstrahlung photons produced by a linac to induce photonuclear reactions is wide spread. However, using a clinical linac to produce the photons is a new concept. We aimed to induce photonuclear reactions on zinc isotopes and measure the subsequent transition energies and half-lives. For this purpose, a bremsstrahlung photon beam of 18 MeV endpoint energy produced by the Philips SLI-2…

The use of bremsstrahlung photons produced by a linac to induce photonuclear reactions is wide spread. However, using a clinical linac to produce the photons is a new concept. We aimed to induce photonuclear reactions on zinc isotopes and measure the subsequent transition energies and half-lives. For this purpose, a bremsstrahlung photon beam of 18 MeV endpoint energy produced by the Philips SLI-25 linac has been used. The subsequent decay has been measured with a well-shielded single HPGe detector. The results obtained for transition energies are in good agreement with the literature data and in many cases surpass these in accuracy. For the half-lives, we are in agreement with the literature data, but do not achieve their precision. The obtained accuracy for the transition energies show what is achievable in an experiment such as ours. We demonstrate the usefulness and benefits of employing clinical linacs for nuclear physics experiments.

Periodic Pattern Formation in Evaporating Drops
Authors:

Abstract:
Solute deposits from evaporating drops with pinned contact line are usually concentrated near the contact line. The stain, or pattern, left on the substrate then consists of a single ring, commonly known as a coffee ring. Here we report on a variation of this phenomenon when periodic patterns emerge. We attribute these to phase transitions in certain solutes as solute concentration increases. Ex…

Examples may include dissolved to crystalline transition in salt or order-disorder transition in liquid crystals. Activated nature of the phase transitions, along with the newly imposed boundaries between phases, may then invert solute density profile and lead to periodic deposits. Hereby we develop a general theoretical model and report on experimental observations on salt in water.
