In 2005, Balmer defined the ringed space $\operatorname{Spec}_\otimes \mathcal{T}$ for a given tensor triangulated category, while in 2023, the second author introduced the ringed space $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \mathcal{T}$ for a given triangulated category. In the algebro-geometric context, these spectra provided several reconstruction theorems using derived categories. In this paper, we prove that $\operatorname{Spec}_{\otimes_X^\mathbb{L}} \operatorname{Perf} X$ is an open ringed subspace of $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \operatorname{Perf} X$ for a quasi-projective variety $X$. As an application, we provide a new proof of the Bondal-Orlov and Ballard reconstruction theorems in terms of these spectra.
Recently, the first author introduced the Fourier-Mukai locus $\operatorname{Spec}^\mathsf{FM} \operatorname{Perf} X$ for a smooth projective variety $X$, which is constructed by gluing Fourier-Mukai partners of $X$ inside $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \operatorname{Perf} X$. As another application of our main theorem, we demonstrate that $\operatorname{Spec}^\mathsf{FM} \operatorname{Perf} X$ can be viewed as an open ringed subspace of $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \operatorname{Perf} X$. As a result, we show that all the Fourier-Mukai partners of an abelian variety $X$ can be reconstructed by topologically identifying the Fourier-Mukai locus within $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \operatorname{Perf} X$.

We present a new CO observation toward the Type Ia supernova remnant (SNR) 3C 397 using the Nobeyama 45-m radio telescope at an unprecedent angular resolution of $\sim$18''. We newly found that the CO cloud at $V_{\mathrm{LSR}}$ = 55.7-62.2 km s$^{-1}$ (60 km s$^{-1}$ cloud) shows a good spatial correspondence with the radio continuum shell. We also found an expanding gas motion of the 60 km s$^{-1}$ cloud with an expansion velocity of $\sim$3 km s$^{-1}$, which is thought to be formed by the pre-and/or post-supernova feedback. By considering the positions of Galactic spiral arms and the X-ray/HI absorption studies, we concluded that 3C 397 is physically associated with the 60 km s$^{-1}$ cloud rather than the previously known CO cloud at $V_{\mathrm{LSR}}$ $\sim$30 km s$^{-1}$. Given that the previously measured pre-shock density is $\sim$2-5 cm$^{-3}$, the expanding motion of the 60 km s$^{-1}$ cloud was likely formed by the pre-supernova feedback known as optically thick wind. The scenario is consistent with that 3C 397 exploded inside a wind-blown bubble as a single degenerate system.

Abell 3667 is a nearby merging cluster with a prominent cold front and a pair of two bright radio relics. Assuming a head-on merger, the origin of the cold front is often considered to be a remnant of the cluster core stripped by its surrounding ICM. Some authors have proposed an offset merger scenario in which the subcluster core rotates after the first core crossing. This scenario can reproduce features such as the cold front and a pair of radio relics. To distinguish between these scenarios, we reanalyzed the ICM distribution and measured the line-of-sight bulk ICM velocity using the XMM-Newton PN data. In the unsharp masked image, we identify several ICM features. The notable feature is a RG1 vortex, which is a clockwise vortex-like enhancement with a radius of about 250 kpc connecting the first BCG to the radio galaxy (RG1). It is particularly enhanced near the north of the 1st BCG, which is named the BCG-N tail. The thermodynamic maps show that the ICM of the RG1 vortex has a relatively high abundance of 0.5-0.6 solar compared to the surrounding regions. The ICM of the BCG-E tail also has a high abundance and low pseudo-entropy and can be interpreted as a remnant of the cluster core's ICM. Including its arc-like shape, the RG1 vortex supports the idea that the ICM around the cluster center is rotating, which is natural for an offset merger scenario. The results of the line-of-sight bulk ICM velocity measurements show that the ICM around the BCG-N tail is redshifted with a velocity difference of 940+/-440 km/s compared to the optical redshift of the first BCG. We obtain other indications of variations in the line-of-sight velocity of the ICM and discuss these in the context of an offset merger.

In the absence of the tensor structure, Matsui recently introduced the triangular spectrum $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \mathcal{T}$ of a triangulated category $\mathcal{T}$ and showed that there exists an immersion $X \cong \operatorname{Spec}_{\otimes_{\mathscr{O}_X}^{\mathbb{L}}}\operatorname{Perf} X \subset \operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \operatorname{Perf} X$. In this paper, we construct a scheme $\operatorname{Spec}^{\mathsf{FM}} \mathcal{T} \subset \operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \mathcal{T}$, called the Fourier-Mukai (FM) locus, by gathering all varieties $X$ satisfying $\operatorname{Perf} X \simeq \mathcal{T}$. Those varieties are called FM partners of $\mathcal{T}$ and immersed into $\operatorname{Spec}_\vartriangle \mathcal{T}$ as tensor triangulated spectra. We present a variety of examples illustrating how geometric and birational properties of FM partners are reflected in the way their tensor triangulated spectra are glued in the FM locus. Finally, we compare the FM locus with other loci within the triangular spectrum admitting categorical characterizations, and in particular, make a precise conjecture about the relation of the FM locus with the Serre invariant locus.

The ground and the first excited doublets are separated by 44 K and are simply expressed as $α|\pm 7/2\rangle + β|\mp 5/2\rangle$ with $α$ and $β$ nearly equal to $\pm 1/\sqrt{2}$. The easy axis of the crystal field anisotropy is the $c$ axis when the excited levels are populated at high temperatures and high magnetic fields. On the other hand, the magnetism at low temperatures and low magnetic fields, where only the ground doublet is populated, is described by an easy plane anisotropy which may be treated as an $S=1/2$ system with an anisotropic $g$-factor, $g_{xy}=3.02$ and $g_z=1.14$. An orbital dependent exchange interaction is also discussed to explain the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility based on this level scheme.

We report photometric and spectroscopic observations of the eclipsing SU UMa-type dwarf nova ASASSN-18aan. We observed the 2018 superoutburst with 2.3 mag brightening and found the orbital period ($P_{\rm orb}$) to be 0.149454(3) d, or 3.59 hr. This is longward of the period gap, establishing ASASSN-18aan as one of a small number of long-$P_{\rm orb}$ SU UMa-type dwarf novae. The estimated mass ratio, ($q=M_2/M_1 = 0.278(1)$), is almost identical to the upper limit of tidal instability by the 3:1 resonance. From eclipses, we found that the accretion disk at the onset of the superoutburst may reach the 3:1 resonance radius, suggesting that the superoutburst of ASASSN-18aan results from the tidal instability. Considering the case of long-$P_{\rm orb}$ WZ Sge-type dwarf novae, we suggest that the tidal dissipation at the tidal truncation radius is enough to induce SU UMa-like behavior in relatively high-$q$ systems such as SU UMa-type dwarf novae, but that this is no longer effective in low-$q$ systems such as WZ Sge-type dwarf novae. The unusual nature of the system extends to the secondary star, for which we find a spectral type of G9, much earlier than typical for the orbital period, and a secondary mass $M_2$ of around 0.18 M$_{\odot}$, smaller than expected for the orbital period and the secondary's spectral type. We also see indications of enhanced sodium abundance in the secondary's spectrum. Anomalously hot secondaries are seen in a modest number of other CVs and related objects. These systems evidently underwent significant nuclear evolution before the onset of mass transfer. In the case of ASASSN-18aan, this apparently resulted in a mass ratio lower than typically found at the system's $P_{\rm orb}$, which may account for the occurrence of a superoutburst at this relatively long period.

We report on the multi-wavelength photometry of the 2018 superoutburst in EG Cnc. We have detected stage A superhumps and long-lasting late-stage superhumps via the optical photometry and have constrained the binary mass ratio and its possible range. The median value of the mass ratio is 0.048 and the upper limit is 0.057, which still implies that EG Cnc is one of the possible candidates for the period bouncer. This object also showed multiple rebrightenings in this superoutburst, which are the same as those in its previous superoutburst in 1996--1997 despite the difference in the main superoutburst. This would represent that the rebrightening type is inherent to each object and is independent of the initial disk mass at the beginning of superoutbursts. We also found that $B-I$ and $J-K_{\rm S}$ colors were unusually red just before the rebrightening phase and became bluer during the quiescence between rebrightenings, which would mean that the low-temperature mass reservoir at the outermost disk accreted with time after the main superoutburst. Also, the ultraviolet flux was sensitive to rebrightenings as well as the optical flux, and the $U-B$ color became redder during the rebrightening phase, which would indicate that the inner disk became cooler when this object repeated rebrightenings. Our results thus basically support the idea that the cool mass reservoir in the outermost disk is responsible for rebrightenings.

Coherent Ising machine (CIM) implemented by degenerate optical parametric oscillator (DOPO) networks can solve some combinatorial optimization problems. However, when the network structure has a certain type of symmetry, optimal solutions are not always detected since the search process may be trapped by local minima. In addition, a uniform pump rate for DOPOs in the conventional operation cannot overcome this problem. In this paper proposes a method to avoid trapping of the local minima by applying a control input in a pump rate of an appropriate node. This controller breaks the symmetrical property and causes to change the bifurcation structure temporarily, then it guides transient responses into the global minima. We show several numerical simulation results.

IW And stars are a recently recognized group of dwarf novae which are characterized by a repeated sequence of brightening from a standstill-like phase with damping oscillations followed by a deep dip. Kimura et al. (2019) recently proposed a model based on thermal-viscous disk instability in a tilted disk to reproduce the IW And-type characteristics. IM Eri experienced the IW And-type phase in 2018 and we recorded three cycles of the (damping) oscillation phase terminated by brightening. We identified two periods during the IW And-type state: 4-5 d small-amplitude (often damping) oscillations and a 34-43 d long cycle. This behavior is typical for an IW And-type star. The object gradually brightened within the long cycle before the next brightening which terminated the (damping) oscillation phase. This observation agrees with the increasing disk mass during the long cycle predicted by a model of thermal-viscous disk instability in a tilted disk (Kimura et al. 2019). We, however, did not succeed in detecting negative superhumps, which are considered to be the signature of a tilted disk.

It is shown that the $B_{66}$ term, which connects the $|\pm5/2 \rangle$ and the $|\mp7/2\rangle$ states through the off-diagonal matrix element, is responsible for the characteristic magnetization process in this compound. We also introduce orbital dependent exchange interactions to explain the temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility.

This is the first clear demonstration of a standstill occurring between superoutbursts of an SU UMa-type dwarf nova. There was no sign of superhumps during the standstill, and at least one superoutburst directly started from the standstill. This provides strong evidence that the 3:1 resonance was excited during standstills. This phenomenon indicates that the disk radius can grow during standstills. We also interpret that the condition close to the limit of the tidal instability caused early quenching of superoutbursts, which resulted substantial amount of matter left in the disk after the superoutburst. We interpret that the substantial matter in the disk in condition close to the limit of the tidal instability is responsible for standstills (as in the high mass-transfer system NY Ser) or multiple rebrightenings (as in the low mass-transfer system V1006 Cyg).

In this paper, we propose a novel sparse signal recovery algorithm called Trainable ISTA (TISTA). The proposed algorithm consists of two estimation units such as a linear estimation unit and a minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimator-based shrinkage unit. The estimated error variance required in the MMSE shrinkage unit is precisely estimated from a tentative estimate of the original signal. The remarkable feature of the proposed scheme is that TISTA includes adjustable variables controlling a step size and the error variance for the MMSE shrinkage. The variables are adjusted by standard deep learning techniques. The number of trainable variables of TISTA is equal to the number of iteration rounds and it is much smaller than that of known learnable sparse signal recovery algorithms. This feature leads to highly stable and fast training processes of TISTA. Computer experiments show that TISTA is applicable to various classes of sensing matrices such as Gaussian matrices, binary matrices and matrices with large condition numbers. Numerical results also demonstrate that TISTA shows significantly faster convergence than those of AMP and LISTA in many cases.

In this paper, we propose majority voting neural networks for sparse signal recovery in binary compressed sensing. The majority voting neural network is composed of several independently trained feedforward neural networks employing the sigmoid function as an activation function. Our empirical study shows that a choice of a loss function used in training processes for the network is of prime importance. We found a loss function suitable for sparse signal recovery, which includes a cross entropy-like term and an $L_1$ regularized term. From the experimental results, we observed that the majority voting neural network achieves excellent recovery performance, which is approaching the optimal performance as the number of component nets grows. The simple architecture of the majority voting neural networks would be beneficial for both software and hardware implementations.
