The X-ray binary Her X-1 consists of an accreting neutron star and the optical component HZ Her. The 35-day X-ray superorbital variability of this system is known since its discovery in 1972 by the Uhuru satellite and is believed to be caused by forced precession of a warped accretion disk tilted to the orbital plane. We argue that the observed features of the 35-day optical variability of HZ Her can be explained by free precession of the neutron star with a period close to that of the forced disk. The model parameters include a) the X-ray luminosity of the neutron star; b) the optical flux from the accretion disk; c) the tilt of the inner and outer edges of the accretion disk. A possible synchronization mechanism based on the coupling between the neutron star free precession and the dynamical action of non-stationary gas streams is discussed.

Classical T Tauri stars with ages of less than 10 Myr possess accretion discs. Magnetohydrodynamic processes at the boundary between the disc and the stellar magnetosphere control the accretion and ejections gas flows. We carried out a long series of simultaneous spectroscopic and photometric observations of the classical T Tauri stars RY Tau and SU Aur with the aim to quantify the accretion and outflow dynamics at time scales from days to years. It is shown that dust in the disc wind is the main source of photometric variability of these stars. In RY Tau we observed a new effect: during events of enhanced outflow the circumstellar extinction gets lower. The characteristic time of changes in outflow velocity and stellar brightness indicates that the obscuring dust is near the star. The outflow activity in both stars is changing on a time scale of years. Periods of quiescence in H$α$ profile variability were observed during 2015-2016 season in RY Tau and during 2016-2017 season in SU Aur. We interpret these findings in the framework of the magnetospheric accretion model, and discuss how the global stellar magnetic field may influence the long-term variations of the outflow activity.

Abstract:
In three seasons of 2015-2018 we carried out a series of visible and near infrared (NIR) photometry of SU Aur. In course of this photometric monitoring we detected an event of a deep fading of the star in spring of 2018. In this paper we present preliminary analysis of our photometry.

A short period eclipsing binary star CV Boo is tested for the possible existence of additional bodies in the system with a help of the light equation method. We use data on the moments of minima from the literature as well as from our observations during 2014 May--July. A variation of the CV Boo's orbital period is found with a period of $\approx 75$ d. This variation can be explained by the influence of a third star with a mass of $\approx 0.4M_{\odot}$ in an eccentric orbit with $e\approx 0.9$. A possibility that the orbital period changes on long time scales is discussed. The suggested tertiary companion is near the chaotic zone around the central binary, so CV Boo represents an interesting example to test its dynamical evolution. A list of 14 minima moments of the binary obtained from our observations is presented.

Our aim is to test the system on existence of new bodies using timing of minima of eclipses. We found the periodical variation of orbital period of V0873 Per. This variation can be explained by the gravitational influence of a third companion on the central binary star. The mass of third body candidate is $\approx 0.2 M_{\odot}$, its orbital period is $\approx 300$ days. The paper also includes a table with moments of minima calculated from our observations which can be used in future investigations of V0873 Per.

Continuing the project described by Kato et al. (2009, PASJ, 61, S395, arXiv:0905.1757), we collected times of superhump maxima for 56 SU UMa-type dwarf novae mainly observed during the 2013-2014 season and characterized these objects. We detected negative superhumps in VW Hyi and indicated that the low number of normal outbursts in some supercycle can be interpreted as a result of the disk tilt. This finding, combined with the Kepler observation of V1504 Cyg and V344 Lyr, suggests that the disk tilt is responsible for modulating the outburst pattern in SU UMa-type dwarf novae. We also studied the deeply eclipsing WZ Sge-type dwarf nova MASTER OT J005740.99+443101.5 and found evidence of a sharp eclipse during the phase of early superhumps. The profile can be reproduced by a combination of the eclipse of the axisymmetric disk and the uneclipsed light source of early superhumps. This finding confirms the lack of evince of a greatly enhanced hot spot during the early stage of WZ Sge-type outburst. We detected growing (stage A) superhumps in MN Dra and give a suggestion that some of SU UMa-type dwarf novae situated near the critical condition of tidal instability may show long-lasting stage A superhumps. The large negative period derivatives reported in such systems can be understood a result of the combination of stage A and B superhumps. The WZ Sge-type dwarf novae AL Com and ASASSN-13ck showed a long-lasting (plateau-type) rebrightening. In the early phase of the rebrightening, both objects showed a precursor-like outburst, suggesting that the long-lasting rebrightening is triggered by a precursor outburst.

Five flares have been detected during the campaign by radio monitoring observation with RATAN-600. The X-ray astronomical satellite Suzaku observed the source in and out of eclipse. In the X-ray data out of eclipse, the flux shows a significant variation with a time scale of hours. The source seems to be in the active state during the campaign. Results of simultaneous INTEGRAL and optical observations of galactic microquasar SS433 in May 2003 and INTEGRAL/RXTE observations in March 2004 are presented. Persistent precessional variability with a maximum to minimum uneclipsed hard X-ray flux ratio of \sim 4 is discovered. The 18-60 keV X-ray eclipse is found to be in phase with optical and near infrared eclipses. The orbital eclipse observed by INTEGRAL in May 2003 is at least two times deeper and apparently wider than in soft X-ray band. The broadband X-ray spectrum 2-100 keV simultaneously detected by RXTE/INTEGRAL in March 2004 can be described by bremsstrahlung emission from optically thin thermal plasma with kT\sim 30 keV. The optical spectroscopy with the 6-m SAO BTA telescope confirmed the optical companion to be an A5-A7 supergiant. For the first time, spectorscopic indications of a strong heating effect in the optical star atmosphere are found. The measurements of absorption lines which are presumably formed in the non-illuminated side of the supergiant yield its radial velocity semi-amplitude K_v=132\pm 9 km/s. The analysis of the observed hard X-ray light curve and the eclipse duration, combined with spectroscopically found optical star radial velocity corrected for the strong heating effect, allows us to model SS433 as a massive X-ray binary. Assuming that the hard X-ray source in SS433 is eclipsed by the donor star that exactly fills its Roche lobe, the masses of the optical and compact components in SS433 are suggested to be M_v\approx 30 M_\odot and M_x\approx 9M_\odot, respectively. This provides further evidence that SS433 is a massive binary system with supercritical accretion onto a black hole.

Mean orbital light curves of SS433 in different precessional phases are analysed for active and passive states separately. In passive states the mean brightness depends strongly on the disk orientation, the star is fainter by a factor about 2.2 in the disk edge-on positions. In active states the brightness does not depend significantly on the precessional phase. We suggest that in active states hot gas cocoons surrounding the inner jets grow and can not be shielded by the disk rim in the edge-on phases. Brightest optical flares are clear separated in two groups in orbital phases, it is considered as indication of orbital eccentricity. Bright flares prefer specific precession and nodding phases, it favours the slaved disk model and the flares as disk perturbations by a torque applied to outer parts of the accretion disk.
