The plains of Efrika.
Efrika is a continent in the eastern hemisphere of Sonic's World known to be home to the vast Efrika Plains.
History[]
Dr. Eggman landed in the Efrika Plains in the wreckage of the Egg-Wily Machine X following his first teamup with Dr. Albert W. Wily. He and Orbot and Cubot subsequently encountered Axel the Water Buffalo and the Efrika Egg Army, who had been attempting to conquer the region for Eggman for some time. (StH: #252, #253)

- Efrika is the equivalent of Africa in Sonic's World.
- Proceeding Soumerca, Efrika was the first of several regions of Sonic's World revealed to have survived the events of Worlds Collide with its original name intact. Mercia, Downunda, and the Northern Tundra were renamed Avalon, Tralius, and Artika respectively.
- In one of the bonus pages of Sonic the Hedgehog issue #259, the continent is misspelled as Efryka.
