Quote "Traitor!"

FN-2199, (nicknamed "Nines"; also popularly known as "TR-8R"), is a minor antagonist from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He was another assassin working for General Armitage Hux.

Information[]

He is the second leader of the Stormtroopers, and is likely Captain Phasma's right-hand man. He is also an assassin working for General Hux. However, he is likely not to be truly evil, but rather angry, like the Ender Dragon in Minecraft.

History[]

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens[]

When Han Solo takes FN-2187 (now called Finn) and Rey to look for more clues to where Luke Skywalker is, the First Order tracks them down and a massive battle starts. In the battle, a huge army of Stormtroopers appear and attack the Rebels.

Immediately after Finn kills a Stormtrooper with a lightsaber, FN-2199 appears and calls Finn a traitor before drawing his Z6 riot control baton. He deflects all of Finn's attacks and gains the upper hand but is shot and killed by Han Solo before he can deliver the killing blow.

Behind the scenes[]

FN-2199 has become a very popular character among the fans, because of his one single line, because of his durability, limited screen time, and duel with Finn.

Trivia[]

  • The nickname "TR-8R" is a pun on "traitor", which is what he accuses Finn of being.
  • He is one of the first Stormtroopers to be given screentime as a character.
