Ranakdevi Mahal is a palace located in east side of Junagadh, Gujarat, India. Ranakdevi Mahal named after Chudasama Rajput queen Ranakdevi. Ranakdevi was wife of Chudasama King Khengara of Junagadh[1]

History

Ranakdevi Mahal was built by Chudasama King of Khengara Junagadh[2] It is also included in list of State Protected Monuments as S GJ 115 officially reported by and available through the website of the Archaeological Survey of India in the Indian state Gujarat.

Architecture

It was originally a Palace having a temple which later converted into mosque

Controversy

As Gujarat tourism added board near site namkng jami masjid with Ranakdevi Mahal people started protest to remove Jami Masjid word as of now this controversial board is removed[5]
