The movie is said to be based on the film called Sadak that released in 1991, Himesh plays a lawyer in this film, the lawyer falls in love with a prostitute and it is the story of how they find true love.^{[citation needed]}

Himesh Reshammiya refused to do a lovemaking scene in Pooja Bhatt's Kajraare following which Pooja Bhatt removed the scene from the film.

The film took around 2 years to get finally completed since its announcement in November 2007.^{[citation needed]}
