The song "sunset" should be added to the discography.

I think it would be useful to mention several additional facts about Mr Wonder - for example his skills as a musician and composer (he's far more than just a singer) or the way he has coped with blindness. Maybe someone who has read a bit more about him would care to elaborate... otherwise I'll have to get round to some research.

I think it would also be good to make clear that his career still continues - the final paragraph makes it sound like a posthumous review.

Stevie Wonder

Wonder's birth name is the source of some confusion. His official site lists his birth name as Steveland Morris, but most sources agree his birth name was Steveland Judkins or Steveland Hardaway Judkins (his parents were Lula Hardaway and Calvin Judkins). Other sources spell it "Stevland," without the second "e." Relying on his mother's authorized biography, Blind Faith: The Miraculous Journey of Lula Hardaway, Stevie Wonder's Mother (2002, Simon and Schuster). The book states, "Stevland Judkins was born on May 13, 1950." Blind Faith also says that his surname was legally changed to Morris, "an old family name," when he signed with Motown in 1961

Hearsay concerning the relationship of Stevies' wives to Stevie hardly seems appropriate in any authoritative summary of a man's life and achievement. Maybe it is just the offhanded and rather snide way that they are mentioned, but I would amend this to exclude this unsupported comment about the women. It's just bad taste. Also Stevie's writing, music, and actions speak much better to his social and political feelings than this offhanded quip about political affiliation. It seems that this writer is using the encyclopaedia as a forum for political propagation. This should be revised, or removed.

i like his stuff. especlially his words and how he links his lyrics to real life and is not afraid to speak about it.

Lost the Funk !

I jumped up and down in the checkout lane, some brand new juice after so long. A Time To Love, let down my expectations. I will keep trying to get it ‘cause Stevie has forgotten more about soul, than the ability of any other living person I can think of.

But I gotta say it - all the tracks sound the same. The lyrics don’t jump out with that old punch. The orchestration lacks the complexity and layers of previous work. The percussion is absent without leave. The unique presentation is gone. The album has received much critical acclaim, but the emperor is not wearing any cloths. Keep my money, give me the real Stevie Wonder back, not some bland elevator tunes.

i think that it would be really awsome if someone would do a dramatic performance peice about his life!

"he sucks"

Someone felt the need to add the words "he sucks" immediately following the mention of Stevie Wonder's performance at the 2006 Super Bowl. I have edited this "comment" out. --- TheInvisMan, 11:36 AM EST, February 09, 2006
