‘All Elite Wrestling: Dark’ Review (Oct 6th 2020)

by Nathan Favel

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got more squash matches. Ow. My balls hurt saying that. I am glad that we have so many new wrestlers coming on here. Are you ready to give $50 to Jesus? You can send your money to 00000 Dumbass Lane, PO Box B00B. Okay, let’s get to this show before I try to tell jokes again.

  • Brandi Rhodes with Dustin Rhodes def. Kenzie Paige – 1
  • Jurassic Express with Marko Stunt def. Ray Rosas and Eric Watts – 2.9
  • Chaos Project def. Anthony Bowens and Lee Johnson – 2.5
  • Will Hobbs def. Ryzin – 2.3
  • John “4” Silver with Dark Order def. QT Marshall with Dustin Rhodes – 3
  • Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison def. Cezar Bononi and David Ali – 2.3
  • Big Swole def. Skyler Moore – 1.1
  • Matt Sydal def. Michael Nakazawa – 2.4
  • Eddie Kingston def. M’Badu – 1.4
  • Angelico with Jack Evans def. Sean Dean – 2.7
  • The Lucha Brothers with Eddie Kingston def. Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela – 3.1

Final Verdict: 2.5/5

You got a lot of squashes and whatever else, but a lot of young fighters are getting a shot at global exposure this way, so that negates some of my gripes…some of them. If the goal is to give more indy guys work, then why not spit Dark into two broadcasts, with one being called Dark and the other another name? Take one set of name fighters and give them the main event of Dark and give the roster members the other show and let them have longer matches? Instead of having one lame show, you could have two shorter shows with better matches? Well, as for this show, you have a couple of decent matches here that will do for solid entertainment, but that’s it. Still, Raw is usually worse than anything here, so perspective is key when watching this show.
