It was underwhelmng

I did not like the idea of fictionalizing any of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) for the sheer fact that they are a source of guidance for Muslims, and hence everything they did or said after accepting Islam becomes a model for Muslims to follow. Despite clearly stating at the outset that the film is a fictionalized version, I still find it a bit risky to show young, impressionable minds this film. Although, I must acknowledge the importance of bringing to light through a broader platform, like an animated feature film, the stories of the companions, but since this film manipulated the story of Bilal (RA), I would not recommend it. However, the issue of corruption, tyranny and inequality have been dealt with, which merited it getting a 4-star rating from me.
