Getting better...maybe!
Still on the fence about this show after the 5th episode. It seems to be getting better, but I believe that it's fate is already written.
And to the person that keeps giving it 1 star and writing the same review with different wording...please get a life. We understand that you don't like the show.

Slow start but gets better
I'll admit, the pilot episode is not good. The humour is cringey and the plot is strange. However, do remember that the main purpose of the pilot is to set up the rest of the show. However once you pass the first episode, the show become more bearable. Don't know it before you try a few episodes.

I'm in the minority writing this.
I tuned in hoping for a simple comedy with a fun cast. That is what I found. Nothing hard to interpret with plot line and that's OK with me.
Meh
Anyone else felt like they were watching a Disney Channel comedy?

Very dated humour
I didn't think that laugh tracks and jokes like that we're still a thing. For such a great and original premise it's supremely let down by the fact unfunny jokes such as these young millennials thinking the gorgeous couple Claire and Jake are much more older than them, as well as the ditzy pop star archetype that Sierra was who kept getting words wrong in common phrases. It had some charm to it but I thought sitcoms were getting smarter and this seems to have set them back. This would not have been out of place 15 years ago but in 2018 it's quite lazy and weak.

It was a funny pilot
Granted I've only seen the pilot but we laughed through the whole thing. Promising start. As always it's good to see that most who review things hate everything (sarcasm)
Did it break new ground? No
Was it funny? Yes
Waste of Damon's talent
Couldn't even get halfway through the 1st episode. Between the laugh track going to mediocre jokes and it just being bad, there's no way it will be renewed for a 2nd season. Damon needs to be paired with other strong comedians like on happy endings. I hope for his sake he joins his dad on Lethal Weapon.

Charming, funny show
I would watch Damon Wayans Jr in anything and I'm really impressed with Amber Stevens. They have great chemistry and are very funny comic actors. This show may have some cheesy moments but it's entertaining,
Interesting and charming and much better than the other new comedies this year.
Not bad BUT...
Would be better if they got rid of the goofy parents. The show is charming and enjoyable. The premise of the show is good, a superstar hiding out with some everyday folks to try to live a normal life. I love the three main characters. BUT as soon as the parents show up it become stupid and ridiculous. Their characters are beyond silly and do not add anything to the show. Get rid of them and I would give it 9 stars.
Tired
These stale jokes are an insult to the talent of Damon Wayans and Amber Stevens West. They deserve so much better.

Good Show, but Please Remove Laugh Track
Refreshing to have decent sitcoms again. To see 'Coach' again in a new sitcom is great. This is a good show representing average young married couples clashing with the rich and famous. But, other than that premise, Daman Wayans Jr. is hilarious. Reminds me a little of Marlon, but he is definitely his own unique humor. But, get rid of the stupid laugh track.
Interesting
I'm not going to talk about the story, acting or even the comedy, but Jake and Claire relationship is perfect, not in romantic way of course but it's really something else, honesty, secured and they're not just couples they're best friends!

LOL nope
Not gonna last long, NOT gonna be renewed. It's just so obvious lol. It's almost like you can feel that this isn't gonna last lol. Because you're just not feeling it.

Below average
The show had some funny moments but overall it wasn't really good. The idea of a celebrity interacting with ordinary people was better done in the "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" series.
The whole production was too light, safe and bland. Good jokes require some harshness.
really really really stupid premise
Jake Davis (Damon Wayans Jr.) is a white toast accountant who likes to stay home to watch Netflix with his wife Claire (Amber Stevens West). Their lives are turned upside down when his famous client Cooper James gets dumped by his pop star girlfriend Sierra Quinn and forced to hide from the paparazzi at their house. Claire's mom Bonnie and dad Gerald are overjoyed by their new stardom. The couple decides that Cooper would be better off with some normal living in his life.
The premise is really stupid. It doesn't matter that it's based on a true story. It doesn't make it any less stupid. It's really annoying how stupid it is. The only reason I actually like this show is the great comedic coupling of Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West. I love both of them and they're great together. The young star is a bit bland although he fits the mould. If not for Damon and Amber, this show would be a must skip. It got canceled after the first season.

Keeps getting better
Great chemistry between the lead couple, and fantastic comedic timing. The theme is one that's all too familiar: young couple starting to age out of the cool lives they've been living. The "rock star crashing with us" pretext is the less interesting part of the show, but the married banter is fresher than anything Kevin James or the like have ever served up. Watch past episode one, which is a bit slow as pilots often are, and you'll enjoy.
Who writes for this show???
Turning up the laugh track to 11 can't make drowned out this lame sitcom. The actors seem likable but the writing (AND THE OVER THE TOP) laugh track are unbearable...

Hilarious
Anything to do with the Wayans is always amazing! I love this show so much. I don't think my mom and I stop laughing while watching the show! So funny!

Drivel
They cancelled Superior Donuts for this drivel!?!? Incredibly boring and stupid.
Yikes
If Kevin can wait can get canceled, this has no chance.
Fun show
I find this entertaining. It is a sitcom nothing serious about it, just silly fun
