A week after making its first appearance on the streaming charts, former Showtime drama Your Honor has rocketed to No. 1 overall.
The series starring Bryan Cranston nearly tripled its viewing time on Netflix and Paramount+ in the week of June 3-9, grabbing 1.53 billion minutes (vs. 544 million the week before) and bumping Bridgerton out of the top overall spot. Your Honor had its Netflix premiere on May 31.
Bridgerton, meanwhile, fell by about 42 percent week to week and finished with 806 million minutes of viewing — a figure that’s likely to go up in the next set of rankings, which will include the release of the Netflix show’s final season three episodes. It finished ninth overall and third among original series, behind Eric (926 million minutes of viewing) and Sweet Tooth (874 million).

There were no surprises on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings for May 27-June 2.
“Bridgerton” stayed on top for the third week in a row with 1.4 billion minutes watched in the second full week of availability for Season 3’s first four episodes, though the total is inclusive of both previous seasons of the show, which certainly continue to deliver strong viewership as evidenced by Netflix and Luminate’s recent charts, which separate viewership by season.
As such, the Top 10 was almost identical to last weeks. Only “Dune: Part Two” fell off of the chart — though it remained in the Top 10 streaming movies at No. 2 — and it was replaced by “Reba,” which didn’t chart last week but did the week before after being added to Netflix. And after the release of its fourth season’s second episode, “Evil” was the only streaming original besides “Bridgerton” — though it was boosted by the...

The rule of Bridgerton — and Shonda Rhimes — on the streaming charts continued into the first two days of June.
Bridgerton declined about 37 percent in viewing time from a week earlier, but the Regency-era drama still ranked No. 1 overall on Nielsen’s charts for May 27-June 2 with 1.38 billion minutes of watch time on Netflix. The series has claimed the top spot for three straight weeks since its May 16 premiere, with another surge likely coming when results for the second half of the season (which debuted June 13) begin to arrive.
Rhimes’ Shondaland also had two other entries on the charts: Grey’s Anatomy came in third overall with 1.2 billion minutes on Hulu and Netflix. Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte also edged back into the top 10 original series list, scoring 274 million minutes of viewing.
Jennifer Lopez’s sci-fi film Atlas grew by 36 percent in its second week on the charts, taking fourth place overall and...

How dark of a path must our beloved assessors walk?
At times, it seems like it's all a little too much for them, and Evil Season 4 Episode 6 was one of those times.
"How to Dance in Three Easy Steps" showed just how easy it is to lose yourself in the dance of life when it's the worst thing for you.
The Devil Made Me Do It
Katherine Orlander was in prison for killing her children. A former professional dancer, she refused to stop dancing in her cell, so the assessors were called in to assist.
By all accounts, she seemed to be possessed. She had all the classic symptoms, and really, what else could drive a parent to kill her children? Why not the devil?
If this were true, it's a theory I'd fully embrace. Trying to imagine killing your own children, most of which are mere babies when it happens,...

“This is a true story.”
So begins “Baby Reindeer,” and those five words, which appear on a title card, have ignited a firestorm of controversy. Now, Netflix’s runaway hit about an aspiring comedian named Donny Dunn is facing uncomfortable scrutiny over its depiction of thinly veiled real-life people.
On June 6, Fiona Harvey filed a $170 million lawsuit against Netflix, claiming the series falsely presented her as a sexual predator and a twice-convicted stalker who was sentenced to five years in prison. “As a result of [Netflix’s] lies, malfeasance and utterly reckless misconduct, Harvey’s life had been ruined,” the suit states. In response, Netflix said it stands by “Baby Reindeer” creator-writer-star Richard Gadd and his “right to tell his story.”
The series, which is poised to become Netflix’s most-streamed show of all time, is also facing questions about whether Gadd engaged in casting couch antics. Two months before Harvey’s suit,...

“Bridgerton” has returned to first place on the Netflix Top 10 after the debut of Season 3 Part 2. The season hit 28 million views in the final four episodes’ first four days of availability.
Viewership of earlier episodes through the entire week of June 10-16 were also accounted for in that total, but were Netflix to separate views of Parts 1 and 2, the number would likely be even higher. Views are calculated by dividing the total number of hours streamed by a title’s runtime. Therefore, even though the majority of the season’s 223.3 million viewing hours were certainly concentrated on the final four episodes, they were divided by the season’s full eight-hour length, rather than its latter few hours alone.
Season 3 has been a massive success for Netflix, having opened with 45.1 million views — “Bridgerton’s” best-ever launch. By the June 3-9 viewing window, less than one month after its May 27 debut, the...

“Hit Man” was the most-watched streaming original of the week by far according to Luminate’s weekly viewership rankings for June 7-13. The Richard Linklater film, which had a limited run in theaters but was primarily launched as Netflix original, hit 1.5 billion minutes watched in its first seven days on the service — translating to 12.6 million estimated views when divided by the film’s runtime.
In both viewing minutes and views, “Hit Man” more than doubled the performance of the next-most-watched movie. The French Netflix film “Under Paris” landed at No. 2 with 594.8 million minutes watched and 5.7 million views, followed by Netflix’s “How to Rob a Bank” with 216.2 million minutes watched and 2.5 million views.
The rest of the chart was populated by titles that have made Luminate's rankings in previous weeks, e.g. "Atlas" (No. 4 with 113.7 million minutes watched) and "Colors of Evil: Red" (No. 5 with 106 million minutes).

After a runaway success when it debuted in April, “Baby Reindeer” has become Netflix’s No. 10 most popular English-language series of all time.
The streamer compiles this chart by measuring views accrued in each title’s first 91 days of streaming; “Baby Reindeer” has reached 84.5 million, knocking “The Witcher” off the list. Richard Gadd’s limited series could keep moving higher in the rankings, as it won’t hit the 91-day mark until July 10. The next title to beat is Season 2 of “Bridgerton,” which sits at No. 9 with 93.8 million views — though Season 3 of “Bridgerton” is also likely to join the rankings after its last four episodes drop on June 13.
The most-watched title of the June 3-9 viewing window was “Under Paris,” which debuted with 40.9 million views in its first week of availability. That makes it not only the most-watched Netflix film since “Damsel” hit 50.8 million views in the March 11-17 viewing window,...

Miranda Derrick, the subject of Netflix’s docuseries “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult,” released a video on Instagram claiming that her and her husband James’ “lives have been put in danger” since the release of the hit documentary.
The three-episode series, which premiered on May 29, follows a group of TikTok dancers who believe they are involved in a talent management company called 7M. The docuseries focuses on Miranda Derrick, a member who’s estranged from her family, which is desperately trying to get her out. It also paints a portrait of Robert Shinn, the 7M leader and self-proclaimed “man of God” who is a pastor at an invite-only church called Shekinah. Members who escaped 7M shared their stories of heartbreak and grief under the leader. One former member, Priscylla Lee, who participated in the series, currently has a lawsuit against Shinn and other Shekinah members.

“Eric” and “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” were the two most-watched original series in the U.S. during the week of May 31-June 6.
“Eric,” Netflix’s Benedict Cumberbatch-led limited series, had the highest number of minutes watched in its first full week of availability, clocking in at 1.1 billion, while the TikTok docuseries followed at 714.6 million minutes watched. While both demonstrated strong viewership, “Eric” took first place thanks to the benefit of its five-plus-hour runtime; in views, “Dancing for the Devil” hit an estimated 4.4 million people, while “Eric” came in second with 3.3 million.
In terms of minutes watched and views, both titles edged out “Bridgerton” Season 3, which has dominated the charts since its debut. With 432.3 million minutes watched, the Regency-era drama was the No. 4 series in its third week of availability, ranking just behind “Geek Girl” (439.7 million), though “Bridgerton” did get more views (2 million vs. 1.3 million). “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” debuted as the second-most-watched TV title on Netflix for the week of May 27-June 2. In its first five days of streaming, the docuseries hit 8.8 million views.
On the TV chart, it was only beat by Season 3 of “Bridgerton,” which hit 11.6 million views in its second full week of availability and brought the season to a cumulative 82 million views since launch — just a hair below the total it needs to reach before being added to Netflix’s list of its most popular TV titles. Currently, Season 1 of “The Witcher” ranks at No. 10 on that chart with 83 million views in its first 91 days on Netflix. “Bridgerton” will certainly surpass it by next week.

Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult is yet another Netflix documentary that tells us about a self-proclaimed godman who is said to have brainwashed a lot of young people and influencers for his own benefit and wreaked havoc on the lives of the families of those victims. Whenever I watch a documentary or a film, there are multiple questions that pop up in my mind. I always think about what would it be like have a one-on-one conversation with them—if they would be so charismatic that I would get charmed and influenced by their aura; if they would be thinking that what they are doing is not right; if they know that they are just fooling people by telling them that they have a direct link to the almighty; or if they are delusional enough to believe that they actually have some supernatural powers and that they are the chosen ones.
