The 56th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® closed in spectacular fashion night, with Great Expectations capping off what has been a great 12 days. London Film Festival been in more venues than ever before and increased the audiences by 12%. The 56th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® showed over 200 features, 100 shorts, hosted 18 Galas, and held an Awards night that awarded Rust and Bone with Best Film. My Brother the Devil's director and screenwriter, Sally El Hosaini was awarded Best British Newcomer, presented in partnership with Swarovski. Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God received Best Documentary and Beasts of the Southern Wild was awarded the Best First Feature.
