While Melanie and Santa are chatting before takeoff, the captain announces that they are "number 3 for takeoff". However, the scenery outside of Melanie's window shows that the aircraft is still near structures and not on a taxiway. Nor is there any engine noise from other nearby aircraft taking off.
While Melanie is talking to Santa just before takeoff, in one shot we can see what appears to be part of a jetway or some other structure outside of her window. The shot cuts to Santa then back to Melanie. This time, however, we can see a parked aircraft facing Melanie's window.
When they can't leave because of the bear, there are two errors. One: bears don't truly hibernate, so when they call the people to come get the bear, the ranger wouldn't find it ridiculous that the bear was there. Two: the bear wouldn't hang out there so long unless it was feeding, and then it would eventually move on. Also, usually a human could just scare it away.
Snow is on the ground in some scenes, green grass and leaves on trees in other scenes.
After helping out as elves, Melanie and Dean discuss Melanie's boyfriend having 'bear' problems next to a large stuffed tiger and a USA today newspaper stand. While the stand is Christmas green, the paper inside had a clear headline concerning "An Easter Surprise" and two politicians shaking hands.
