Eddsworld is a great animated (flash) series that has been around for quite sometime. Why is it so popular? Why do people love it? What makes it funny? Here is why:
Eddsworld mixes a lot of funny and charming concepts together which makes it nearly impossible to hate. The series recognizes that it is a cartoon and that it shouldn't be taken too seriously. A nice thing about the show is that it is "innocent". The show never has an swearing (or serious swearing for that manner), doesn't have any innuendos, sexual jokes, or any coarse humor. This means that the show focuses directly on the humor and the characters and thankfully it succeeds in this.
The show stars four main characters: Edd, Tom, Matt, and Tord (but Tord left the show). None of the characters are really deep, profound, or extremely engaging but they ARE ALL ENTERTAINING! And this is what makes this show so addicting is that all of the characters are different from each other and each has their own traits. Edd is the main character who can't resist making puns, likes drinking coke, and generally optimistic. Tom is a bit more serious, violent, has no eyes, and is never happy. Matt is self-obsessed, dim-witted, but is generally in a good mood. Tord was extremely violent, more aggressive, and didn't talk as much. As time went on Tom starts to take the attributes of Tord. If there is one problem I have with the show is that I think all comedies are better with four characters, take the Marx Brothers for example.
The cartoons are fairly random and generally are about some random or wacky adventure that occurs. Again, the plot of the show isn't amazing but its wittiness, characters, and charm makes up for any of its short comings. I hope this show can continue for years to come, even with Edd gone (whom we all miss) the show still shows that it has a great sense of humor and character interaction.

This is the best animated series I've found on the internet. The settings and themes for each episode are so diverse, as opposed to the standard white void. The jokes are hilarious and quotable, and it's easy to love the characters. I wish this show was still being made.

Eddsworld is amazing, the colors are not generic, super beautiful and smooth animation, very good mood and much more with just a team of 6 people.
And there are no generic jokes, the most generic is from hammer to failure that matt says that the house still has a lot of space and he opens the door and falls a lot of things. Watch if you can super recommend it had a more voutou end this year so watch it PLEASE. super recommend

This show is great, but after the episode PowerEdd, the show becomes literal trash.
Unfunny Jokes, Bad Writing, Horrible Visuals, Dumb Animation, Boring Characters, and the worst of all, it's cringe as #&@-!
Original Eddsworld good.
Modern Eddsworld trash.

Eddsworld has not only been a great piece on its own, but it has influenced so many other wonderful works of art that would not exist without this series. It's unique sense of humor and character development are some of the main reasons as to why it got so popular, along with being one of the pioneers of popular flash animation on websites such as Newgrounds. If you were to pick up some of the earlier episodes from a decade ago, its surprising how it holds up today. It might not be the best of whatever you may think, but it most certainly is plain dumb fun every step of the way, and it inspired so much with just the power of the internet.

This show is peak content and I enjoy it very much, I feel like there's something for everyone in this show, and I recommend anyone to check it out. The classic eddisodes are the best in my opinion but it's all quite good. It's got a star cast and tomska is a great voice actor and writer and so was edd Gould. I'm happy this show came back considering how good it is. Super funny visual gags, and smooth animation, and even in the old animations it still had huge charm and expanding talent, the humor never ceases to provide me a good chuckle, fun fight scenes in the classic and the main cast is super enjoyable.

I'll be brief. These animations are amazing! They show the best results of their work since the distant times of newgrounds. Animations are still relevant today! Many of the team members continue their work on this magnificent project. Good Humor, Plot, Characters, References, Drawing Style - All this is just a small part of Eddsworld. I totally would recomend you watch All episodes from the beginning (Project was upgraded mostly every episode). The series has been praised for its high-energy comedic pacing and fascinating character development. Eddsworld also maintains a large and active online community, with a dedicated fan base that consistently produces fan art and original content inspired by the show.
Overall, Eddsworld is a fun and engaging animated series that has found a place in the hearts of many viewers thanks to its unique humor and lovable cast of characters.

While Internet cartoons can be crass and violent, this is a wonderful mostly kid friendly cartoon. We want to see cartoons from all around the world and the British have shown how good they are with this delightful series. The premise is pretty simple with a group of friends, now Edd, Matt, and Tom hanging out. They get into all sorts of wildly cartoonish misadventures. They try to cram in as many jokes as they can, and they always hit bullseyes. The show has gone through a lot of changes, most notably with the death of creator Edd Gould in 2012.
In fact, Edd (in the series) was based on him, and the other characters were based on his friends. It really does show how strong of a bond the real Edd had that his friends were willing to continue the series. One of the voice actors, Tomska also left the show as if Edd's death wasn't bad enough. They can turn any mundane situation into something hilarious and over the top. This show really has changed over the years. I've been around since it began, and I've realized how it has drastically changed.
It still manages to keep a consistent tone and doesn't have that much continuity. It's a very fun series with nice bright colors. There aren't many female characters and they've even made fun of that. It's extremely creative with a sense of not repeating stories and making new ideas all the time. This show has now gone on longer than the actual creator worked on it! That's very rare and the fact that these people have worked hard to bring us laughs after this wonderful man's death is so heartwarming. ****
