A large part of this anime is action and violence. Many characters die but then reanimate a few hours later. These deaths include stabbing, shooting, crushing, falling, drowning, etc. Minimal blood is displayed. Not too graphic compared to some other anime shows, though. Also, most of the deaths are for comedic purposes only.

Nightmarish ghouls can be seen towards the end of the show. Not too intense, but can be shocking or even a bit frightening to young kids. But the ghouls do not posses much power and are easily destroyed.
Many of the deaths in this show can be quite Suprising and at times, a bit frightening. But nothing way too intense.
While there aren't any things that would frighten or scare viewers, scenes near the end can be very emotionally intense
Usually Credited as being one of the saddest Animes ever put to air. The first half is quite light-hearted and played for laughs until the 6th episode, where the show slowly makes a shift in tone towards a depressing show. Eventually commenting into a Depressing ending, especially when the shows name is revealed to be why its called that.
There are quite a few emotional scenes in this show, especially towards the end. But they are all sad, not frightening.
