When speaking via telephone with paramedic Pamela Smith (Stacy Haiduk), Nash Bridges (Don Johnson) calls her "Miss Pamela." Pamela des Barres' 1987 memoire, "I'm with the Band - Confessions of a Groupie (Part 1)" was dedicated to Don Johnson, with whom she had a romantic relationship in the late 1960s. At the time, Pamela worked as a governess for Frank & Gail Zappa's children, and everyone there called her "Miss Pamela."
