William H. Macy is getting through the Primetime Emmy Awards with some liquid courage. The Shameless star told People about his awards night go-tos at Showtime's Emmy Eve Party at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Saturday night. The 12-time Emmy nominee mentioned that he requires three essentials going into any awards night. "Yes, the three F's: Food, bring a power bar, something like that. Flask, bring a little alcohol. Success came early to Keke Palmer–at age 10 she became the youngest-ever SAG lead actress nominee for The Wool Cap, opposite William H. Macy, and she scored lead roles in Akeelah and the Bee and Nickelodeon’s True Jackson before turning sweet 16. Now 22, she’s blown away to be costarring with Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts on Scream Queens, Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy‘s terror-iffic Fox show about a sorority with death problems. “I never knew I’d get a chance to work with Jamie Lee Curtis!” said Palmer. “She’s so sweet–she gives this energy where we always.

hollywoodnews.com: Keke Palmer reports she’s just graduated from high school — and she’s awfully relieved. ‘Hoo! Thank God. That was a lot of pressure on my back. Now it’s one less thing to worry about,’ declares the 16-year-old star of Nickelodeon’s ‘True Jackson, VP’ series — and the ‘True Jackson: Trapped in Paris’ movie that debuts on the channel tonight (5/22).

Keke, who rose to fame with acclaimed dramatic work in such fare as ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ and ‘The Wool Cap,’ tells us she may be stepping before the cameras in her first big screen teen comedy in coming weeks. She credits ‘True Jackson’ with giving her a place to show her comedic abilities. ‘Trapped in Paris’ even has her doing a rap song ‘on an airplane. It’s a really fun scene,’ she says.

She has other feature work on the horizon as well.

Keke Palmer has been cast as the lead in Nickelodeon's live-action pilot True Fashion.

The tentatively titled project, described as Big meets The Devil Wears Prada, centers on a 15-year-old (Palmer) tapped to head the teen division of a major fashion label. She has a passion for fashion but soon learns that corporate life has the same highs and lows as high school -- complete with cliques and mean girls -- but also comes with such cool perks as designing for up-and-coming rock stars and casting cute models.

The pilot, from creator/executive producer Andy Gordon (Back to You), was picked up in October. It begins shooting this week in Los Angeles, with a cast that also includes Ashley Argota, Danielle Bisutti and Matt Shively and a recurring role featuring Greg Proops ("Whose Line Is It Anyway?").

Palmer won an NAACP Image Award for her role in Akeelah and the Bee. She next appears on the big screen in Dimension's The Longshots, opening in July.

The singer-actress, who also was nominated for a SAG Award for her role in the TNT movie The Wool Cap, released her debut album, So Uncool, last year.

Perennial awards favorite Sideways dominated the Screen Actors Guild nominations with a field-best four nominations, including Best Ensemble Cast. The Alexander Payne comedy also nabbed three individual acting nominations as well for lead Paul Giamatti and supporting players Thomas Haden Church and Virginia Madsen, putting it just ahead of a number of films that received three nominations each, including The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Million Dollar Baby, and Hotel Rwanda; all those movies also earned Best Ensemble nominations alongside Ray and Sideways. Jamie Foxx was once again the actor of the hour, taking home three individual nominations for Ray, Collateral, and TV movie Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story as well as an Ensemble nod for Ray. Foxx was followed by Hilary Swank, who received two solo nominations, for Million Dollar Baby and HBO movie Iron Jawed Angels, and an Ensemble mention for Million Dollar Baby.

With their film nominations, the SAGs threw a number of new names into the awards season mix, including Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace), James Garner (The Notebook), Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland), Cloris Leachman (Spanglish), and Sophie Okonedo (Hotel Rwanda). A few noticeable absentees included Liam Neeson (Kinsey), Javier Bardem (The Sea Inside), and the entire cast of Closer, an actor-driven movie if there ever was one. On the TV side, familiar shows (The Sopranos, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc) rubbed elbows with a handful of newcomers, including Arrested Development and Desperate Housewives, and Patricia Heaton pulled a Hilary Swank of her own, getting two individual nominations for Everybody Loves Raymond and TV movie remake The Goodbye Girl as well as an Ensemble nomination for Raymond.
