Dino crisis 3:Gun Survivor (or Dino Stalker)is a first-person shooter with a bizarre story line that tries to follow on from that of its predecessors. The first and obvious change is that capcom have turned a great 3rd person survival series into a first person 'arcade' game. The game delivers lots and lots and lots of dinosaurs that can be shot with a variety of weapons - the main dinosaurs being velociraptors. As in most first person shooters the character has one weapon right from the start that has an infinite supply of ammo and other 'special weapons' can then be picked up along the way. The game contains about 8 levels that vary quiet nicely - but there is really nothing to do other than shoot those dinosaurs. If you're expecting this game to be remotely similar to Dino Crisis 1 or 2 then don't hold your breath. The story line is very often confusing and doesn't fit in well with where Dino Crisis 2 left off. After completing this game i saw that it was nothing more other than a cheap attempt at putting the cap on the dino crisis series. So my advice for all you Dino Crisis fans out there is to stay well away from this one! On a more general note, as for being a mindless first person shooter game, it offers a reasonable amount. Each level has a time limit depending on the difficultly setting and this limit can be extending by finding Tachyons. There are loads of weapons on offer including gattling guns, rocket launchers, magnums and mine throwers- thats one thing you can't complain about! The graphics are reasonable as well but the game has a very short playing time of about 45 minutes to an hour. Dino Stalker is also compatible with the GCon2 and focuses solely on shooting so you can forget about puzzle solving and finding keys. To be completely honest, this probably wont hold your interest any longer after completing it the first time round. My rating 3/10
