Thunderbolts* is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling upcoming projects in the MCU. The film is set to feature a team reminiscent of DC’s Suicide Squad, consisting of former villains and anti-heroes who are likely taking a more positive direction in the Marvel universe.
Additionally, the movie will introduce Sentry, one of the most formidable characters in Marvel, portrayed by Lewis Pullman.
Based on the first trailer and the promotional images we’ve seen so far, it appears that we know most of the team members in Thunderbolts. David Harbour will reprise his role as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen returns as Ghost, Sebastian Stan is back as Bucky Barnes, and Wyatt Russell returns as John Walker, also known as U.S. Agent.
Olga Kurylenko will also return as Taskmaster, while Florence Pugh reprises her role as Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow in the MCU.

Jon Bernthal ducked out of "The Walking Dead" at the right time (the end of season 2). He stayed on long enough to prove his talent without winding up tied down to the show. Of the series' original main cast, Bernthal has also had easily the most prolific film and television career since.
One of his most popular roles was in another comic book-based television series: Frank Castle/The Punisher on "Daredevil," and then a two season "Punisher" spin-off. Bernthal's Punisher is easily the highlight of "Daredevil" season 2; the season suffers whenever it pivoted to the less compelling Elektra/Hand storyline (Elodie Yung never steals a scene like Bernthal does). Even with the controversies surrounding the Punisher character, Marvel Studios has chosen to bring Bernthal back for revival series "Daredevil: Born Again." Welcome back, Frank!
In a funny coincidence, Bernthal is not the only "Walking Dead" alum to have played the Punisher.

‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ is one of the most exciting upcoming MCU releases, mostly due to the popularity of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ show. The series is supposed to merge Daredevil’s existing canon and supporting characters with the MCU canon, and fans couldn’t be more excited for this beginning of a street-level phase in the cinematic universe.
This is especially true considering that fan reaction to the Multiverse concept so far hasn’t been that stellar and there is an increasing need to make more grounded and street-level stories.
Now we know that ‘Born Again’ will bring back some old faces, like Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen, Elden Henson’s Foggy, D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Bernthal’s Punisher, but according to rumors, the execs are considering one more show that’s set to introduce more Defenders to the MCU.

Earlier this summer, Netflix announced His & Hers, an upcoming thriller limited series starring and executive produced by Emmy Award-nominated actress Tessa Thompson. Another page-to-screen adaptation, the limited series is based on the book of the same name by Alice Feeney, and two more key roles from the book have been cast for the Netflix series.

Dwayne Johnson has crafted for himself an incredible film career. Even though many of his movies lately have underperformed or bombed at the box office, the wrestler-turned-actor still boasts huge popularity. Famous for his typical hardcore action roles, Johnson has been a favorite of comic book fans as a popular fan cast.

However, we all know how well it turned out when he finally took on the DC role of Black Adam. A huge misstep that misfired quite badly, there was also a time that Johnson requested Marvel Boss Kevin Feige to cast him in a Marvel role.

In the age we live in now, comic book movies are mostly big, bloated, blockbusters with big budget bullshit, and while there are some exceptions to that statement these days, back in the late 90s- you’d bever find a comic book film with a budget in the hundreds of millions. These kinds of films were dark horses in Hollywood with unproven success to secure studio backing. Bloated, bullshit, blockbusters…were not an option. Now, there’s probably no need for me to explain the early days of Marvel movies and the constant state of financial decay that the company was in prior to the inception of the MCU. But suffice it to say that Marvel, the juggernaut movie studio who now owns their own corner of the industry, was once so broke that they sold off the rights to some of their characters and IP to stay afloat. Some Marvel characters have led the cinematic universe into becoming one of the most lucrative franchises in the history of Hollywood, such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor. Other heroes are usually suited for solo ventures or the small screen, catering to a narrower audience that craves something a little more specific.
Ray Stevenson as The Punisher in Punisher: War Zone || Lionsgate
The Punisher is one such character, receiving two unrelated solo films before getting rebooted a third time in the MCU with Netlfix’s Daredevil. While The Punisher has not shied away from violence in any of his live-action depictions, Ray Stevenson was keenly aware of how he wanted to portray his version of the character in a film, in a story that was otherwise concerned with a lot of gratuitous violence.

While onscreen, it’s the thugs, which crosses Punisher’s path, that have difficulty keeping their noses intact, off-screen it’s the other way around. From his violent gigs in The Walking Dead and Netflix’s The Punisher, which pushed him to stardom, to his life outside of showbiz, violence has been a notable aspect of Jon Bernthal’s career and life.
Although things changed for the better after he received three years of probation and a $2 million civil lawsuit for injuring a hostile man gravely, it didn’t stop his commitment to taking hits for the gig. Despite demolishing a plethora of walkers and enemies onscreen, he has broken his nose an extraordinary amount of times throughout his Hollywood run so far.

Almost five years after Jon Bernthal was seen flirting with Daredevil in Daredevil Season 2 finale, the character will be making an epic return to the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. Following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Wesley Snipes is rightfully getting some late recognition for his work in the Y2K era Blade films, but there’s another early-2000s Marvel pioneer who deserves some praise as well. Thomas Jane, who portrayed the title character in 2004’s The Punisher, was part of the same generation of early Marvel films that showed there was a massive market for superhero properties. Along with Jane’s Punisher – X-Men (2000), Elektra (2005), and yes even Ben Affleck’s Daredevil (2003) walked so the juggernaut known as the MCU could run only a few years later.

The MCU’s Man Without Fear is finally back in the spotlight. After two weeks in theaters, the third installment of the Deadpool trilogy has set multiple milestones. Deadpool & Wolverine, the final film in the Fox era X-Men franchise, has become the highest-grossing film in the trilogy, dethroning both of its previous installments.
The Deadpool fim series began in 2016 following a multi-year campaign by Ryan Reynolds attempting to make a more comic-accurate version of the character following the disastrous portrayal in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. At the time, it became the highest-grossing film in the X-Men franchise, just beating out 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The series continued with 2018’s Deadpool 2, which, surprisingly enough, beat the first film at the box office by a small margin. However, a PG-13 re-edit of the film Once Upon a Deadpool was released later that year, adding to the box office total.

David Ayer has been a celebrated filmmaker who wrote the Oscar-winning film Training Day. The filmmaker has made some amazing films including End of Watch, Fury, and most recently directed the Jason Statham starrer The Beekeeper. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is, to an extent, integrating the stories and characters of the Netflix era Marvel shows. The shows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher and The Defenders were all made in a partnership between Marvel Television and Netflix before Disney decided to create their own competing streaming platform.
Originally believed to have been wiped from continuity due to possible legal issues surrounding the shows’ ownership, it has been confirmed that both Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will be returning.
However, whenever you leave a role behind for a little while, you are bound to get rusty. That is why many actors tend to train for a period of time to get back into the role. Bernthal is no different. For him, getting back into character was a big priority.

Rob Zombie has said that for every one film project of his that moves forward, there are five potential projects that fall by the wayside. We haven’t heard of quite that many unmade Rob Zombie movies, but we have heard of several over the years that never got off the ground… and unfortunately, most of them sounded pretty interesting. A little over a year ago, Zombie had said he didn’t know what his next movie is going to be, but he did know what it’s not going to be: he won’t be continuing his Firefly franchise, and he doesn’t want to make a sequel to The Munsters (which was poorly received). So while he figures out his next cinematic move, we we have put together a list of Rob Zombie Movies We Want To See!

The cast of Daredevil: Born Again was at GalaxyCon this weekend, and with no mention of Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ TV shows at Comic-Con, they clearly weren't needed in San Diego.
One Redditor who attended the event got to speak with the cast and has shared some of what they learned on social media (via @DDevilUpdates).
The Man Without Fear himself, Charlie Cox, reportedly told them he'll be at D23 to promote the 9-episode series. That shouldn't come as a huge surprise because we've previously heard that the idea is to focus on Marvel Studios' small screen projects in Anaheim.
The actor also supposedly confirmed that season 2 begins shooting soon and said he's been reading every comic run he can in his free time. Cox named Frank Miller and Chip Zdarsky as his favourite Daredevil writers; you'll recall that the latter was responsible for The Kingpin's transformation into Mayor Fisk on the page.

There's a difference between "feud" and "archrivalry." Most viewers understand that there is generally an antagonist and a protagonist, even if the lines of morality are often blurry.
We aren't talking about an ongoing argument, either. This isn't a list of significant others arguing over whose turn it is to take out the garbage or wash the dishes.
No, these character feuds tend to be dynamic, historical (at least in the minds of many viewers), and ongoing, drawing the audience in with the acrimony between the two.
Instead of an argument, it's a struggle that weaves itself into the story, sometimes even becoming the story.

After the comeback of Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher’s slated return in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, many fans were doubtful if Finn Jones and Mike Colter would also appear in the MCU. While several rumors stated that Iron Fist may appear in the upcoming Eyes of Wakanda series, Jones has expressed his interest in doing a Heroes for Hire project in the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again has undergone a great many changes since first being announced. Roughly half of the 9-episode series had been shot, only for Marvel Studios to decide it wasn't working and that the creative team had taken the Man Without Fear in the wrong direction.
A massive creative overhaul followed; it reportedly involved enlisting new writers and directors, bringing back more Daredevil cast members, dropping at least a couple of actors from the cast, and making sweeping alterations to the story.
Now, we've learned that Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio also had some input in reshaping the series.
"Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive," Cox told fans at Fan Expo Boston 2024 (via Popverse). “Early on, we were trying something that was a bit different, and very quickly they were able to identify that wasn’t maybe working as...

Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny are teaming up in the streaming wars. Disney recently announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery in a new streaming bundle that adds Disney+ and Hulu to the Max streaming service. This has also led to counter bundles from competitors Netflix, Comcast, and Apple. The lines are being drawn in this next phase of streaming.
However, one group is very unhappy with the recent announcement. The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) has expressed its disdain for Disney associating itself with Max, a service that features multiple films and shows aimed at older audiences, such as Game of Thrones, with its violence and nudity.
In their eyes, they see this deal, and I am not exaggerating, as if Disney was adding pornography to the platform. While Hulu having movies like Poor Things (which is very graphic in terms of its sexual depictions on screen) was apparently okay,...

We've known for some time now that 2024 is something of a recalibration year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a rough past year for the blockbuster franchise. But with Wolverine & Deadpool just weeks away and X-Men '97 keeping the Marvel flag flying high on Disney+ right now, plans for Kevin Feige and co's big comeback are already well underway. And, during an announcement-laden Disney Upfront presentation yesterday, we got some big release updates for the studio's upcoming slate of Disney+ series.
Firstly, the House of Mouse — not Harkness — confirmed that they've been leading fans a merry dance with the titling of their upcoming WandaVision spin-off series, centred around everyone's favourite badass (and just plain bad) witch. It's not Agatha: House Of Harkness, The Coven Of Chaos, The Darkhold Diaries, or in fact The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe. Turns out it was Agatha All Along, well, all along — cheeky devils!

One of the biggest upcoming MCU releases is most certainly ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ The movie marks several big things. It’s Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU and also the only MCU movie to be released in 2024, in the hopes of restoring at least some of the faith that the fans of the franchise lost in the last several years due to a string of several poorly received movies.
The recently released trailer also confirmed that several old faces from the ‘Deadpool’ and Fox’s ‘X-Men’ franchises are going to be making a return.
According to the latest rounds of rumors, and one synopsis, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ won’t reference only old Fox’s ‘X-Men,’ it’s also going to revisit key moments from phases 1-4 and it’s going to reference The Punisher.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is the hottest upcoming MCU show. The show will finally merge Daredevil completely with the MCU and will serve kind of like a soft reboot of the character. The story is in large part unknown. We know that Murdock will be starting a new law firm, and will along the way cross paths with Wilson Fisk, as he is running for the mayor of New York.
The show has been through a lot over the course of development, including being almost completely scrapped at the point where more than half of the episodes were already filmed. The show took on a new direction following the resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike with plenty of actors from Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ reprising their roles. Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen are going to make a grand return to the show, as well as Bernthal’s Punisher.

Attention: The Following Report Is A Rumor. Please Take The Following Story With A Grain Of Salt.
The return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil has been met with much positivity from fans. The Marvel Netflix shows were fairly popular with five standalone shows with a crossover series The Defenders. Initially not fitting into Marvel’s plans the shows are now being integrated into MCU canon.
Following Cox’s return, there has been much speculation as to who may be next in returning to the world of Marvel. One of the most vocal of those is actor Finn Jones who portrayed Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist. He felt that he wasn’t able to give the character justice and wished for the chance to do so.

Well, this is a bummer. The great Louis Gossett Jr., star of An Officer and a Gentleman, Roots, Diggstown, Jaws 3D, Iron Eagle, and so many more classics, has died at age 87. According to his obit in THR, no cause of death was immediately revealed, but the actor was treated for prostate cancer in 2010, and also battled Covid-19 back in 2020.
If you grew up in the eighties and nineties, Louis Gossett Jr was one of those faces you saw everywhere.
