After watching more than a handful of clips from Strain Jr. this horror comes as no surprise to antagonistic horror tasters. Having watched most and best and of the horror genre, this film is a shallow reflection of the older class movies.
The director is basically anonymous. Positioning a poor quality photographer (probably his girl friend) in a main role denotes the very low resources these kind of shows can ever gather.
It's actually creepy and scary enough to work, in spite of the recycled plot devices. The movie offers slowly exploding brains the conspirators covering up their actions at the expense of more lives, dumb officers, and dumber townspeople. There's also lots of bloody bodies, both humans and creatures.
