The side plot, involving the Telephone booth bombings, are a real life event, that took place in the late 70's in the suburbs of Copenhagen. The bomber also exploded a bomb in bus, injuring an old lady. This is seen in the opening credits in a photo were a bomb disposal unit is entering the bus.
