I honestly didn't know what to expect when I stumbled upon this film, but it was absolutely wonderful. This movie has a great script that focuses on the extreme racism of the south in the 50s, and the strength of true friendship. It features great performances from Jason Bernard, Ja'Net DuBois and David Andrews. But the standout performances for me were Lynn Whitfield and Patricia Richardson. They were both amazing in this film and helped to really pull you into this beautifully written story. It made me cry several times, and is something I could watch again and again. If you're looking for a sign to watch this movie, this is it.
