Born in Bandung, Indonesia, Tania Gunadi moved to LA when she won a green card lottery. She began her career as an actress when a friend invited her to go along on an audition for a Disneyland commercial, where to her delight, she booked the role and was hooked on acting. Not long after that, she landed television and film roles for both live action and animation shows including Transformers Prime, Aaron Stone, The Magic of Ordinary Days, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Bizaardvark, Enlisted, Penn Zero, Trese, Pixel Perfect, DC Super Hero Girls, and Avatar Generations. Alongside her love for acting and storytelling, Tania has recently been exploring her desire to write. Having spent the last couple of years learning from professional writers, she finished her first screenplay entitled Teddy, a story about a man and his dog. That said, she is thrilled at being the winner of the 2024 Cassian Elwes Screenwriting Fellowship at the Sundance Film Festival.

Prima soon became the biggest star in Indonesian films, making a string of action/fantasy films for various studios. He made several pictures with Eva Arnaz and was briefly married to her. Famously reclusive, and somewhat ornery, he seldom gives interviews and in the few he has given often contradicts himself (many interviewers suspect he does it deliberately); he once said that he never wanted to be an actor and never made a good movie because the scripts were always so bad and the budgets were always so low, but later in the same interview he said that he enjoyed making films and liked everyone he worked with.

After several years off the screen, he played a cameo (in drag!) in Upi Avianto's "Realita Cinta dan Rock 'n Roll" (2006).

In 2007, Winky cast in Surat Untuk Ayah (2007) with Wulan Guritno, and the remake movie Badai Pasti Berlalu (2007). In the movie Badai Pasti Berlalu ever built in the era-1970 (at that time directed by Teguh Karya), Winky play with Vino G. Bastian and Slamet Rahardjo,worked on by Teddy Soeriaatmadja. Winky act as Helmy, a character who was played an antagonistic character actor Slamet Rahardjo Djarot in the original version.
