If winter is coming to Westeros, at least someone is baking treats for the occasion. That would be Hot Pie, whom viewers recently saw briefly reunite with Arya — and perhaps even remind her that there’s a world of comfort beyond her all-consuming quest for vengeance.
Now, Ben Hawkey, the actor who plays everyone’s favorite Westerosi baker, has actually opened a “Game of Thrones”–themed bakery.

Carrying the perfect name of You Know Nothing Jon Dough, the delivery-only shop can be found via Deliveroo and, like all good things, will only be around for a limited time. Its principal offering: Direwolf bread, made from whole-wheat cornbread with orange zest.

In today’s edition of life imitating art in the best way possible, Ben Hawkey, the actor who plays baking apprentice Hot Pie on Game of Thrones, has opened a bakery in real life. And if that information alone isn’t enough to make your day, there’s also this piece of joy: He named the bakery You Know Nothing, John Dough.
Hawkey, who plays Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) pal on the popular HBO series — you might remember the scene where Hot Pie made Arya a rather rustic, direwolf-molded bread in the third season — officially launched the business earlier...

On Sunday’s episode of “Game of Thrones,” Arya Stark came face-to-face with her past with two surprise encounters. The one that everyone was talking about, of course, was her unexpected reunion with her now-feral direwolf, Nymeria. But the other, less expected reunion was with her former fugitive buddy, Hot Pie, who had the pleasure of informing Arya that Jon and Sansa are alive and have taken back Winterfell. Ahead of his surprise return to the HBO hit, Hot Pie actor Ben Hawkey opened a bakery of his own on July 17 and is offering “GoT” fans in Britain some Westerosi treats.

Hungry, anyone? While you might still be lacking an appetite due to any scene involving Sam Tarly (John Bradley) from the last two episodes of Game of Thrones, you might just change your tune after hearing this news: Hot Pie opened a Game of Thrones bakery Irl! Ben Hawkey, who plays Arya's (Maisie Williams) baker apprentice friend (and just recently reappeared on the series), has opened his own business with the incredible name of "You Know Nothing John Dough." He sells direwolf-shaped breads through the UK delivery service Deliveroo—or at least he did. The breads are currently sold out, which makes sense because they sound delicious. According to the bakery's page...

Game of Thrones episode “Mockingbird” began in King’s Landing with Tyrion getting a scolding from Jamie for his off-script monologue in the courtroom in which he admitted his hatred for his late vile nephew Joffrey, his sister Cersei and father, Lord Tywin.
King’s Landing
Instead of going along with the plan Jamie (Nicolaj Coster-Waldau) had for him that would have seen Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) spared death and sent to The Wall in exchange for Jamie marrying and having sons at Casterly Rock, Tyrion demanded a Trial by Combat. Jamie can’t believe that Tyrion, known for his sometimes-ruthless pragmatism and wit, would risk losing his head for the sake of pride. He also tells his little brother that he won’t be his champion.
Though Jamie has been practicing sword fighting with his left hand with Bronn (Jerome Flynn), it’s still not good enough to hold off even the weakest of opponents.

Here’s what happened when we went to the swanky Game of Thrones season 3 UK premiere and chatted to a few of the cast members…
Spoiler-warning: The bit with Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) contains brief, oblique reference to some of her season three scenes. Non-a Song of Ice and Fire readers may wish to skip it.
Even in absence, Dame Diana Rigg has the sovereign presence to make people sit up straight and behave themselves. At the mere mention of her name, Finn Jones, the young actor who plays her on-screen grandson Ser Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones, segues from swagger to awe, following up his description of the Tyrell family in season three as “hot badass b*tches who are going to f**k s**t up” to an earnest list of “amazing”, “wonderful”, “classic legend”, and “such a privilege”. Though she portrays fan favorite Arya Stark, actress Maisie Williams admits there are drawbacks to the role. The internet is currently playing host to a great deal of anticipation. The maypole we are all dancing around is the launch of the third season of HBO’s acclaimed Game of Thrones, and the first episode of which is mere hours away.
We recently caught up with some of the cast, both old and new, to talk favourite characters, the plot so far, direwolves, Game of Thrones the musical, and even some all new memorable lines.
First up, Michelle Fairley (Catlyn Stark) plays one of the most pivotal characters in the first two series and we started by discussing Lady Stark’s motives and Game of Thrones’ portrayal of fiercely loyal and persuasive women.
Do you think Catelyn’s choices have brought the story to where it is?
I think a lot of her actions are responsible for what’s happened. She captured Tyrion Lannister and then she lost...

"Game of Thrones" returns for Season 3 on Sunday, March 31 (9 p.m. Et on HBO), and the war-torn land of Westeros will only become more brutal as we delve deeper into George R. R. Martin's meaty tale, confidently adapted by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on an increasingly epic scale.
Ahead of the show's hotly anticipated premiere on Sunday, The Huffington Post spoke with a number of stars from the series to find out what they could reveal about where we find their characters this season both at roundtable interviews and at red carpet events. Read on for a spoiler-lite preview from Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), John Bradley (Samwell Tarley), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister). In "Game of Thrones," every character counts. It's not just queens like Daenerys Targaeryen or manipulators like Varys who can bring about great change, but any small squire, orphan or soldier. That's why it was exciting to see Sibel Kekilli and Ben Hawkey on the series' Season 3 Los Angeles premiere red carpet. The two actors teased what their characters are up to in the next 10 episodes and how they'll change going forward.
Kekilli's Shae is still in King's Landing with her lover, Tyrion Lannister, despite trying to get him to leave the Westeros capital with her at the end of Season 2. She says that puts their relationship in a very tricky situation.
"The end of this second season it shows that she loves him and their feelings are real, but that means it's a weakness for Tyrion and getting dangerous more and more for her and for Tyrion," Kekilli told Zap2it.

We were one of the lucky few last night to brave the cold andattend the screening of Game of Thrones Season Three, Episode One, Valar Dohaeris and we weren’t disappointed.
The whole episode captured the essence of what we can hope to expect this season. We see powerful relationships beginning to creak under the strain of the fight for power, specifically amongst highly influential characters who historically have seemingly had control and important stakes in the Game of Thrones. The rapid bursts of scenes are wonderfully woven together giving you just enough of a re-cap of the allegiances, promises and character storylines to immerse you back into the mindset of this immensely complicated but gripping series.
Particular highlights include a damming scene between Tywin (Charles Dance) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) in which your heart really goes out to the dwarf who is, quite frankly, detested by his father. With...

Last season on Game of Thrones, the writers decided to pair two characters together for several scenes that were not in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels: A captive young Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) working as a servant for the fearsome Lannister patriarch Tywin (Charles Dance), who doesn’t realize her true royal identity. The move could have backfired. They were lengthy chatty two-characters-in-a-room scenes between a then-14 year-old actress with no prior acting experience before Thrones and a 65-year-old British stage and screen veteran. Instead, they were among fans’ favorite moments of the season,...

The "Game of Thrones" theme may not have any words, but that doesn't mean you can't sing it, right?
MTV Geek challenged "Game of Thrones" castmembers to sing the theme at the Season 3 premiere on Monday.
In the video above, enjoy the efforts of Ben Hawkey (Hot Pie), Esme Biano (Ros), Maise Williams (Arya Stark), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister), Carice van Houten (Melisandre), Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Michelle Fairey (Catelyn Stark), and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), who claimed he's actually the one who recorded the theme for the show.
This wasn't Williams's, 'Hempstead-Wright's or Turner's first time doing their own musical take on the "Game of Thrones" theme: The Stark children rapped and beatboxed the intro in an extra on the Season 2 DVD/Blu-ray.

My favorite character
“Garden of Bones” Air Date: 4/22/12
Another week, and another two locations are added to the ever widening map of Westeros and beyond. Arya and company find themselves enslaved at the accursed Harrenhal, while after a week layover, Daenerys and her starving followers reach the greatest city that ever was or ever will be: Qarth (pronounced Karth, not Quarth, Daeny, jeez).
The action begins, at night, with two hapless guardsmen yapping and gossiping about the realm, and ends with their bodies lifeless on the muddy earth. Chalk it up to another victory for the King of the North, Robb Stark, with Grey Wind – his direwolf – leading the way. In the morning, bodies are littered everywhere, and Robb’s taken with the feisty and fearless Doreah (Roxanne McKee) – a woman on neither side – helping the wounded. We’ll be seeing more of her.

Game of Thrones He kinda sucks. “The Night Lands” Air Date: 4/8/12
Arya Stark (still dressed as a boy and mostly pulling it off), Baratheon’s bastard Gendry (Joe Dempsie), and Dumb and Dumber themselves – Lommy Greenhands (Eros Vlahos) and Hot Pie (Ben Hawkey) – bicker on their way to the Night’s Watch. That is, until the Royal Guard arrive with a warrant out for someone among their group. Arya immediately thinks they’re after her, but they’re really after Gendry, but no one knows why (except us). Yoren (Francis Magee) threatens the lives of the guard, and sends them on their way, but it’s clear they will be back, with more men. And now Gendry has a target on his back amongst the group, and he’s Arya’s only friend. Uh oh.
