- Actor
- Additional Crew
- Producer
Actor Martin Harris currently co-stars in writer/director David O. Russell's star-studded 1930s murder mystery, Amsterdam. He also recently portrayed a Czech police officer in Netflix's edgy international thriller, The Gray Man; he co-starred opposite Colin Firth in The Staircase biographical crime series; he played a German bartender opposite Tony Dalton in the final season of Better Call Saul; and he's one of actor David Harbour's fellow prisoners in a Soviet gulag in the latest season of the acclaimed science fiction series Stranger Things.
A native of Wroclaw, Poland, Martin started his career as an international sportswriter, broadcaster and author, with a specialty in NBA basketball. Not only did he write a best-selling book about the Los Angeles Lakers, but he credits the late Kobe Bryant for giving him the salient advice to follow his dreams and become an actor.
Prior to Bryant's advice, Martin got a quick dose of film history when he became fascinated with a DVD set of the twenty-five best movies of all time. That combined with a passion for James Bond movies and the cinema of Robert De Niro led him to become an actor in Hollywood.
After studying intensely at the Stella Adler Theater and the Beverly Hills Playhouse, Martin began to land gradually larger roles in major television and film productions. These included the part of Lt. Nikolai Zybulski, a primary adversary in TNT's The Last Ship post-apocalyptic series; a Croatian agent in the controversial feature The Hunt; and a prison tower sharpshooter in Red Notice.
When he isn't working in film and television, Martin loves rock music (he once headlined a heavy metal band called Army of Darkness back in Poland), and he also does significant voice work for computer and video games - one of those voices is fan-favorite "Krueger," the beloved character on Call of Duty.
