- Jordan Silver has been a journalist and television producer since the early 1990s.
Currently he is the president, executive producer and senior project manager of Ag Media Solutions, Inc. He also works for ABCNEWS.com.
In 1988, he started as a producer and journalist at WKRB-FM where he worked as a news and sports reporter, disc jockey and talk show host.
In 1990, his focus shifted to television. At WNYF-TV, a Dunkirk and Fredonia (Western New York) cable station he was the assistant general manager and senior producer on various programming. He was also the anchor and managing editor for the local news. During this time he wrote and directed the documentary, "The Unsung Heroes", a short documentary film that aired from 1992-1993.
From 1993-1999, he worked for Globalvision, a New York City television production company. Among the many productions he worked on was the PBS newsmagazine, Rights & Wrongs: Human Rights Television (1994-1996). He filed numerous stories including an investigation of child labor practices by major corporations and how the celebrities who endorse them can be held morally liable (featuring interviews with Kathie Lee Gifford and former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich). He also worked on many documentaries including 1995's Yellow Wasps: Anatomy of a War Crime (an analysis of ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia) and 1998's Globalization & Human Rights (PBS). Later that year, he traveled to China to produce China: Change & Challenge, an analysis of China's economic reforms since 1978. In 1999, he was a producer and videographer on Richard Speck: Born To Raise Hell for COURT TV's Crime Stories series. This documentary detailed the 1966 murder of eight student nurses and the "life and crimes" of Richard Speck.
From 1999-2000 he oversaw multi-media productions for a "Silicon Alley" based public relations and marketing firm.
From 2000-2001 he was a producer for CBS syndicated late night programming.
He joined ABCNews as a video designer in 2003.
In 2000 he completed his first screenplay "Wall." He is currently working on two additional screenplays and a situation comedy pilot.
