Christine Talbot(I)

Began her journalist career on local newspapers before joining the BBC as a reporter on BBC North West Tonight (1984).

It is a weird thing to say and I'm not glad that I had [breast] cancer, but I am glad I had the experience. I feel so much more positive about life, having come through such an awful experience. It has taught me about the kindness of people and what matters in life. (December 2012)
