Pamela Edwards McClafferty is a writer, bestselling novelist, award winning film producer, and fashion designer who was listed in Women's Wear Daily Best of New York. Presently, Pamela has written the book and lyrics to the musical, Artland, collaborating with Grammy Award Winning composer, Stanley Clarke, who also was chosen as the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master 2022.
Owen Laster represented Pamela's novel, In The Name Of Todd. It became a best seller, renamed Inherit the Storm and Michael Landon optioned the novel for a mini series.
Pamela and Mark McClafferty founded Spellbound Pictures in 1996. They put together a $60 Million Production financing deal with Canal Plus of Paris and Isambard Productions of New Zealand. With Mark McClafferty, Tom Parkinson and Robert Rea, Pamela produced The Climb, starring John Hurt, Gregory Smith and David Strathairn. It won the Berlin Film Festival UNICEF Award, as well as eight other international awards.
Pamela has been involved in the careers of several comedians including Katt Williams. She was executive producer/producer of "Katt Williams Live". The special included a five minute documentary about the political climate in Cincinnati where the special was filmed.
