There are just too many I want to nominate :)
How about House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. I've had this book for awhile and I know it's on a bunch of people's all time favorites shelf.

Good pick, this was an incredibly awesome book! Definitely horror too, there were some parts that were real nail-biters! If I hadn't read it already I'd vote for it.

Sorry for the delay - I was out of town this weekend. I looked up Secret Circle and it doesn't appear to be a horror book. I'm sure it will fit in with a future theme though so keep it in mind.
I've been wanting to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Not sure if it qualifies just because it has zombies. It sounds like it might be pretty funny along with the gore. What do you guys think?
Maybe too late for the list, but maybe next one? How about World War Z by Max Brooks. An amazing and very scary book...
I've set up the poll - it will be open through the end of the month...

There were so many people who voted on the last poll and hardly anyone is voting for the horror poll! Come on people!
And I think I'll have to change my vote. :)

I KNOW HUH! I've been a little sad with the turn out considering how many votes we've gotten in the past. But then if we're only getting votes from people that are planning/thinking about reading the book it's ok. We just might have to pick the top 2 and run another poll.
I don't personally read horror anymore. I did when I was a teenager, but anything creepier than UF and my overactive imagination wreaks havok.
So I did vote for the one of 2 books on the list that I'd consider reading myself.

We ended up having a clear winner for our Horror Themed book...
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
I'm really excited because it's been on my To Read list since it was released and I've heard some great things.
Discussions will start on 11/1 so that gives everyone 2 months to read it before we start talking about it. Happy Reading!

I read this book when it came out. I am interested in hearing everyone's opinion. I enjoyed it very much but it seems that this is a book where you either love it or hate it.
