Oh so any sentimental tears! I love a story that can move me so much. Heartstrings galore. Mostly on the sweet and happy side.
Contemporary former bad boy turned family man romance. Dripping with emotion. 7th book in the Wyoming Rebel series. Can be read as a standalone.
They wanted only to protect her so pushed her away and out of town to college. Instead of feeling protected, she felt abandoned and alone. This cowboy is smart. Ryder. He opens up to her. Explains his feelings and reasoning. And pleads with her to rethink her experience from a different viewpoint. Stupid brother needed shaking to wake up even though he already found love and acceptance. Backslide there.
Love, love, love this family of wounded protector men turned into amazing beautiful people. I’m grateful the author didn’t push this storyline just to get it completed. It was worth the wait.
Excerpt: “Ryder inhaled at the sound of her voice, and something deep inside him vibrated, almost violently. He'd missed her. Hell, he'd missed her so much that his chest actually hurt. Travis pushed Chase aside to embrace her. Then Maddox. His brothers encircled her, welcoming her, asking her about her trip, when she'd arrived, where she was staying. He didn't move. His feet were stuck to the floor, his legs frozen as he listened to her talk, letting the sound of her voice wash over him. He'd forgotten what her voice felt like, how deeply it touched him, how much he'd yearned to hear it.” Excerpt From A Real Cowboy Always Trusts His Heart by Stephanie Rowe

Audy and Brooke have never been friends but they manage to tolerate each other for their best friends. An accident has made Audy and Brooke guardians of baby Joy. They must set aside their issues and be the best co-parents they can be.
Sweet and charming. Some sad tears in the beginning but tender joy by the end.
Audy is an adult but seems to have little responsibility. It really took awhile for me to warm up to him. It’s his caring and protectiveness of Joy that finally won me over. Of course, the baby is absolutely adorable in this story.

A beautifully written contemporary romance that made me cry several times. Happy, emotional tears. 5th Book Ruff Around the Edges by Roxanne St Claire
A beautifully written contemporary romance that made me cry several times. Happy, emotional tears. 5th Book in the Dogfather series. Can be read as a standalone. The town of Better Bark is dog friendly. What a great concept. And it’s no surprise that the one business that doesn’t allow pets is struggling. And knowing the history of the dog rescues, I knew there would be more to Ruff than just a big goofball. G rated. At least in terms of the physical. The emotional elements? Have the Kleenex ready. I loved the hero. An honorable gentleman relearning his family and life purpose. His emotional reactions whenever he sees Beck are endearing.
Excerpt: “She lifted her chin and looked at him, probably unaware that at that very moment, he could see the resemblance to her brother as strongly as ever. It was something in the color of her eyes. More than the color. The spark. In Charlie, it had been fun and warm and a precursor to something that would make Aidan crack up. In her, it was pretty and feminine and a precursor to something that made him want to find out what it would feel like to kiss her. A lot. Often. And for a really long time.” Excerpt From Ruff Around the Edges by Roxanne St. Claire This material may be protected by copyright.

Lizzie Vega is hoping a trained K-9 will help with her PTSD but a storm on the way to pickup Sierra has her nerves raw and jumpy. Hayden Mitchell realizes that the woman in the parking lot needs a bit of help but he really wants Sierra to find a forever home. Getting stuck at his ranch because of washed out roads will give them all time to connect and assess.
The adorable toddle steals every scene. And if not the child, then certainly the emotional support dogs Sierra and Charley. I couldn’t imagine going through the trauma that was in Lizzie’s past but I’m glad to know that the K-9 programs are real and available to help. The story was romantic and sweet and everything you want in a happily ever after. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Book 4 in the Alaska Heat series. Contemporary Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone. Previous events and characters are mentioned in this book so it might feel like you want to know their stories or more about an event. I have not read the previous books and had no problem following the story. I do want to go backwards and read the previous books in the series after reading this.
Fast paced, engrossing and a thrilling story. Romantic and inspiring. The heroine has had a lot of trauma in her past. She’s scared but strong enough to overcome those events and grow and be comfortable in trusting friends.
Excerpt: “Protectiveness surged through him, a fierce need to keep her safe, to free her spirit to soar again. A smile flickered across her face. "You look so intense right now." "I've decided to keep you safe." He hadn't meant to say it, and he sure as hell hadn't intended to say it like he was staking a caveman claim on her well-being, but that's what came out. She stared at him, then suddenly, a smile flooded her face, lighting up her eyes with a sparkle that seemed to reach right into his core and rip all his shields away. "Thank you for saying that. I have the same goal for myself.” Excerpt From BURN By Stephanie Rowe

I appreciated the hero so much in this book because he was clear on his intentions and his feelings. He missed her and wanted to try again. No hidden agenda that didn’t match. Plus the two openly discussed problems. I enjoyed the siblings appearances on both sides and look forward to their upcoming stories. I love the closeness of the familiar relationships.

A Real Cowboy Never Says No by Stephanie Rowe
Powerful. A tear jerker in a good way. Not sad tears, but emotional ones. I loved this story and am so looking forward to the next in the series. Strong men with deep emotional scars that only a strong woman can help them heal.
Mira Cabot and Chase Stockton have know each other for ten years but never actually met. It was their best friend that they had in common. Now that AJ is gone and his powerful father is a threat to Mira, Chase puts Mira under his protection. His instinct says it's the right thing to do. Chase's brothers won't understand, but Chase can't seem to resist her and it feels so right to have her in his arms.
An emotional, heart touching romance. ——————————————————————— A Real Cowboy Knows How to Kiss by Stephanie Rowe
You know that book where everything just clicks? Where the romance is like the first time you fell in love? Where the emotions are fragile, yet strong? Where you just sigh in pure pleasure? This is exactly what I felt in reading Steen and Erin's story. Yes, I'm a bit smalsty but the feel good part of a romance is part of why I love the. So much. This was a really great romance that I truly enjoyed. It goes on my Keeper shelf.
Steen Stockton is just out of prison. He knows he's not good enough for Erin Chambers, but he can't help being drawn to her. He's known her since grade school and has always been fascinated and strengthened by her goodness. Erin has had fantasies about Steen since she was a teenager and she is taking her chances in living them out. Let the future take care of itself. She's going to live in the moment. —————————————————————————
A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle by Stephanie Rowe
Self sacrifice. Letting love go because they deserve the best. A tear jerker in the best way until the happily ever after. A highly emotional contemporary romance that I loved from beginning to end.
Taylor Shaw is alone now that her best friend is getting married. She'll visit for a couple of weeks until the wedding then go back to her corporate job. She's fine alone. Really. Zane Stockton hasn't spent more than one night in the same bed since the age of fifteen. No ties to anyone. No committing to people. That's his way of life. Taylor and Zane end up in the same bunkhouse on the family ranch and connect emotionally. Maybe they aren't alone. At least for this week.

Lyndi and Levi have known each other for hundreds of years. Now he’s been called to serve the Gold King in the wars and the two finally verbalize their attraction. But neither wants to admit the depth of their longing. Beyond just these two principles, are dragon wars between colors and political groups and some gruesome fighting battles. Protect the family. Protect the colonies. Fight for the freedom against a political agenda.
Angst and denial. My angst because they just needed to talk to each other! 200+ of wasted years. But I guess there wouldn’t be a story otherwise. My denial that compelled me to keep reading a premise I can’t stand. The not talking and politics! Dragon politics though so nothing you’ll hear about beyond this world. A little too much blood and gizzards in the fighting for me. It is a romance so you know ...love and lots of lustiness.
Captivating and thrilling and a bit sentimental.
The epilogue makes is a cliffhanger so don’t read that if that’s an issue.

Grady Amos is the last single man in his family now that all his brothers have married. He’s never been in love and they all seem so happy. Doesn’t he deserve his own special someone? When a tv show producer starts flirting with Grady, he thinks she’s interested in him, but instead she asks him to marry someone else! She is interested but apparently the job comes first and she needs him as a filler on Tying the Knot, a reality show where contestants meet their soulmate. Since Grady knows his part in the show isn’t real, he picks the woman most likely to say no to his proposal, his opposite in every way. Except she doesn’t say no, and Grady finds himself on a honeymoon with a stranger. With cameras following them everywhere. Aja Kermani was convinced to be on the tv show because of the complex and extensive questions and interviews and psych evaluations. With a 50% success rate, she goes in believing there has to be good science between their pairings. Plus, this way, her family can’t pressure her anymore to marry the man they’ve chosen for that she has only lukewarm feelings for. She wants passion and a soulmate kind of love. Paired with Grady, who has his own business hours away while she’s built a successful dental practice in Los Angeles, must mean there is something more than compatible between them. As they spend more time together, she thinks maybe they do have something special. What happens next?
A budding romance, family drama, and twists make this story compelling though I’m not of fan of deliberate deceit. The whole tv aspect made it a fun premise to start with and Grady does falls in love completely which saved this story for me. It’s a promise of a future to come.
Different versions of this book came with different bonus stories. I’ve read the main story only so far. ...more

Historical romance. 2nd book in the Union of the Rakes series. Can be read as a stand-alone. Commoner poses as high society to keep her family business running. Falling is love wasn’t part of the plan. Nevertheless love happened.
Emotionally satisfying and beautifully written, this romance is heartbreaking and enriching. I fell in love with the Duke who had a soft heart and was essentially a nice and generous person. I fell in love with the heroine who was extremely intelligent in finance and business, who also had a soft spot for the handsome Duke. Their collision course was steamy, sexy and entertaining.
I’ve never read this author before and I was highly impressed by the engaging pace and likability of both the main and secondary characters. While historical romance is not generally on my list, I will definitely look for more books by this author.

A sensuous story. A historical story of a dynasty. Sad, tempting, hopeful and a bit erotic.

Hattie and Forrest have been friends forever. When Hattie’s brother tells her he’s engaged to Hattie’s high school nemesis, she feels sick. Forrest will do anything to stop Hattie from crying. If that means he holds her hand at dinner and tells people that they are dating, it’s the least he can do. And she’ll support him when his brother commits himself to the armed forces. Support turns to caring.
Emotional, sweet, heartwarming and sigh worthy. This couple has a beautiful friendship that blooms. Of course, there are stumbles. That’s part of life. Mooney-eyed. That’s what I am. Mooney-eyed over this author, series and romance.
