A thin line between love and fake …

Firefighter Wiley Alexander is known as the charming playboy of Kimbell, Texas. But despite his many relationships, he’s never fallen in love. Determined to discover why, he uses his computer savvy and artificial intelligence to find the secret to true love. Instead of using it for himself, he packages the research and launches an online dating app. As the app grows in popularity, he lands a feature on a popular love guru's vlog.

Only one problem. Wiley told the vlogger he met his fiancé through the dating app! Now he has three weeks to find a woman crazy enough to go along with his ruse.

Successful business mogul Zaire Kincaid is single-handedly dominating the real estate industry in Kimbell, Texas. But her love life is perpetually DOA, and she's the last of her siblings to find true love. Her family, friends, and the whole town constantly badger her about when she'll get married. When her sister decides to have her wedding in their hometown, Zaire's family is eager to meet Zaire's mystery boyfriend.

Only one problem. Zaire made him up! Just when she desperately needs a date to her sister's wedding, Wiley Alexander shows up with an offer she can't refuse.

When news of Wiley and Zaire's "engagement" spreads through the town, they instantly become #relationship goals! The more time they spend together, the more they struggle to separate their fake actions from the real feelings developing between them.

But when an unexpected complication ends their fake engagement, they are left with broken hearts.

Will the magic of the holidays help them look past their flaws and the expectations of others to see the true love that exists between them?

Faking Love is a fake engagement, holiday sweet romantic comedy within A Kimbell Texas Sweet Romances—a series of stand-alone novels that celebrate diverse characters, explore unforgettable challenges, and guarantee a satisfying happily-ever-after.

Started off great with lovable characters. But the plot took a nosedive towards the end. The conflict was resolved but still irritated me. Ends with a HFN.

This is Book 3 in the Kimbell Texas Sweet Romances. Wiley is known as the town playboy, never having really experienced love. He decides to find the secret of true love and develops an online dating app. The app becomes very popular and when he is interviewed about it's success, he claims to have met his fiance through the app. Only problem is, he doesn't really have a fiance. Now he needs to find someone to go along with the deception. Zaire is in a similar predicament. She has a successful career, but her love life is pretty much nonexistent. When she has to come back home for a wedding, she lets it slip she has a boyfriend to keep her family from pestering her about settling down. Looks like her and Wiley could really use each other's help and so begins their fake engagement. But what starts out fake develops into something very real, but misconceptions and misunderstandings could threaten the special bond developing between them. Are they willing to look past expectations and let their guard down long enough to see what's right in front of them?
This was an entertaining and sweet story with lovely characters who I fell in love with from the start. The story is enjoyable with plenty of laughs and fun moments and I am glad to have had the opportunity to read it.
I received a complimentary copy from StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Actions always speak louder than words…

Self-doubt can block you from your perfect love match – yet friends and family tend to see what is real and what mustn’t be true.

This really was a terrific story with wonderful characters but what exasperated me was how Zaire could withhold pertinent information from Wiley for no apparent reason but I guess that’s what builds plots and extends the drama. I suppose that life is too often like that when a bit of withheld information produces a lot of misconceptions. Personally, I wasn’t comfortable with that but surely others will disagree. More often than not, most people are led by their head and not by their heart which results in life’s ups and downs.

The book is very well written. However, a different style type might have worked better in order to distinguish between spoken dialogue and inner thoughts. There were some unexpected events that added interest and suspense and of course, who could not fall in love with someone like Wiley. The town of Kimble was portrayed as very close-knit and open-hearted. I would certainly be eager to read about Darren (Wiley’s best friend) and his love connection in the next of series…I received an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Faking Love
I am a first time reader of Angel S. Vane and most definitely a fan now. I like to find stories with a twist. Our main characters Zaire and Wiley decide to participate in the fake engagement relationship each having their own reasons.
I don’t want to spoil the twist but let’s just say that Zaire and Wiley are adorable as a couple. Zaire is the serious successful business woman and doesn’t trust her judgement when it comes to relationships and doesn’t want to be dateless at her sister’s wedding. Wiley is a fireman and is looking to promote a relationship app he developed and lies that he meet his fiancé using his app and so he convinces his friend to be his fake fiancé.
This is a sweet love story that shows the fears of letting your guard down and how rewarding it can be to let go and take risks for love.
This story is full of laughs and fun. I enjoyed Zaire and Wiley story and look forward to reading more of Ms. Vane books.

Trying to Fake Love

The couple tried to fake a love match to satisfy their personal needs to fool various ppl. But along the way, the couple caught feelings. Faking love became hard to fake. Local playboy, and totally gorgeous hunk, Wiley Alexander-who has caught the attention of females since he was an infant. He has earned a reputation, and the townsfolk will think that Zaire Kincaide is just another woman that will get her heart broken by Wiley. The author presents a compelling story for these two unlikely ppl to go thru this journey together. The story is very clean; but the characters consume excessive alcohol.

This was a hard read

The two main characters are written in a way to frustrated. They both Are described as very intelligent but But don't think things through, And Make rash and convoluted decisions. To be honest This book could have been Cut in half and it would have made more sense. I was annoyed with the story when I was 24% though the book. Most of the first part of the book I kept asking myself WHY, because of the decisions they was making, down right do Idiotic.

Taking Chances With Love!

What's the odds of an A\I dating app getting a real romance started? Very good when all the love and romance data were already there! Take a chance and get this wonderful read. You will love the Characters AND the Book!

I don’t believe in dating apps.

It’s refreshing to read a book with a success female with millions. This genre tends toward rich men and mediocre women looking for an upgrade. Wiley is adorable as a firefighter & nerd and Zaire is comfortable in her skin.

Loved it. Wiley and Zaire made a great couple just wished they talked more about what was going on. So many times I was like just say what you feel. Glad everything worked out in the end though.
