Some secrets can’t stay buried.

When I first attended Wolf Moon Academy, the Blood Council and heirs did everything they could to make Liam reject me. I was beneath their status, but much to their chagrin… I persevered.

Now that we’re officially bound, they’re determined to get rid of me. After each failed attempt, they up the stakes. Nothing is off the table.

But I'm determined to take back what is rightfully mine and do what they refuse to do -- protect the packs... as long as they don't kill me first.

If you can't get enough of books by K.F. Breene, Kelly St. Claire, Annette Marie, Shannon Mayer, Leia Stone, Jaymin Eve, and Laura Thalassa, then you'll love this paranormal romance.

***Please note this is not reverse harem and there are instances of bullying.

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.

My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.

I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.

I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes.

Goosebumps....the ending gave me goosebumps!

Redeemed! Liam and Evan are completely redeemed in my book! They come to full Alpha status for this reader. Finally, they see what their fathers have created and are hell bent to do something about it. Great storyline! Exciting! Shocking! Just exceptional! Simon and Micah have a long way to go, but there is hope.

Now Mia on the other hand, I expected more from her is this book. If she is of the same power or more than the heirs she has not shown it yet. She has such potential to be a top FMC but is falling a bit short for me. Perhaps Grey's thought was to bring the boys around to Mia's way of thinking in book 2 and we will see Mia shine in book 3.

Great read!!!

Happy reading,

This book was better then the first.

The characters redeem themselves and we some growth for them all. Mia is still strong as ever, and she’s finding out more about her past and the Council.

The world building is unique with the supernatural world and how humans cannot see it. You have different supernatural species, and it’s interesting to see how it all functions.

The plot gets even more intense and complicated as Mia learns how corrupt the Council truly is and how there needs to be change. And at the end, war and conflict begins to brew.

Off to the next book!

Still not my favorite, but enjoyable. I haven't really loved anyone, but the story still has me intrigued. I find it hard to forgive some of their cruelty and stupidity and yet I still want to know what happens to them. Nothing more that I can really say about it. It is what it is.

Wowwww

I am loving this series so much!! Jen L. Grey absolutely did an amazing job with these. This storyline sucked me in I cannot get enough.

This one picks up right where book 1 left off so much drama from the Heirs and the council poor Mia and Liam can’t catch a break. I really really wanted to hate Liam after book one but he now has my heart! The two of them are so perfect together!

This book puts them through the ringer deception, betrayal within the packs and straight up attacks left and right! I can’t wait for book3!! I am totally addicted to these books and I need more.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Blood Legacy is the second book in the Wolf Moon Academy series and it was great. The first book in the series I enjoyed but I loved this one. The characters are developing more, the plot has gotten all twisty-turny, I was highly entertained.

Mia is still the tough compassionate person she was in the previous book but she is learning more about the shifter world. Her growing up around humans with caring and compassionate parents in a healthy pack she didn't realize how the rest of the shifter society worked but after being at the academy and then visiting some other cities Mia is starting to realize that the shifters (especially the Blood Council ) have gotten totally off track and that things need to change. She's starting to embrace her destiny and is ready to take her rightful place in their world. Mia's letting her alpha out, she's not backing down and stand-up not only for herself but other shifters as well and it's great.

In Shadow Mate the characters were good but I didn't get a real sense of them except for Mia. This time around I got to know the heirs better and find that they are more complex than I originally thought. For example Mia's mate Liam, I hated him after the first book and I didn't see how he could redeem himself but dude did a one-eighty. Liam totally redeems himself in this book and dare I say, that I even like him now. He is very supportive and caring with Mia, he is putting in the effort with not only her but with those she cares about. It shows a whole new side to him, one that I like and want to continue to see. With Mia by his side, he is starting to realize the issues with how he was raised and issues in society in general. Liam is trying to overcome everything he was taught, all the negativity, and see things in a new light. The best part is that he is doing this on his own with only Mia asking the right questions occasionally.

As for the other heirs, Evan was already on his way to improving and I like him, Micah needs to work on a lot but Simon is a psychopath (this is not dramatized) and I didn't realize how much until this book. I come to realize the different ways the heirs were raised and how they became the way they did and it makes sense that they would act the way they do. Each is starting to come to terms with a new view of their world and it's not easy, it's how they are reacting that makes me feel like there is hope for them.

The guys redeeming themselves is really a big part of this story and it helps drive the story forward, making it really compelling, seeing the moment when the guys start to realize things aren't right. Also, there is Mia taking control of situations, figuring out what's going on, and trying to educate the guys. Another plot-point is the Blood Council themselves, what exactly happened in the past, how the heirs and the council interactions will proceed, and what exactly are they up to now.

I love Blood Legacy even more than Shadow Mate, it was a quick read filled with, action, steam, betrayal, politics, more on shifter society, a couple of plot twists, and redemption (or at least the beginning of redemption). The really enjoyed the Blood Legacy, I was highly entertained and I am very invested in how this story goes and can't wait to see how it ends. Wolf Moon Academy is planned as a trilogy so there is only one book left and I am ready for it, up next is Rising Fate.

I received this book from the author for voluntary review.

This was another wonderful story from Jen Grey. This is a continuation of the Shadow Mate story where the heirs learn a bit more about what is going on with their people. They go on a trip to meet with the Alphas of the main regions and find horror where ever they go and it troubles them. They have a showdown with the males of their families and now they really have to watch their backs. I am really looking forward to the next story.

Talk about major turn arounds. You know when you think you understand something, then you get a new piece of information and suddenly you think 'oh wow I knew nothing before and now I'm a genius'. That's how this book read. It's great. Hopefully the tone stays the same for the next book. This one is less centered on Mia, though still rightfully about her journey. And we meet the other alphas. It's worth the read, for sure.

I really enjoyed the "on the move" feel of this one with the trips to all the territories. We get to see the future leaders and how they react to how each of their territories are being run. Mia is still being held in check from her big reveal. Can't wait for that. Mia and Liam's relationship solidifies even more in this one. Mia is showing her strengths to the group just as the future leaders start to show their strong will to their fathers.

The other three boys and Liam are sent on a mission that turns out different than what the council planned.

This second installment of the series is phenomenal. There is so much chemistry between Mia and Liam, but even better are the bonds building and reforming amongst the heirs as a whole. The plot twist and turns with added angst and trials woven throughout. There are some big secrets revealed but still some hiding. The book ended on a great hook, and I cant wait for what comes next!

Blood Legacy by Jen L. Grey is the second book in the Wolf Moon Academy series. It is a paranormal coming of age romance that picks right up where book one left off. As of this writing it is available in the Kindle store for $4.99 or for free with Kindle Unlimited.

Mia is back and she’s just settling into her fated mate bond with Liam. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who would do anything – and I do mean anything – in order to break that bond. The vast majority of the book is just the two fighting their family and friends to stay together. There is also a new added twist of Mia coming to terms with her own bloodline that seems like a quiet secondary plot, but in book three it will come to the forefront.

Using the word ‘just’ makes that battle sound boring, but it’s written so well that you kind of start to hate the antagonists. Liam and Mia belong together. While I still had a bad taste in my mouth when it came to Liam’s behavior in the first book, by this book he is all in on their relationship. (I don’t feel that’s a spoiler considering at the end of book one you pretty much knew this.) His personality is also in full recovery mode considering what a jerk he was in book one. Honestly, I feel like this book showed a lot of personal growth on his part and I absolutely loved it.

As for the rest of Liam’s crew, it’s a work in progress. It’s a huge job and some of Mia’s reactions to situations seemed slightly unrealistic. I don’t know anyone who could shrug off an attempt on her life, but she does…more than once.

Honestly, the further we get in the series Mia is becoming a confusing character for me. Sometimes I think she’s this badass heroine who isn’t going to take shit off of anybody, and other times I feel like she’s a pushover who will forgive anything and everything to keep the peace. It’s a personality dynamic that just doesn’t feel right to me. Don’t get me wrong on the whole I like her; I just wish she felt more like one character instead of two at times.

The pacing of this book is perfect. The grammar doesn’t jump out and attack you like snaggle-toothed python. There are a few typos, but nothing that will distract you from the story. Speaking of the story, it keeps you hooked. Even if there are some little things that make it imperfect you still want to read it until the end.

All in all, I give it a 4/5 for the same reason I gave the first book a 4/5 – Mia is too forgiving. There is no real conflict between the couple over past behavior. Girl, you need to make him work for it a bit. Liam was a jerk, and he needs Mia to set boundaries, but she doesn’t really do it. Sometimes she tries, but she ends up giving him his way.

I also love how this author does a good job of creating a conflict arc for each book in the series. The series seems to be working towards the same end goal, but each installment really can stand on its own in terms of conflict arc. In that arc she does a masterful job of weaving in the breadcrumbs for the next installment.

I would definitely recommend this series to my friends. I would say I can’t wait to read book three, but that would be a lie. I was addicted I stayed up last night until after midnight reading it. I’m a book addict and I won’t be going to meetings about it. Sleep is overrated.

WARNING!!! This is book 2 in the Wolf Moon Academy Trilogy, and this review could contain spoilers for book 1. You will also need to have read book 1 in order to understand this book!!

In “Blood Legacy” you continue to follow Mia and Liam in their struggle to get his family to accept their bond. But when Mia’s life is threatened by someone on the council, they start to wonder if they should reveal Mia’s true identity. As she slowly proves herself to each of the heirs, they all start to question who has been leading them for years. What happens when the truth is revealed and the world they thought they knew starts to unravel all its lies?

So, I can wholeheartedly say that I enjoyed this book way, way more than book one. I was really nervous after book one that this series would be a DNF for me, but this book completely changed my mind. So, here is what I liked and disliked about “Blood Legacy”...
•I absolutely loved the change in Liam in this book. In the first book he was an abusive, alpha asshole, but in this book he makes it really hard to hold that against him. Not only did he stop fighting the bond, but you could also tell how hard he tried to fix himself to be good for her. He stopped being jealous with her guy friends (for the most part), he made an effort with his sister, he stood up for her against the other heirs(manly Simon). I also loved how she grew closer to Evan and Micah in this book. Then there’s Simon, well Simon is a damn sociopath.
•I would love to see them all grow closer in book 3 and I am so excited to read it. This book definitely restored my hope in the series.

I would definitely recommend this book and there is a great chance I will be reading it again!😊 Overall I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see we’re fate takes Mia, Liam, and their friends.

I received this as a free ARC copy via the author, however I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

My only complaint about this book was the length! We pretty much only got one plot line with our characters. The beginning begins with high energy when Mia ends up in a situation but then it jumps to fall break where all the Heirs and Mia travel to 4 different cities within the different regions to meet some of the alphas. At every location, there’s something off about how the alphas are operating their territories. Mia is slowly winning over the other heirs and the heirs are learning that things aren’t what they seem.

The content was very good and well written but I wish we would have got more of it, especially once they got back to moon academy. The ending was quick but I have a prediction of what’s happening so I’m curious to see how it ends in book 3.

Characters are evolving -
• Mia is learning to stand up for herself and find her strength to become an alpha
• Liam had done a complete change and is 100% committed to being a good Mate. He’s learning to separate from his father and have his own thoughts. He’s deciding who he wants to be as an alpha.
• the Heirs are also having some rude awakenings about what they thought was true. Evan is full on body guard/healer for Mia and I love it! Micah is coming around for the sake of the bigger picture....then there’s Simon! I think Simon has a hidden past that we will learn in the next book that is worse than the other heirs so it’s harder for him to separate from his father and how he was raised
• Bree wasn’t as involved in this book which was a little sad. I was hoping she would become more developed as a character and have some more dimension. I’m hoping she’ll be apart of book 3

‘Blood Legacy’ is book two in Jen L. grey’s Wolf Moon Academy series. This is a continuation on from ‘Shadow Mate’.

Learning who her father is, bonding with her fated mate, surviving an attack from a Blood Council Heir and finding out who she really is, Mia has had her life turn upside down since attending Wolf Moon Academy. Finding your fated mate is supposed to be a blissful and joyous experience, but having quality time with Liam isn’t going to be easy with the Council trying to break them up. Being mated isn’t the only thing in jeopardy, Mia’s life is also at risk.

I thought book one was such an exhilarating read, but this one tops it. The growth between the characters is an enjoyable experience to witness. Watching the dynamic between Liam, Evan and Mia was wonderful, Mia is being accepted by one Heir at a time. I do feel that with how loyal and trustworthy Evan was in this book that he should be part of the secret of who Mia is, hopefully when the truth comes out he doesn’t feel betrayed.

So much happens in this book, that it makes it hard to write this review without giving away spoilers. But I can say this, go ahead and read this series it fast paced with mystery, secrets, hidden agendas, romance, and bonding moments. I’m super excited to read ‘Rising Fate’ can’t wait for February to come so I can get my hands on it to see what is going to come next for The Blood Council Heirs.

Recommended for mature readers as there is s*x scenes between the MC, this is not a reverse harem.

I don’t know guys, I’m just not a fan of this series. Personally, I think the major reason is that I never found Liam or any of the other heirs for that matter, to be sympathetic at all. I think it would have helped immensely if the book was written from multiple POVs, not just Mia’s. Had I known from the first book why Liam was such an arrogant ass, and what was on his mind, I may have developed more sympathy for him and understood his motives, which would have prevented me from hating him so much. But he was such an awful character for so long that by the time events unfolded that should have put him in a better light, I didn’t give a shit about him.

For some reason, I never warmed up to Mia either. So plowing through 2 books when you don’t really like anybody is too much of a chore for me. The only 2 people I care about at all, and would like to see them find their mates is Kai (I actually loved him) and for some odd reason, Evan. I felt for him when his father roughed him up during the game in the first book. I also thought he redeemed himself pretty quickly.

I most likely won’t even bother with the third book. If I do, it won’t be for a long while. I have so many other books on my “to read” list that there’s no point in spending any time on something That fails to really capture my attention.

🔵Overall opinion & General Gist - I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt (because it's definitely a Young Adult read), but the spicy scenes just throw me off. And the storyline is actually really good! This is definitely a 'filler' book, to get your from point A to point B, but didn't really hit any high notes. The 5 main characters are slowly starting to bond as they tour each district and discover secrets in each one.

🔵Rating - 3 stars - it's okay. Pretty standard enemies to romance story with a college-aged group.
🔵Steam - 2 stars - maybe even 1 star. Definitely a Young Adult book! Okay, so I had to quote some parts from the book on this, in order for you to understand where I'm coming from as an avid spicy reader.
🔵Storyline - 4 stars - it's well thought out and has a lot of information.
🔵Plot Twists - 3 stars - very compelling
🔵Emotional Pull - 1 stars - nope
🔵Writing Style - 3 stars - a little too much filler for me, but I get it.
🔵Denouement - 1 star - bc it's a filler book
🔵Cliffhanger - yep
🔵HEA - not yet

Fated Mates, Kidnapping & Corrupt Hierarchy!💘🐺😢😡👑💥
Packs Being Poorly Treated & Abused.🐺😢💔
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Blood Legacy (Wolf Moon Academy Book 2)

I enjoyed this more than book #1.👍 Mia & Liam are really bonding well, he's had his eyes opened to Alphahole ways, attitudes & opinions, even when it comes to his sister!🙏 After Mia is kidnapped & eventually found, Even definitely comes in to their side. She made a huge sacrifice for one of theirs that he really respects her for. Micah comes around too but Simon is horrible!!😔

The four heirs are sent on a tour of the region's together, Simon is furious that Mia is with them. It's while they're in Evan's region first that they discover that things aren't being run as they seem, packs are being mistreated, under fed, kept in squalor & much more!😔💔 They decide to investigate each region & not just look on the surface. Simon becomes more & more vocal in his displeasure with Mia & their choices to look below the surface.😳 Until they arrive in his region!💥

I was completely taken in by this storyline. I'm wondering if the council members are siphoning life force from the packs using the Overseers connection somehow??😱 On to book #3 to find out!🌟

Mia is already a strong heroine, but when she discovers who she really is and the part she is meant to play in the hierarchy of the wolf shifter world, she also finds herself surrounded by those who wish to keep her from attaining the goal she is meant to reach in order to bring justice to those who have been wronged by the leaders of the shifters who are only out for power for themselves. With Liam, her mate, and the group of shifters she's found as confidants, she may just have a chance. But the road to her rightful place is fraught with dangers she may not be able to escape.

This author writes not only strong heroines but women who understand when they can't accomplish their goals alone. She brings in these wonderful characters, most of whom I feel like I have to warm up to because they're not as straight-forward as they end up being as they mature throughout the story. I enjoy the way their hearts and actions change as they grow from characters I dislike to heroes in the grand scheme of things. They always face issues that have a bearing on what is going on in the world today and I take away the desire to be a better person myself. This one was especially poignant, and I can't wait to see what she does with these characters next.

I'm loving this new group dynamic! Mia is influencing and changing things and it's an absolute necessity. This second edition has one entertaining and spicy plot and it's ever thickening! What choices lie ahead and will more fated mates be introduced?! These are the burning questions that kept me flipping though these unputdownable pages! Say yes to sexy shifters and broody male alphas and to females who don't roll over.

Mia is hella strong and determined to make things better for all wolf shifters. She's this confusing breath of fresh air and the heirs are finally taking notice of her worth. I loved seeing these strong dudes slowly learning that the Mia Way, is the only correct way forwards.

Liam is just as delicious but now we're seeing his softer side and that makes for one hawt guy any girl could fall for. He's still rocking those serious alpha vibes and it's just such fun to see those on display.

I'm loving the glimpses of the other heirs and seeing things click for them individually is very fist pump worthy.

Jen L. Grey knows how to entertain. She mixes the perfect blend of sensuality and action fraught moments that quickly draw you in!

Reality

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Perception is reality regardless if it’s real. I wish I could remember the name of my psychology professor who said that. It’s still true. If you only ever see the Willis building or Empire State Building from 45,000 in the air they will always appear puny. If you are standing directly in front of one of these buildings and look up they will appear as monsters of human innovation and architecture. Perception equals reality. Four men were shown the world through dirty, spotty rosé colored glasses. Liam, Malchom, Evan and Simon didn’t know what they didn’t know until they knew what they were never told. Sometimes you have to see to believe. Sometimes even when you see, you can choose not to believe. Then you get slapped in the face by a truth you can’t look away from. It’s an enlightening journey that takes Mia and the four heirs on a tour of all their regions. Truths will be revealed that can’t be ignored. Poor Simon. Someone get him a sippy cup and a binki (pacifier). He isn’t coping well.
