Eiichiro Oda (尾田栄一郎, Oda Eiichirō) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the manga and anime One Piece.

As a child, Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's works and aspired to become a manga artist. He recalls that his interest in pirates was probably sparked by the popular TV animation series titled Vicky the Viking. He submitted a character named Pandaman for Yudetamago's classic wrestling manga Kinnikuman. Pandaman was not only used in a chapter of the manga but would later return as a recurring cameo character in Oda's own works.

Big Mom's making a great impression despite never even showing up in the flesh. An impressive demonstration of true power, and how the Four Emperors have a lot more going for them than brute strength and armies. That's all we'd seen of Whitebeard or Kaido so far - now the notion was vindicated.

She's a relative newcomer on the scene but I'm taking her seriously already. Perhaps even more so than Kaido. But of a shame how it would go for her later on, but for a while, she was to be feared.

Maybe not the minks, though. The minks fear nothing. The final scene shows as much, and it's one of the big greats of the comic - one of the very few to almost make me tear up whenever I read it.

Some spotlight for Chopper, too. That's never a bad thing. Chopper is my favourite and rather neglected in the New World, though he matured a great deal over the timeskip, became more independent and less childish, capable of issuing commands.

Te juro que me he emocionado muchísimo leyéndolo.

I'm almost caught up with One Piece. I read over 100 chapters in the last few days so I thought it's time to add a volume to my "Read" pile. I normally don't add manga volumes because I feel like they falsify my reading challenge.

I really enjoyed the last few arcs. Excited to see what happens to Sanji from now on!

Arguably one of the best things about One Piece is that everyone immediately recognizes the straw hat as being worn by Shanks because apparently there's only one straw hat in the whole world.

We pick up with the crew having come to Zou and they see the elephant and then climb up and find out about the Minks here and Duke Dogstorm and Cat Viper and the battle that happened with Jack, one man of Kaido and how he wrecked the city and how their crew was responsible for saving them. Really good stuff. And then Luffy and all partying and it serves as an introduction to the next big arc with Sanji which was awesome! Also RAIZO?!

Volume 81: Chapter 807-816

It's been a while since I read more One Piece, and I have to say the introduction to this arc isn't really grabbing me. I find random backstory for Sanji popping up to cause problems too convenient. Its been 81 volumes... and this is just now cropping up.

Oh well, lets keep chugging along

Reread 2019 : I don't think I've shown the right level of excitement before : I LOVE THIIIIIIIS.
No one asked but here is my opinion of the Dressrosa : while it is not my favorite arc I think it has some very strong moments. I must mention how much I love the amount of Trafalgar content here (the flashbacks kill me). And some of the characters introduced are just amazing (I love Bartholomew. He's such a fanboy). My main problem is probably the fact that the mugiwaras are separated so we don't see half of the crew for so many volumes. I loved when Sabo reappeared. I will fight people for him. And I do like the fact that the arcs are less episodic now? Starting from Punk Hazard up until fighting Kaido each arc is a consequence of the previous one, instead of just being the log pose pointing in a new direction. I think this shift had to happen because we had to accelerate, episodic wouldn't have made sense in the second half of Grand Line I think. This way is more cohesive in my opinion. And we learn a bunch about the main story arc (reaching the last island) while still getting some character development and great stories. I'm looking forward to the next arc with the entire crew however. Because I miss them together.
Anyway, to talk about Zou (not sure what the english spelling is), I like this mini arc. First, I really love the end of the Dressrosa arc and I like seeing Trafalgar being more 'relaxed' now. I love seeing the Mugiwara crew finally reunited, as well as the Heart crew. When it comes down to it, I live for those small interactions that are sprinkled here and there. I like catching up to what happened to the others characters, and I like the minks.
It's a bit random, but here I go : I like how Oda is paying off on stuffs he set up a while ago. Like, the possibility that Sabo wasn't dead and the mystery around Sanji's family. Some of these things have been set up pretty much since the beginning and it's good to know they haven't been forgotten.
No one asked for this rambling so I will just stop now ^^

I really liked catching up with the rest of the crew and Trafalgar finally meeting back with his crew

This arc was amazing. the Zou Arc is the twenty eight story arc in the series and the first arc in the Four Emperors Saga of One Piece, following from the Dressrosa Arc and the Dressrosa Saga. After defeating Doflamingo, the Straw hats, Trafalgar Law, Kin’emon, and Kanjuro continue on to Zou, in order the try and reunite with the other members of the Straw Hats. Some major themes of the arc is that one of the members is taken by one of the Four Yonkos and we were also introduced into a new race of people, as well as meeting these people called the minks, they are animal people, they have been living in Zou for centuries now without any problems. After so long a menace shows up to disturb all those centuries of peace, that menace is called Jack. he is looking for certain person who the minks claim doesn’t inhabit the island. With that being said Jack goes on a rampage killing many, this is where the straw hats come into play and try and stop jack from killing. another this is that a revealing dark backstory is told upon a certain crew mate. I believe this arc shows what people will do when they are bribed with something they want enough and they show their true colors as shows when Sanji leaves the crew for something he will not share. I loved this arc it was very thrilling and had many different twists along with a lot of storyline behind it. We are introduced into a whole new group of pirates or(side group) that will affect the story later on in the series. I would recommend reading this arc because it has a lot of important details leading up to the next arc as well as it has a lot of cool pages and artwork in the manga.i would not change anything about the arc i believe it was very well written along with the facts that for once in a long time it had pretty good pacing instead of the manga dragging on. I hope you enjoy the manga as much as I did!

👀👀

I can’t wait to get into this arc. I love the idea of the island being on a giant elephant’s back. That is so creative. It’s funny to see these animal like humans. I want to learn more about their history with the people of Wano.

I am interested in knowing more about the Vinsmoke family! I just assumed that Sanji was an orphan so it’s surprising to learn that he has a family. I wonder what happened between them and Sanji. Also I wonder if Sanji met pudding before. He looked scared when they mentioned her which is shocking since he loves woman so I assume he would jump at the chat of having a wife. I’m excited to get into Sanji’s past. He is an og crew member so that fact that he was hiding stuff is crazy to think about. I am ready to see the crew have his back!

Thoughts while reading:

- HAHAHA I LOVE HOW THEY ARE HYPING NAMI AND CHOPPER UP
- Slay chopper I see you using your medical skills
- LMAOOO cats vs dogs?
- AWWWW I love seeing usopp’s crew grow up
- Wano 👀
- LMAOOO NOT EVERYONE FIGHTING LUFFY
- I like the day knight’s design
- I LOVE THE COVER OF 809 LIKE THE VIBES?? TATTOOS?? 100/10
- The chefs making a cake of sanji’s old bounty picture is so funny
- Damnnn Sanji, nami, chopper and brook went to work‼️‼️
- I LOVEEE THIS DRESS ON NAMI
- HE KILLED HIM???
- HE IS GETTING MARRIED??
- LABOONNNNN! I cant wait for a reunion
- PUDDING IS BIG MOM’S DAUGHTER??
- What did he whisper??
- LMAOOO not chopper having a crush on the reindeer
- I NEED VIVI TO BE A STRAWHAT PLEASE AND THANK YOU
- Luffy is pissedddd
- PLOT TWISTTTT I was not expecting the dog and cat kings to be hiding a samurai
- I didn’t expect them to actually like the people of want

in Zou, there are two rulers, Prince inuarashi and master nekomamushi. they were both in coma ever since the fight. each of them are awake for only 12 hours (6-6).

zou was invaded by kaido’s men finding a wano samurai called raizo. the weapon that destroyed the country is Caesar’s poison gas.

big mom’s ship followed thousand sunny to zou. pekoms was from zou. he was thanking the straw hat crew for saving his country, and just wanted to let them go after they gave him caesar but his comrade, capone, shot at him for being weak. the straw hat crew were captured. he brought them into his castle (which is in his body)

they received a wedding invitation of vinsmock family's third son, sanji, and the 35th daughter of the charlotte family, pudding. to save his friends from being embroiled in this mess, sanji left with capone.

sanji is in a family of assassins called Germa 66.

”I don't have a clue what you're talking about and even if I did, I wouldn't care. It doesn't matter anyway.

oh no, the samurai managed to climb zou, but franky, brook, and robin were sleeping.

THEY CAT AND DOG HAVE BEEN PROTECTING RAIZO. THE SAMURAI WERE RIGHT TO ENQUIRE ABOUT RAIZO. OMG MY HEART. the entire country was keeping a secret. my god.

”We and the Kougetsu clan of the Wano kingdom have been as family for longer than I care to say. Forgive us for keeping it a secret from you all. Even if it meant our kingdom's demise, we'd never rat out one of our friends to the enemy.”
