Written by Justine Triet, the story revolves around Victoria Spick, a criminal lawyer who is single and who turns up at a wedding and meets three men there: David, the father of her daughters; Vincent, a friend of hers; and Sam, a former drug dealer who she bailed out. The next day, Vincent is accused of attempted murder by his partner. The only witness at the crime scene was the victim’s dog. Victoria’s limits will be put to the test when she agrees to defend her friend in a trial that seems more absurd than realistic. Meanwhile, Sam forces himself on Victoria, having transformed himself – he is now an au pair and a trainee lawyer. As for her ex, David, he is enjoying huge success with his blog, where he posts a rather unflattering portrait of the lawyer. Forced to sue him, Victoria will have to take on these two cases and juggle her initiation into animal behaviour and the rediscovery of her own desire.

Produced by Emmanuel Chaumet for Ecce Films, Victoria is benefiting from a co-production by France 2 Cinéma and an advance on receipts by the CNC. Having also been pre-purchased by Canal+, the movie will be shot in Paris and at the Bry-sur-Marne studios. The distribution in France will be handled by Le Pacte.
