Written by Anne Le Ny with Axelle Bachman, the screenplay focuses on Marithé, who works in a training centre for adults. Her motto: helping others find their true vocation. When Carole arrives, “a wife of...” kind of woman, embarrassed about living in the shadow of Sam, her star-rated chef of a husband, Marithé, as usual, gives it all she has. Soon, Carole has regained so much confidence in her abilities that she even considers leaving her husband. But is Marithé’s dedication really a proof of her friendship? With Carole’s emancipation, Sam would be single again and Marithé does not seem oblivious to his charm...
Produced by Bruno Levy for Move Movie, On a failli être amies is coproduced by Mars Films (which will handle the French distribution), France 2 Cinéma and Ciné France 1888. Also pre-purchased by Canal+, the feature film will benefit from 40 days of filming until July 19th in Orléans and the Paris region.
It is worth mentioning that Move Movie recently unveiled the very good film Suzanne by Katell Quillévéré in the Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival (read the review and watch the video interview of the director), which features in its cast a certain... Anne Le Ny.
