Please message me directly before purchasing. theshepherdspillow@gmail.com The Shepherd's Pillow Eco luxury - Eco friendly Sleep Better - Feel Better These small wool pads are my off cuts for my duvets. They are great for your dogs bed, chairs, children playing on the floor. Animals love them because it keeps them temperature regulated. The sizes are approximate and they are not perfect pieces. My wool comes from Canadian Sheep and is washed with plant based soaps and humanely treated. The 100% Untreated Canadian Wool Fill in The Shepherd's duvets is custom carded into a dense batting. This provides the greatest possible comfort by eliminating lumps and unevenness. Hand crafted to last a lifetime. Attention is paid to every detail, with box-stitch construction. Bias tape edging gives my wool bedding the classic finishing touch. The wool is all one piece when sewn down, it will not shift and you will not have any thick or thin spots Studies show that people sleeping with wool pillows and duvets have a lower heart rate, less sleep disturbance, and increased duration of beneficial REM sleep. Wool Thermo-Regulates and is remarkably comfortable in all seasons. In the winter it warms you without overheating or causing 'clamminess'. Conversely, in warmer seasons, it actually helps to keep you cool by wicking moisture away from your skin. This capability makes wool the ideal fiber for bedding as it helps your body to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the night -- regardless of the season. Wool bedding is especially helpful for those who experience night-sweats or hot flashes. My duvets are the perfect weight for all year round. People will try to sell you a heavier weight for Winter and it is not needed when you have the perfect weight and the wool does not shift in the duvet. We can get up to 100 F where I am and the duvet will perform wonderfully. When it is that hot I prefer just a cotton sheet. Remember you are still sleeping in your house and not out in the cold. I sleep with a cool room, cooler than most people and my duvet weight is the perfect weight all year round. Wool is temperature regulating so if you are cold it will warm you up to body temperature in 60 seconds. If you are hot it will cool you down to body temperature in 60 seconds. That is the magic of wool. I put about approx. 4.8 lbs of wool in a Queen duvet. They are about 1.5 inches thick. and it is sewed down like a quilt so the wool will not move. I guarantee no separation of the wool batting - no more cold spots - thereby giving you a restful, healthy sleep. Reduces Allergens Wool is naturally mold and mildew resistant. Wool quickly absorbs and releases moisture and thus does not allow the damp conditions that molds thrive on. Other fibers, such as down and cotton, do not readily release moisture. Fire-Resistant The protective lanolin coating found in wool makes it naturally resistant to combustion. Wool filled duvets with organic cotton covers All my wool is triple cleaned with plant based soaps, no chemicals are used. If you find washable wool then it has been processed with chemicals to make it washable. With my duvets and pillows they can be spot cleaned and aired out. Care for your wool bedding. For wool-fill bedding it is a good, simple practice to keep your bedding sterile and fresh. Every 3 to 6 months reduces the need for washing. To do so, simply remove your bedding from any covering it may be in (duvet covers or pillow cases) and lay it out in a clean, sunny spot outside for a few hours during the middle of the day when the sun's intensity is at its highest. Flip the bedding over during this time so that both sides receive direct sunlight. The sun's powerful energy will sanitize your bedding and the outside air will freshen it up. Washing When washing wool duvet or mattress pad, the important thing is not to agitate the wool, as this causes the fibers to mat together and shrink. Soaking and spinning, though, are fine.
