About us
The Division of Medical Genetics works to improve the lives of patients and families with rare genetic conditions through compassionate care and the development of improved strategies for diagnosis and management. Our team provides clinical genetic services at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and Stanford Healthcare.
Our educational programs are guided by our commitment to outstanding training in a supportive environment and include a two-year residency in Medical Genetics, a four-year combined Pediatrics and Medical Genetics Residency, a two-year Master’s Program in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling, and a Medical Biochemical (MBG) Fellowship, Clinical Biochemical (CBG) Fellowship, and a Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellowship (LGG). The faculty and staff are also involved in the education of medical students as well as residents and fellows from a variety of specialties.
Our team is involved in a wide variety of research projects, collaborating with researchers at Stanford and worldwide. Through our research we work to improve the health of the rare diseases community through the development of improved diagnostics and therapeutics.
