AREA21 is an electronic dance music duo.[1][2]
It gained popularity after Martin Garrix debuted their song in his set during the Ultra Music Festival 2016 in which Garrix had headlined.[1][3][4] The duo is signed to Garrix's record label STMPD RCRDS.[5] Their identities remains unknown despite speculations about Garrix being apart of it alongside one or more vocalists.[6][1] Throughout media and journalism, AREA21 has been described as "Martin Garrix's new side project".[7][8] Their logo consists of two aliens being inside a spaceship.[9][10] Asher Roth was speculated to be the unknown member of the group.[2] The song peaked on the Spotify Viral 50 chart at third.[11]
