Unavowed is an indie point-and-click adventure game from 2015, developed and published by Wadjet Eye Games. The game was released on Steam on August 8, 2018 and distributed via HumbleBundle and GOG.com.

Gameplay

As with other games that Wadjet Eye Games have made, Unavowed maintains the classic point-and-click style of gameplay coupled with what the developer describes as a 'Bioware RPG inspired' interaction system. From the start, Player will get to choose the origin of their player character, which allows unique dialogue options during missions. The Player goes through a series of puzzling missions as the story progresses, all the while being given the choice to choose a maximum of two party members that would tag along. This allows various means to solve certain puzzles, as well as potentially hilarious or even insightful conversations with NPCs. With an interesting interaction system, the game makes sure that the choices you make along the way ultimately affect how your ending turns out.

Summary

"One year ago, a demon possessed you; forcing you to tear a trail of bloodshed through New York City. Your salvation finally comes in the form of the Unavowed – an ancient society dedicated to stopping evil.

You are free, but your world is in tatters. You have no home, no friends, and are wanted by the police. Your old life is gone, but perhaps you can start a new one. Join the ranks of the Unavowed, and fight against the oncoming darkness."
