Jean Griswold is the founder of Special Care Inc., or what is known today as Griswold Home Care. Jean founded Special Care Inc., an in-home care registry, in 1982 to provide care to people with disabilities and the elderly in the comfort of their own home.[1] Jean Griswold was inspired to start Special Care Inc. when a member of her church died of malnutrition because she was unable to take care of herself.[2]Griswold earned her bachelor's degree in economics and business administration from Douglass College in New Brunswick, N.J. She earned her master's degree in counseling from Rutgers University.[3]Jean has won numerous awards, including the Spirit of Philadelphia Award
