If you want an open text encyclopedia, have an open text encyclopedia. If you want to ban people because they weren't nice to people you prefer, than call it an invitational encyclopedia.

During my time here I've seen Jacques Delson and NightCrawler banned or blocked for offending other people considered by the sysops to be better users, the bans being justifed by JD's and NC's supposed identity with the demonic DW. The identification is based, it is claimed, on stylistic similarities, but these similarities cannot be described for security reasons. Well, that's persuasive. Secrecy, of course, is the first thing you want in an open encyclopedia.

In fact, Jacques D. and NightC. used different styles (compare their messages on my two user talk pages). Oh, but then they used the same ISP. Well, that's persuasive, eh? I use the same ISP as the Toronto Police Association, but that doesn't make me a policeman. But the probability of the coincidence is low. Although no one can tell me how they worked out the probability. Like they worked it out, eh?

Anyway, I can work out the probability that an obvious anglophone and an obvious francophone are the same person. It's zero.

And I was told that you won't be blocked for supporting another user, and then Chris Jones spoke up for NightCrawler and was blocked, because we know that Chris Jones = NightCrawler = DW.

Oh, well. Have fun.
