2Clix Software is a software developer in based in Australia. The name comes from the company's philosophy that "Nothing should take more than 2 clicks to open"[1]

History

2Clix was founded in 1997 in Australia, but they also have offices in the United Kingdom. The company's flagship product, 2Clix (also called Platinum One) is a Business Management and Accounting suite.

2Clix was awarded the 'Monthly' Gold Coast Business Excellence Award for Information Technology in July 2004[2] and July 2005[3]. Further, 2Clix was awarded with the Gold Coast Business Excellence Award for Information Technology for 2005 at a Gala event attended by over 600 guests[4].

Whirlpool controversy

Template:Ongoing lawsuit On September 11th, 2007, Whirlpool announced that its founder, Simon Wright, was being sued[5] by 2Clix for alleged 'Injurious Falsehood'[6][7], a tort not dissimilar to defamation under Australian law, resulting in "a severe downturn in monthly sales"[8]. Specifically, 2Clix are claimingCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).. The complaint has conflicting claims of damages, asking the court for AU$150,000 total in the summary of relief, but claiming damages of AU$150,000 per month elsewhere.[7]

Whirlpool users have begun donating money to assist the site in its coming legal battle. Some users claim to have personally donated more than AU$1000 through Paypal[9] and the Managing Director of PIPE Networks has personally pledged AU$10,000 to support Whirlpool's cause[10].

2Clix has advised that they are filing Notice to Discontinue shortly via their legal team.
